- The Winnebago Revel is nearly the perfect vehicle for adventurous couples. But what about a family of three? This video will show how Famagogo (the Holcombe family) took the stock bed and made it much better for full-time family travel in their 4x4 Sprinter adventure van. They have used this setup in 20+ countries as they work toward taking their Revel around the world.

It’s great that you improved upon their original design!
Nice work, Peter! Can’t wait to see v2.0! -Pat
Crazy useful video - I just emailed Winnebago to ask them about something more usable but this is kind of it. Could maybe consider doing something similar with those plastic spring low profile "mattresses." I'd probably use piano hinge instead of cabinet, but yours looks almost stock. Which is nice.
From Brasil its a great idea! Congratulations!
looking forward to seeing your ideas for the 2021 3rd bed
Excellent, thank you.
Thanks so much, Peter! Wondering if you’ve made similar adjustments to your ‘21 Revel? Would love to learn if you’ve customized your new van to sleep three as well :)
Not as viable for your older daughter but we had considered (and certainly don't mind sharing for some of your viewers with younger kids) the CabBunk system from the UK. Their FAQ states their biggest limitation is the width of your cab (roughly 174cm for the average). The system is designed as a sort of hammock if you will, hung on the front seats (with a twin/bunk version even). For us the big draw is not having to dismount car seats or boosters nightly.

Sensacional !
👏👏👏👏👏
That looks great. Do you think an adult or 6 foot teen could sleep on that even if it had to be more like a recliner kind of position?
Hi Peter, thanks for making these super useful videos. We are getting ready to purchase a pre-owned 2021 Revel. Would this mod or similar work given the new placement of the fridge, etc. or is there now a better idea?
Thanks for this great idea. Can you provide the specs for the bed?
2021 3rd bed ideas?
Nice. I never got a bolster with mine. :(
wished you would of shown someone laying on the bed that you created so others can see how it works - thanks
Pete, do you have the dimensions of the boards ?
2022 is coming out. What upgrades to newer model?
Any ideas on adding a second bed to the front of a 2021 Revel?
yep it looks like they eliminated the bed in the 2021?
I'd like to know too.
He will not answer because he is a paid Winnebago employee! Or at least their spokesperson and internet user!
@@gosman949 @canyonadventurevans has a solution
Really like this idea, but bummer won't work for the 2021/22 Revels. They have a fridge on that cabinet side instead of the foldout table.
Hi Christopher, we will send this information over to our team to see if we could make any cool changes to future models. Thanks.
Has the 2021 taken away this function due to the fridge?
No second bed in 2021 model.
Jose Gomez Thanks

Great idea but painfully long video without the needed details for someone to replicate.
Peter, I’m grateful for all the detail in your videos. This one & the one on Roam Rig have been extremely helpful. Looks like I’ll be utilizing both of these options. Thank you again.
The factory design of this two person seat is awful. See other manufacturers’ work, siding forward and backward and sideward, tiling backrest, and ...... transforming into a bed!
