So excited for you guys!!! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!!!
Thanks it’s been fun so far! Hopefully we are going to get some diving in along the way too.
Count me among your earliest subscribers. I’ll be watching your journey. Next Feb-Mar I’ll be taking delivery on a new Fleming 58. After some short shakedown cruises I plan to start my loop by April 2022. Maybe we’ll have a chance to meet up somewhere along the way.
Roger that is an AWESOME! boat. We could only dream of owning a Fleming. We love that boat the Nordhavn, and the Ocean Reef. Maybe some day!! Thanks for following along with us!! We are having a blast so far!
Great to see a new cruiser couple. Love the boat. Great attitude
Thanks for tuning in skip. We do love the boat too.
I’m impressed. Good job. Have a good voyage.
Thank You!!! Stay tuned we will see how this goes. Lol.
Wow we love this. How exciting. We will definitely be following your journey. God Bless!
Thanks. Hopefully we won’t bore you to death!!
We started the loop in Chattanooga TN on a Sea Ray 480 motor Yacht. For the locks, get a 12 ft 1/2" line and a rubber hose 3?4' diameter four fet long. Put the line through the hose and make a loop then tie the line to keep it closed. When locking through, simply place the loop over the ballard and secuere to the center cleat tight. It beats the hell out of trying to run lines around the ballard. Just a item we found easy to use
Thanks for the tip Barry!! We appreciate any tips for the trip. Thanks for watching and following along on our adventure.
Bon voyage! Have a great trip, and make sure to enjoy this very unique journey! Salud from Miami!
Can’t wait to get down to Miami!!
A very good friend of mine who is a 35 year Alaska ship Captain gave me the best advice ever.... "Safety Before Schedule". Your SeaRay is a nice boat but all boats are small on the Ocean. Take your time and enjoy the journey😎
Thanks that’s great advice!! Thanks for following along with us!!
Good luck cant wait to see your voyage
Thanks. Definitely the trip of a lifetime for us. Thanks for following along.
Can we get a boat tour and some details of the boat before we watch this epic adventure?! Looking forward to following along
Yes! We will be doing a boat tour video and the purchase of the boat, also a short boat prep video as well.
Congrats!!! cant wait to watch your adventures
Thanks for hanging in there with us on this adventure!!
Awesome intro video! So glad you started a channel. Looking forward to hearing about your loop experiences. 😀
Thanks you guys. It’s going to be difficult to follow you guys. You guys are awesome! Sorry we missed you in Algonac. You are ahead of us. Maybe we will catch up to you.
@@tredingwater144 I'm sure we'll see you out here! 😊
Very nice intro, We have a boat that is twice as old as yours ( 1980 Hatteras 43DCFB ) on Lake Champlain, Next year is our start of the loop we hope. We will be following your loop with great interest. Thank you for your time making these clips I know editing is hard and time consuming.
Thanks again James for the kind words. Look forward to crossing paths on the loop hopefully.
Thank you for doing this video and I look forward to following along
Hopefully we can give you some good info and entertainment.
Hello! I look forward to your journey! My wife and I are in the very early stages of great loop planning, live in the southern Adirondack mountains of NY. Good luck and happy motoring!
Thanks for following along. The Adirondack area is soo cool!!
Well done, we may or may not ever buy "the boat" and take the loop, or just putz around the great lakes (born in Pontiac, live in Iowa) but the bug is in place. We live on Lake Ponderosa here in Iowa but have thoughts of big water. I follow "try knot to sink' and "here's to us" but for now I'm "on the hard, Ed"
I get it. Both of those are great people. And since I hope you are following us now it’s like three Ed’s and a Sam. That could be a show all by itself. Lol. Again thanks for joining us on our adventure.
Nice video.
I’m 30 years away from my retirement so I might have to come up with “my way” of doing the loop.
Enjoy your trip!
Thanks for tuning in. We will have more videos coming soon.
I look forward to watching and following your journey! I’ll have the popcorn ready!
Thanks for following along! I am not sure we are popcorn worthy. Lol.
Subscribed, starting to follow y'all's journey. Sending Luck from Heritage Habor
Great meeting you! Hopefully you enjoyed your day on the river!! Thanks for following along.
"may you have fair winds and following seas" 💕
Thanks for joining in on our adventure.
GO GENORD'S !! Looking forward to the updates. Great video!!
We will see how this goes. Lol.
Hey Guys, we just found your videos last night. We hope to join you on the loop. Unfortunately we're still in the "what boat should we buy" stage. It looks like you're already having a blast! Fair winds & following seas...
Thanks for joining in on our adventure. Keep the dream alive. You will enjoy the whole thing even the frustrating things once you are on the other side of them of course. We will have more videos coming soon.
Contrary to your comment that you are not professional videographers this introduction is well made technically and pleasant to watch. I'll be watching your adventure with interest. May you have fair winds and following seas.
Thanks so much and thanks for hopping aboard our adventure.
Congratulations on your new adventures. My wife and I are in a similar situation and plan to start our Loop in 2022. Looking forward to your videos.
Thanks Cory. Hope you guys get your plans all set and get out onto the water. Thanks for following along on our adventure.
Cool plans, godspeed!
Thanks so much!! Hope you enjoy our Adventure!
You two are awesome! So looking forward to watching your great journey!!!!
Thanks!!
I congratulate you on setting off on what may be one of the most epic adventures of your lives.
I look forward to watchin your experiences with envy while planning my own trip.
If I may suggest a reference tool for your trip, what yacht to do (a you tube channel). They are currently on their platinum loop. and have excellent videos about anchoring out, traversing locks and they review the marinas they stay at.
I look forward to watching more of your experiences and hope you continue sharing them on a regular basis.
Thanks Scott. As luck would have it, we have had the pleasure of meeting those folks. Great people. Thanks for following along on our adventure.
Nice, have fun, were on the Clinton River out of Markley/ Lambrecht.
Thanks for joining. We are promising to put more content out soon. Sorry for the gap.
We just found you both! Great videos! We just recently got our "new" to us Loop boat a 2003 Carver 466 MY and plan on starting the Loop in Spring next year! We will keep up with you all, how exciting!
Thanks so much for hopping aboard our crazy adventure. New video coming out soon.
Also - CONGRATULATIONS on the new boat!!
I'm looking forward to watching your journey. It was very nice to meet you this past week in Menominee. My son was also so excited to meet you as well and he is now determined to start collecting business cards from "Loopers". lol. Good luck and safe travels from, "First Responders".
It was awesome meeting you guys too. Tell your son “Loopers” would be more than happy to share those with him!!
You are going to have a great time! We’ll be following your loop. Todd & Amy (Skula) Webster.
Thank Guys!! Gavin is doing such a great job sailing. We love following all your guys adventures too!!
We hope to start in 2 years. Glad to find you
We are Glad you found us too!! Thanks for hopping aboard our adventure!!
This is so cool. Love watching and hearing about your journey. Georgia loves you! Have fun
We love Georgia too. We would normally say keep the rubber side down. But in this case I guess it’s keep the top side up. Hmmm…. Something like that anyway. Except this is a slow race.
What a nice couple. Looking forward to following you on your travels. Please lower the background music volume.
Thanks for that great compliment. We are working on our editing skills. Still need some improvement for sure. Thanks for following along with us!!
Looking forward to following your progress! God bless you both, and your journeys!
Thanks a ton Jim and thanks for following along with us. We really appreciate it!!
OMG! This video made me so happy! Ken and I just watched and we LOVED it .... so happy for you and your big adventures!!!!! Keep the posts coming, you did a great job!
We are going to do our best to keep it up.
Have fun!!
Stay safe🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Thanks. Hope all is well over there. Always thinking about you guys.
Great story, I will be looking forward to riding along with you. I live in the Green Bay area and my first goal is to spend time in Door county and Green Bay areas to learn the ropes. Hopefully by the time I retire, my wife might be open to your trip...LOL
Your door county area is great. Also Green Bay waters are great to learn the ropes on as well. It has all great learning areas, anchorages, bridges, currents, mooring fields, marinas, open water, beaches all you are missing is locks. Get her out there I am sure she will love it. Thanks for following along!!
Excited for y’all. We are in planning, 4-5 years out (2 kids left to get thru college). Thank you for documenting your adventure. We are watching from Houston. Can you share your boat make?
Hi Dana thanks for following along! We have a 2002 Sea Ray 480 Sedan Bridge.
It was great getting to know you guys. We hope to see you along the loop! Very excited to watch your adventure unfold 🇺🇸🛥🔄
Thanks!! Glad you found us. Hopefully we run into each other. We will be sure to follow your adventures as well!!
It’s awesome to see a new powerboat channel, your trip sounds exciting. One piece of constructive feedback for your videos, consider eliminating the background music or turn the volume way down while you guys are just talking to the camera. The background music gets distracting after a while. Good luck with your journey!
Thanks. We are excited to share our adventure with all who are interested. We are aware of the audio issues we are new to editing and will hopefully improve as we go. Thanks for hanging in there with us!!
@@tredingwater144 for just starting out with audio and editing, you are doing great. Look forward to continuing to follow your channel.
@@christopherwhyte2360 never did it before. UA-cam University for all of it. I did recently get an understanding of managing audio levels. Still working on trying to figure out eliminating background noise and not have it mess with the audio. The next video I tried it certainly isn’t perfect but heck we are getting there. Thanks for understanding and I do appreciate the feedback. We want to make this something people enjoy. So many other things to work on too. Furthermore hope we can find and do things people are actually interested in . Time will tell I guess. Lol.
Woo hoo!!! Keep 'em dry
You got that right!!!
Hi Ed meet you and Jamie this morning(feb 26) at sandspur beach bahia honda. Might run into you again in keylargo. When you are in Montreal reach out to me if you need anything. Im assuming you will be staying in the old port. Im 15 minutes away. Pretty much anything you would need is within walking distance. Even if its only a restaurant suggestion.
It was great meeting you! We are really hoping to make it up there!! We will definitely reach out if we make it up there!
#strappedin
Thanks for Hopping aboard our adventure!!
Hey we are looking at doing the loop. I have a question. Are you planning on going through Lake Champlain? If so what is the height above water of your vessel?
Thanks
Hi Jim. Yes we hope to if the borders open and travel is restored to Canada. We would like to make it to Montreal. Our air draft with our electronics folded down is 17’2”
Hello- we are interested in buying a 2002 48’ sedan bridge as well. Anything we should be aware of when looking at different boats? Any overall feedback on the boat? Thanks for the advice!
Introduction to FU sion center and NSA holes
Hello, I am considering a 480 sedan bridge of the 489 MY for the loop.
Can you tell me if you needed to remove radar/etc to get under the bridges on the Erie or the 19’ bridge for the Canada route ??
Searching for days and can’t find any reliable info, so best info would come by someone who’s actually done it.
It would be a great help to hear your answer.
Thanks,
Mike Sharpe
Please delete the annoying music. You don't need it.
Thanks for the feedback John. We are honing in our video skills we are new to this so hopefully we will get better as time goes on. Thanks for jumping on our channel and following along. We appreciate it!!
