Bravo Mark, what a fine shave. I could sense how comfortable you were with the razor, soap and brush. Well done! Again, my congratulations on reaching 10K subscribers (reiterated from my comment in your 10K subscriber video). You will note that I opted out of the drawing...pretty simple reasoning on my part, hoping that such nice prizes might land on the doorstep of some gentleman just starting his wet shaving journey. In a previous video, you mentioned the recent acquisition of a 1918 Gillette razor...how splendid! You were also in the decision making process on which soap to use on a video with all of us. For the last few days, I have returned to one of my favorite soaps, Mitchell's Wool Fat. It is purported to be the same 1893 formula (although formal production did not commence until the early 1930s according to the Mitchell's Wool Fat website). My question has always been whether the the chemist, Fred Mitchell in Bradford, UK may have made the acquaintance of King Gillette who passed away in 1932. Perhaps, Mitchell knew of King Gillette's razors as a part of his decision to produce the soap. Who knows? By the way (BTW) I have use this soap many times with my 1909 Gillette razor (with clear serial number on the barrel insert)...shaves like a dream...definitely "a light touch let the razor do all the work..." shave. As always, with my compliments and kindest personal regards, Charles K.
Great shave Mark. I agree that Fine Accoutrements Soap produces a very slick lather. However, I have had Italian Citrus and the Platinum soaps and the scents ate non-existent to my nose. The same can be sad of there aftershaves. As a result, I won't purchase Fine Accoutrements again. I am into aromatherapy when shaving and prefer soaps like Stirling, Cella and others with stronger scents. Have a nice weekend.
Well, almost trouble free. That little nick in the back was unforeseen, but easily corrected. It sealed up nicely. Perhaps I need to run my hand around the back of my head before I lather, just to make sure I'm more aware of small, potential obstacles.:)
@@MarkSzorady the after shave is nice. More of a scent then the soap. A nice lemon cologne scent. Brings back a few memories of past cologne like english leather or others frim that era.
I have Supply’s Gold version coming (think it’s limited to 1,000🤷🏼♂️). They deserve a purchase. Their vids got me into wet shaving about 2 years ago.. but I never gave them a shot.
I saw that email announcement. Looks like a wonderful deal! With the Supply SE, just remember to approach at a 15 degree angle. Place the logo/name that's carved on the razor head against your face, and you'll have the correct angle.:) Like all safety razors, use a light touch. Let us know how you like it.:)
Great shave Mark. Soap sounds excellent. Have a great weekend. 👍👍👍
I'm a big fan of their platinum line

I only have 1 citrus shave soap. Lucky Tiger, it reminds me of lemon and orange marangue pie 😅
I like the scent ofLucky Tiger. This particular scent is a different. A bit more refined. Again, it's somewhat subtle.
@@MarkSzorady thanks for all your reviews and answers over the years! So glad I found your channel
