This concert is flawless start to finish. I mean flawless. When they married up the video with sound, they only had to fix two very small clips. Garry's base dropped out, and same with a clip of sax. All the camera's tape (35mm) stopped and had to be changed out and "Lately" was not in the original DVD concert when released. We had to wait 27 years for that to be recovered and added back to the remaster release. 27 years!!! It seem like an eternity. Yes the band was run like a military and you can even find an interview with INXS security talking about it. I know this was recorded at the peak of the career, but I saw one of the last concerts in the US and it was every bit as good as this, maybe more intimate, no hint of what was to happen a few months later. They were also this good when I saw them years before this concert. They were than damn good every time I saw them!!!
It sounds like you have such amazing memories of their concerts! It's incredible how much effort goes into producing such flawless performances, and waiting 27 years for a remaster is truly a testament to the band's legacy.
Was lucky to see them in '85 in London when touring Listen Like Thieves and again when touring Kick. At the Royal Albert Hall. We crashed the security barriers and got up close to stage. The Best!

The song was recorded by Hutch prior to his death and then Michael Gill asked Bono to also sing and add in some additional lyrics after his death. Incredibly powerful song when one understands his death. Strongly recommend.

They were unbeatable live, they lost a bit of magic when Michael left us, never, for me, captured that full magical experience.
