Mine arrived today and did a test lather. I was amazed with the results. It's very soft right out of the box, still maintains its backbone and created enough lather for 2 passes which I prefer. My other boar is 22mm and it's a bit small so I'm happy upgrading to a 24mm knot
Good shave Mark!!! Out of the "Mass produced shave brushes" Omega brushes are my favorites. I have been using them for years, and they have been very durable, and they are not super pricey. I have about 15 different brushes from Omega, and all of them have been broken in perfectly. My favorite is my Omega 639 Silvertip, followed by my 21762, which is the Italian flag handled one with boar bristles. They have outperformed just about every other animal brush I have owned, including my old Simpson brushes of comparable size. But I will admit, I've really been into the Semogue brushes lately, as I have added 4 to the collection recently, and they have not let me down either.... God I love this hobby!!!!!
Hi, NY Diesel in Fl!:) Sounds like a great Omega brush collection.:) The Omega brush has really performed will for em.:) I love it!:) Thee's something about it...a different kind of feel and performance than the other boar brushes I've used. All are good, but the Omega really shines.:)
Mark thnx again for this Omega 10066 Boar Brush review.I just ordered a new Omega 48 Boer Brush on Amazon for under $ 8 including shipping !! Not a Prime member there, either
Amazon been Blowing out the Black handle Omega Blond boar razor and The Lubriderm shave balm recently, but pulled the trigger on the Semogue 1460 and Omega 11126… I like my synthetic brushes, but since trying the “Surrey/VDH/Goodline/Blade” single band boar brush … hooked lmao It really bloomed nicely, and only been using it since Dec 12th? Excited to see how the newbies go! Happy Shaving And Happy New Year
Hi Mark- Great shave and brush review; thank you! Very nice-looking brush. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and please take good care; be safe and be well! Best regards, as always!
As a recommendations. You should make a video on a barely starting wet shaver. Omega 10066, beginner soap, beginner razor, beginner blades, beginner after shave... And extra is a pre-shave. Also, how you prep for your shave as a beginner.
@@MarkSzorady thanks. I love your videos! I got the omega 10066. Also, the parker a1r for traveling. But, the only thing left I want to try is pacific shave. Into mint and mentholated products.
@@wcorella57 Thanks.:) Pacific shaving after shave balm has a nice spearmint scent and feel to it.:) Effective. I need to pull that one out again.:) also, if you like menthol, consider the Cube 2.0 form PAA in menthol. And take a look at their Chill Mill which allows you to add menthol to any shave soap.:) Chill Mill: bit.ly/3c6YqYq Cube 2.0: bit.ly/30bsIU3 Affiliate links.:)
Did prefer Semogue boars, but they get quite floppy, whilst Omega stays soft, yet backboned. Semogues badger, badger/boar mixed versions in another worlds dimension, though. Cheers fm Singapore+

Mark, where can you send question to your Monday mailbag segment?
Hi, Rob B.:) Mail your questions or comments to: mondaymailbag@gmail.com
Do you have eastern european roots? Your surname is like polish, czech or russian heritage.
There’s a reason why the Italian barbers use these brushes.
