Just installed mine it took 10 minutes. The hardest part was getting that little black washer out the rest was so simple bike runs smooth as butter !! Thanks dirt tricks👍😊
So why did it take you so long to put out a video line this? I don’t remember reading this in the instructions when I installed it, now it’s 3000miles later I can only imagine how much more wear I have now…
@@dirttricksusa7857 it can’t , the issue is in the overhead cams and shaft bearings, but it can definitely fix the too loose problems that make noise. When it’s Too tight it doesn’t make any noise it does it’s damage silently.

So you don’t need to set the bike to TDC or anything before removing the old tensioner?
no
I am new to my Norden 901. Does this affect the performance?
No, It will help the longevity of the engine though.
Do you have a video for the 1290?
Not yet
@LUNDMX is it the same for a ktm 1290 v twin?
I thought the oem uses oil pressure against their "piece of junk" to tension the timing chain?!
Don’t use a screwdriver to remove that slider washer, use circ clip pliers…
Too tight does serious damage as does too loose.
our tensioner fixes both of these issues!

This doesn’t increase pressure. I just has a better ratcheting system then oem.
@@kj385 oh that’s good. I thought yours was a manual tensioner 👍
