Very cool video! I ride all that but most times dont allways get to starved rock. Amazing trail! I ride a heavy dual suspension enduro and only take along a filled backpack. I allways carry a good telescopic fishing rod setup. There is some amazing spots to fish! I recomend this trail for all! And the longer the trip, the better!
rode again but fell short of Aux Sable due to running out of time and had to turn around. Looking back at this video, it looks like we took the same route in Joliet only to find a bridge crossing was under construction and had to find an alternate route to pick up the trail again.
I'm planning a similar trip on the I&M sometime this upcoming Spring between Channahon and Peru, and your video has been very informative. Thanks for posting your trip!
I would say 90% Trail and 10% Roadway. There is street travel in Joliet, about 3 miles between Gaylord Donnelley trail and I&M Canal. 1 mile between trail connection in Morris. If connecting from Ottawa town to Starved Rock camping, about 6 miles on road. If connecting from North Utica to Starved Rock Camping, about 3 miles on the road. I started from Schneider's pass Romeoville and traveled about 80 miles.

Great video. I have only ridden from Willow Springs to Joliet Iron Works but this makes me want to continue on until Aux Sable, at least.
Yes! Most definitely do it. Aux Sable is a highlight on the trail. Thanks for the comment.

Yup, I had to deal with that "bridge construction" too. I did Starved rock on Friday to Sunday. Did about 160 miles.
