    I just got a version 1.0 with a Ryzen 3900x and a 1080ti hybrid as a partial trade for my 12700k/3080 4k build. I decided to switch out the Lian Li Lancool 1 case with a Enthoo Pro 2 so i can run my 420mm aio and have room to throw in my asrock itx 2600x and actually have a double system for at least a few days...Well I picked up a solid Gskill Trident Z Neo 4x8gb kit for a couple huindred bucks and of course I went into the bios and turned on xmp to 3600mhz and set the fabric to 18...booted up just fine and at first it lasted about 30 hours of playing dying light 2. Then this piece of trash board started to show its true colors, it took me awhile to figure out what the hell i did wrong and what was causing my now consistant random Bsods every time i turn it on and start gaming/doing anything... After making sure my drivers were all right for my card set up or if jumping from 1080p up to a decent 1440p monitor could be the issue. i really thought it would be my card swaps over the last month and a half. Started with the 1080ti, then got a founders 6700xt and now i finnaly got around to installing my new baby a xfx blacl 6900xt.
    All of the hours of headache and scouring my bios settings and ram settings including making sure my timings were correct etc...I watched buildzoids video about this board, reset my cmos and instead of turning my xmp on i kept it at stock...been 3 days now and hasnt bsod'ed a single time since. So now im gonna have to pull this board out and pick up a decent board locally so i can send this board off to the hellscape that is a random normie's house.

    Would the elite version offer the same level of gaming performance?

    X570 fans are often a problem with larger graphics cards I've found. Simple enough to solve and I just bought one of these used

    Thanks! I never understood what's the difference between rev 1.0 / 1.1 / 1.2 with Gigabyte.

      The 1.1 and 1.2 has a different memory controller than 1.0, that supports higher frequencies.

      @@danilonatalino4497 The Memory Controller is on the CPU.

      1.1 and 1.2 dont bsod when you put your 3600mhz 4x8gb trident z at anything over 2133... Stupid piece of shit board.

    Hows the chipset fan? That is my only worry. Rather go B550 board than have a constant whiny little POS fan

    If running 2 GPU's with 5900X does it run at 16 x 2 or 8 x 2?

    So how would you compare this to the Asus Strix x570-e gaming? Temps/vrm wise? Which one do you think is better?

    • @WKHardware
      @WKHardware  3 роки тому +1

      Very similar mobos, i would say Strix should runs vrm slightly cooler, but the difference is not big.
