*Used this rod recently on a river hike in NH. It performed beautifully **enjoyable.fishing** recommend as I had hoped it would, on a whole heap of river smallies using tiny torpedoes and tubes.*

Penn reels are pretty decent for the price my son caught a penn fierce two and pole that was sitting in salt water for at least a week look that way anyway and it still works
I already have two Fathom lever drag for trolling and a Slammer 4000 for spinning, next will be these baitcasting reels, Fathom and Squall, for vertical fishing. Penn🔝for kayak fishing

I find myself using the cheaper squall more often maybe it was the Googan rod the squall is on lol 😂
I'm waiting on mine Alex imma pair it with the IROD Kaimana costal rod swc764, I had the rod before with 13 fishing origin tx and on my second time taking out my yak I lost my combo learned to tie stuff..

Sorry but the Slx doesn’t compare line capacity and drag not even close build quality also goes to penn I would rather have quantum accurist than slx and I’m not a Shimano hater
