Hey JcPerez It appears NissTec no longer has the mounting points on their website. P-P Engineering sells near/if not Identical recovery points. Here is the link: p-p-engineering.myshopify.com/products/2nd-gen-2005-nissan-frontier-rear-bolt-on-recovery-points
Hey @ARIODAY1 I just double checked right now and it looks like the P&P Engineering website is down. Not sure why… hopefully after the new year they will get their site up and running running. Recently found you can buy the OEM recovery hook at NISSAN PARTS PLUS for 46$. Yeah here you go on the NISSTEC webpage. They are currently having a sale. nissteclifts-com.3dcartstores.com/Front-OR-Rear-Recovery-Points-Xterra-Frontier-05-current_p_660.html
All xterra’s should have a tow hook opposite the driver side- safety issue incase of a failure, recovery gear will be more likely to hit the passenger side of the vehicle as opposed to the driver side, why it’s opposite setup for x’s with right side driver set-ups. Also- I would check those shackle sizes, the WLL (working load limit) should be 3.25 tons for recovery iirc. Those looks like galvanized 3/8ths shackles which are only about 1 ton if I’m correct.
Yeah good point. In that case it would be better to have a front bumper with higher recovery points. I do have a rear hitch so if I was stuck nose first I don't think it would be much of a problem. I just depends on what you plan on doing.
Hi could you share the url for nisstec?

Thanks for the info about the Xterra and the shackles I had no idea. I will definitely look into some heavy duty shackles!
those are so low you won't be able to use them if you are in a mud hole or front first ditch. what is the plan then?

Put the same on my Frontier. Have yet to use them as well, fortunately I guess. They are beefy but not rated.
Better somewhat safe than sorry. Right? haha
@@gainingaltitude1562 Really anything is better than the flimsy factory tied down point.
Can you post a link in the Description? I can’t find the website.
@ARIODAY1 Apparently the website is currently down?
Just a tip for your future videos, go easy on the "umms" and "ahhs".
