In driving pleasure and amazing dynamics, and the style of both interior and exterior are gorgeous. But the Germans have better technologies and higher build quality. That’s a shame because Alfa Giulia had a lot of potential, but there are lot of aspects where this car shows its limits saddly!
Not every buyer has the same opinions about vehicle features as this journalist. I prioritize exterior design and vehicle dynamics much higher than interior luxury, so the Alfa is more interesting to me than the BMW/Audi/Mercedes rivals.
He was more interested in button and dash quality than how good the car is in all other ways. This car drives and handles so much better than its rivals. If your looking at a car that drives and handles as good as the Alfa it will cost you double the price of this Alfa Veloce
Proper gearheads and drivers buy an Alfa. It's a real driver's car and never fails to put a smile on my face and my passengers, especially in the Dyn (D) driving mode. It turns heads and people make lovely remarks about it to my face all the time (when its clean!). Stunning from head to tail. It's like being in an exclusive club with other Giulia owners waving or thumb-upping me. I've owned the german rivals and this just don't happen. If you want to be different and escape the german car manufacture brain washing program/s try the modern day Alfa range. The Giulia Veloce is the pick of the bunch in either Q2 or Q4 guises. The dealers are good too and behave in a more human like way. All in all a great motoring experience. Saving for a s/h Alfa QF after driving one. Unbelievable power, grace, beauty and balance. A real poor man's Ferrari! The impressive 2.9 V6 is an Alfa developed engine not a Ferrari one just to correct things. Ferrari asked to use this unit from Alfa not the other way round. Keep the wonderful cars coming Alfa. I salute you!
I took a look at the spaceship interior of the new S Class today (obviously not a comparable class car), my point is why are measuring why that German interiors are so good when they're so expensive and unnecessarily luxurious.
Ok , we own one , and the Germans rivals suck compared to this baby. Speaking from experience .. the cheaper plastics ?? Where ?? If you’re talking about the door trims , bottle holder, they’re actually really good. To clean scuff marks off are a breeze, can’t say the same for the dearer plastics on the German rivals .. a nightmare to keep clean. The giulia’s Only sad thing is it’s TC can’t be turned off.. that’s it. The rest, it’s a fantastic car that turns a lot of heads... unlike it’s German boring , soulless rivals 🤠
Yes, I guess the soul of this car resides in the grill copied from a '59 Edsel. I guess that saying about "one" being born every minute still holds true.
Coming from someone who owns 3 bmw's, I'd give every nice material and technology from my car for a glimpse of that prestigious feeling of an Alfa driver! (which i'm probably gonna do pretty soon lol)
At 3:09 is reported that it has 17 cubic feet or 480 liters of trunk or boot space. This is not a TOP 500 SEDAN, which belongs to the select group of those whow have more than 500 liters of capacity in its trunk or boot, but it is bigger than the trunk of the MOST SELLING CAR IN THE WORLD for more than 10 years, the Toyota Corolla with 470 liters of capacity. I'm going to put this video on my decents sedans playlist.
I think the review misses the point. People who would buy the Alfa over the BMW are actually looking for the "Ultimate Driving Machine" something that no longer accurately describes the 3 Series. People who would buy the 330i over the Alfa are probably more interested in luxury and tech, and don't care as much about driving dynamics.
have they fixed the over sensitive touchy brakes? Have they fixed the silly indicator stalk operation? Have they fixed the oversensitive light steering? Do all models get a LSD now?
Everyone is always trying to top the German brands. There is a reason for that. They are consistently better. The best that this car can do is possibly match them or possibly excel in a few areas. That is why this car is a flop. Ooh, and that so-called italian styling, with a grill like an Edsel!
The Germans no doubt are innovative in some aspects , but from experience they’re full of issues too. Have a look at the complaints on their Facebook pages. I haven’t seen any of that on AlfaRomeo australia fb page. Or internationally. You get the odd guy who trolls but ends up admitting he’s never owned one. And the grill is nothing like an Edsel 😂
@@EastWood2004 Agreed. For those that have owned Benz or BMW a Lexus is still a step down. It is usually those moving on from a toyota or other make falsely feel that Lexus is so much better. Toys up-market brand has achieved one thing over the years and that is to increase the competition to keep the likes of German makes to become better in terms of innovation. I feel Lexus also has an edge in reliability but as far as build quality and driving dynamics, the Germans have that locked up. As for Alpha, this is a nice attempt but they are not going to make it with that ugly face and continued substandard reliability.
Lot better than German cars in every aspect

Agree
This is the best car I have ever owned
Always a joy to drive
Cannot agree more. It's got character, great handling and fun. Love my Veloce too.
so you watch reviews of the car that u own, is there something wrong with you, or the car? Perhaps both LMAO

Magnificent car. The presenter would be more suited to a science show or reviewing circuit boards.

More details on the engine would have been nice.

Wish it was an NA V6 manual. Still would buy.
"touch screen is super responsive" proceeds to show the laggiest display since carousel slide machines were a thing.
