- Take a ride with us on the scenic and historic Illinois & Michigan Canal Trail from LaSalle to Morris, Illinois. This trip was 40 miles each way on the beautiful I&M Canal Trail. Lots of lovely landscapes, beautiful nature, historic sites, and wildlife to enjoy. Cheers!

You are inspiring me to get out and ride rail trails in the Southeast US. We are now planning to ride the Silver Comet Trail from Atlanta to the Alabama state line. Looks great!! I am planning a ride of the I&M and Hennepin next spring over a few days. Where did you find the best sources for maps and milage? What about camping opportunities?
Thanks for checking out our ride! It was super fun and very pretty ride, especially in early fall. Next time, I’d like to complete the entire ride to the city. Also interested in the Hennepin trail. I found my maps & trail info at the web links in the credits of my video. As for camping, we did pass a few sites from time to time that had a picnic table and fire pit- I’m not sure of the camping rules tho. Also, perhaps further down the way or off trail there are other camping options. We stayed at a motel for one night in Morris on this 2-day trip. Had a blast tho! Hope you get to do the rides in the spring! Cheers 😎👊🏼🚲
