    I'm a huge fan of Hydrochloride creatine. Every since I switched over to it instead of one of the others I've noticed a big difference in stomach bloating and water retention. And when it comes to performance in the gym it helped me out noticeably at first but now I don't feel it so much but the same thing happened with the monohydrate.
    Also I just wanted to say that really appreciate you posting these videos. Out of all of these information videos I've seen so far yours are by far the best when it comes to the information provided and I dig how your not trying to get us to go to such and such website to get our free trial of bla bla bla. Keep posting and I'll keep watching and recommending them to my friends.

    As we all know energy is neither created or destroyed as energy is being converted from one form (glucose or kitones )to another (into ATP )in the mitochondria through aerobic respiration ..in the same way creatine is used as a carrier of that energy (by borrowing one phosphate) and binding with one ADP molecule so that it can be converted to ATP..An ATP molecule acts a currency of energy and is the molecule recognized and used by the muscles in order to contract..Energy is ‘used’ when an ATP molecule is hydrolyzed back to ADP +PI and the opposite occurs for energy to be ‘created’

    Clicked on to see what Thomas had to say about creatine HCL. In my experience, it allows me to take creatine only when I train. This is due to claims that it is absorbed much better than monohydrate, and there is no need to load and keep loading. It's also claimed to not bloat or not cause excess water retention. Again, these are only claims, but it seems to work in my case.

    • @earlcoles5215
      @earlcoles5215 3 роки тому +1

      I would like your honest opinion, but first I would like to start off by saying this: One out of many main reasons why creatine is effective is because it brings water to the muscle cells enhancing your workouts. But if HCL does not bring water into your body like it claims, then how is it an effective creatine? I just want to make sure I'm not wasting my money on the very expensive HCL creatine if it isn't necessary. Bottom line is: Without the water retention that gives your muscles that extra boost that regular monohydrate gives, can one personally still claim that he absolutely feels the powerful effect of this HCL creatine the same way one would feel with the monohydrate version? Thanks for your honesty

    • @juddingsss
      @juddingsss 3 роки тому

      @@earlcoles5215 Water going into the muscle is simply a side effect of creatine monohydrate intake and not what makes it work to boost performance. It's not a good or a bad thing, it just happens (probably because it's needed for monohydrate to be absorbed - don't quote me). IIRC, monohydrate needs a lot of water to be absorbed and transported to muscles, meaning where it goes, the water goes with it. The HCL with creatine HCL makes creatine much easier to be absorbed, meaning you'll need less of it and you can skip the loading phase. Bottom line is: water in the muscles does not make you perform better, its creatine itself. HCL form creatine gets to the muscles much easier with less water compared to monohydrate.
      I've only used creatine HCL (never used monohydrate) and only on days where intensity of my workouts is high. I've tried it with and without and I can say I get a slight boost from it. Nothing dramatic, but everybody is different and can utilize creatine more or less effectively than I can.
      Maybe you can try HCL and compare

    You kind of got the creatine ethyl ester description wrong. Esterification of drugs is what is called a prodrug strategy, which means the prodrug is turned into the active drug after first pass metabolism in the liver. In this case, creatine ethyl ester is converted into one molecule of creatine and one molecule of ethanol after hitting the liver. The whole idea is to avoid drug loss due to first pass metabolism. An example of a pro drug is heroin, which is transformed into the biologically active form after metabolism. In this example, one molecule of heroin forms one molecule of morphine and two molecules of acetic acid. Acetylation of morphine into the prodrug heroin dramatically increases the bioavailability of morphine. Theoretically, the same effect would happen with esterification of creatine.

    I didn't expect you to go into such details. But let me dig deeper. That energy creation when ATP loses a phosphate is actually a manifestation of Einstein's famous E = m.c² equation a.ka. the mass-energy relation. For two atoms to bind together requires some energy, which you can think of as suspending a weight to the ceiling : it takes energy to lift the weight up there, and then that energy remains stored as potential energy. If you cut the tie, the energy is recovered : it's in the kinetic energy of the weight falling to the ground. In the case of atoms and molecule, the energy used to create a bond ends-up stored inside that bond as mass, which means that ATP is actually *heavier* than ADP and a phosphate. When ATP turns to ADP, that slight excess of mass turns back into energy, and that's what powers our muscles (and everything else). It's the exact same mechanism as nuclear explosions : when you break a uranium atom, the sum of the broken pieces is lighter than an uranium atom, the difference was the energy that held the atom together, getting converted into energy. Same principle for conventional explosives, except those are inter-atomic links that are getting broken, and they hold less energy than intra-atomic links.
    OK, back to doing push-ups. Still not using creatine but very soon. I've just decided to start, it'll be delivered tomorrow.

People get caught up on thinking it's supposed to be better than mono as far as strength increases, but really you are paying to get rid of the side effects of mono rather than increased results

    I really like your videos, however, your explanation of the ATP-CP system is incorrect.
    Creatine does not "steal" a phosphate molecule. It does the exact opposite...it donates a phosphate molecule to replenish ADP to ATP. The oxidation of macronutrients is what produces ATP. And the hydrolizing of a phosphate group is what 'burns up' and converts to heat (energy). Extra CP allows ADP to become useful as ATP for more energy production.

    I was told that you can take Creatine in powdered form and mix it with BCAA. Is this correct?
    2. I also take an Amino Acid. Are Creatine and Amino a good combo. The amino I take in cycles (3 on and 4 off)
    3. My Dr advised me if I want to add Creatine\Amino Acid to my workout to do the on and off thing. As they are both hard on the kidneys (which I have healthy kidneys). He also advises me to DRINK a lot of water. Any advice?
    4. Should we be doing pills or powder form?

    I don't know if Mr DeLauer will actually read this but if he does, i would love to see a video on supplements, and wether they are recommended for overweight people or not. For example; would like to hear his opinion on the eternal debate on overweight people using protein supplements. Same for creatine. Some say it should be avoided until the person is closer to its ideal weight, and others say that their benefits far outweigh the cons, so it can be used from the very beginning of the excecise and diet regime. Even if you are overweight. I've been reading for many years and still there is no definite answer

    The benefit of alkaline creatine is less bloating and water retention. You look better on it and apparently less creatinine byproduct. Correct me if I’m wrong. On monohydrate I gain 10 lbs of water retention. The first week I look great then after I look like a water balloon and I feel the water in my face
