My setup: Z690 UD DDR4 128gb ddr4 Ram RTX 3090 asus tuf 1000watts I‘m getting the i9-14900k next month. I had the 10900k till now in a prebuilt pc. really glad the motherboard made some good scores on the cinebenech and vray tests, as I‘ll be using it for 3d work and audio production. 👍
Thanks for the review. I bought this motherboard for 170 euro (cheapest z690 available) to pair with an i3 12100F, so I can finally upgrade my i7 2600k. A decent B660 motherboard is maybe 30/40 euro cheaper, so I might as well buy this one for future proving, since it can handle 13th gen with a bios update. For some it's better to buy the Z790 since those can handle DDR5 which will get cheaper and faster in the future. But I am on a tight budget so I decided to go for the cheaper one, saving around 130 euro because DDR5 is more expensive as well. I already have a wifi adapter, so no wifi didn't bother me. I hope there are no troubles, if there are I will try to report it here.
I just built my first gaming PC with this board. I'm so confused with WIFI and Bluetooth. I thought this chipset had built in Wifi 6? Am I mistaken? Any help? Thanks.
@@bainjo8688 i returned the 12900k and im going for the 12700k i play also on 1440p i own a 3080 so i hope this board is just as good as the aorus elite z690 ddr4 it could save me 80 bucks.
j'ai acheté la même C.Mère avec le 12600kf pour garder mes 32go de ddr4 3200 + RTX 2080 super et ça envoi du pâté !!! Ca éclate un 11900k (@stock) avec un peu d'OC a 5ghz pur les P.cores et 3.8 pour les E.cores. 2800 points sur cinebench r15, 11830 points sous r23, 790/8050 points sous CPU-Z et 14650 point de score cpu sous Time Spy. (mon 6700k arrivait à peine a 5400 sous ce dernier) Pour la qualité de la Gigabyte UD, oui elle est moche! mais elle est tout à fait capable de prendre un I7 ou I9 car les VRM sont nombreux (16+2+1) et il y a un connecteur 8+4 broches pour alimenter le processeur. c'est ma 3eme Gigabyte Ultra Durable en 12ans avec un Phénom 4 955 pour la premiere puis suivi d'un I7 6700k pour la suivante et rien à dire sur cette gamme de carte. Il est vrai que la carte son est mauvaise en comparaison des deux anciennes. Je pense que dans le futur je passerais sur un 13700k.
1:16 Is that reset button to power it on before its installed in the case? i am doing my first build and i want to run the motherboard, CPU and ram outside the case for troubleshooting if anything goes wrong
On the right side close to front I/O connectors for case its reset button. If there will be any problem for basic troubleshooting you have debug leds in the right corner of the board.
Does anyone know what the difference is between the V1 and V2 because I can't find any and I can only find stores the sell the V1 (or al least not specifying it - only the board rev.)
@@Daniel-vk7rr Because he probably already bought one just like me 😂. In all honesty, where I live this cost me 170 euro where as the MSI PRO would have costed me 200 euro. So it's a bit cheaper but still decent. I don't know which features of the MSI PRO are better, but I'm sure there are some. Just do your research.

@@VerdiStudio22 i had the same issue update to the latest bios resolved the stability problem , i returned it for the aorus elite z690 ddr4.

Did you have any Bluetooth problems with this motherboard? I can't seem to find the Bluetooth driver on Gigabyte's website
If the motherboard doesn't have built in wi-fi adapter, it means there is no bluetooth as well.

Currently BIOS version is pretty stable and there was no problem with OC.

Im not a specialist on PC but you should be able to, as it is a LGA1700 board which is compatible with all 12th gen CPUs

more usb slots in the z690 ud. more usb slots = more possibilities for drives and usb gadgets. this was the selling point for me. :)
At what point would you say plugging in the extra 4pin power cable is required
IMO, when CPU will consume over 280-300 watts. Under these values everything will be fine.
