My husband was there in May of 1988 just turned 19. He now has Primary Myelofibrosis which is a Rare Blood Cancer or Chronic form of Leukemia. Which can progress to full blown Leukemia. They are still covering up!! There is no way it's was cleaned up on Dec. 30 1987. They have a Vapor Intrusion Study coming out in Aug. of 2024. Bet it will be after the law suite cut off date. All he needs is to be rated, he's having problems working to keep a roof over our heads. So sorry for everyone's pain. And the cover ups need to stop with them!!

Time to file is running out, you're correct. However, be aware that the government hasn't even made a decision as to whether or not, they will accept a claim for payment until November of 2024. Please do file but, be extremely patient.

Funny as to why Washington DC is claiming that probably settlement lump sum payments might start on November 2024 ? November 2024 is the Presidential Election times. And the PACT Act or the Camp Lejeune Justice Act...Etc laws that the Democrats came out with are worthless because the VA is still denying "Presumtive" claims. Unbelievable.

I filed more than 2 years ago. To this date my law firm has received absolutely no response from the D.O.J nor the Dept. of the Navy. I was diagnosed by the VA. I am receiving treatment through the VA. A VA physician even added into my file: "It is the professional opinion of this physician that this patient's cancer is presumed to be due to the Camp LeJeune Water Contamination" The D.O.J. and Dept. of the Navy have received this information from the law firm I have filed with and the D.O.J. and Dept. of the Navy STILL HAVE FAILED TO RESPOND.

I was told by the VA Wednesday March 6th, 2024, that I wouldn't be able to file a claim on my father's behalf because he had already passed away. He passed away from Nonhodgekins-lymphoma in August 2020.

If you mother is still alive and they were married until his passing, that is not at all true! What you'll require is a copy of their marriage certificate, a certified copy of his DD-214 (Military Discharge Papers) which should have on them, dates of service, the time frame he was at Camp LeJeune, copies of his medical records from the VA or private physician with his diagnosis. And if possible, on said documents a doctor's professional statement that it is provable that this patient's cancer was caused by the Contaminated Water at Camp LeJeune. Now, please understand that this by no means, means a settlement will ever be reached. This present government to include the Dept. of Justice and the Dept. of the Navy are doing everything they can to ignore this betrayal to our Marines and their families that so selflessly sacrificed for every citizen of the United States. The right thing especially after this government had actually admitted to knowingly and willingly allowing this to occur from1953 to 1985 would be to MAKE WHOLE ever Marine and or family member stationed there during that time frame that has suffered and or passed away due to this government's negligence. I am not an attorney; I am simply another Marine now with cancer due to this betrayal that is trying to assist you in seeking justice for what our government has done. I urge you to contact the MEDIA about your situation. Until such time as it is brought to the attention of the people of this country what our government openly admitted to doing to its Marines, absolutely nothing will ever be done to MAKE WHOLE those so negatively affected by it. Contact the MEDIA. local, state and National. Urge every member of your family, friends and their friends', people you meet on the street, everyone and anyone you can to contact the MEDIA and demand a story be done regarding this. Do so immediately, please!

It's a fvcking shame that the lawyers are taking 50 percent, that is, when and if you "Win" your case.
Did the same crap with the gulf ware victims, would not admit to anything, finally admit gulf war syndrome did exist, but uou had to file within 10 years, when all of us who were denied have neen out for st least 15 years.
As a retired disabled Marine who was forced in to a medical retirement due do conditions recieved grom the gulf war, i have realized, the thanks of a greatful nation are not that great.
I am sure i will die before the pay anything to any Marine, so i will not leave s POS lawyer 50 percent if they do ever pay up!!!!

2:11 FIRST time I've heard that.... What does it matter how you were discharged, or if you were a reserve or not?? If you were there and POISONED -when the government KNEW that there were contaminants ... you should be able to seek justice for wrongful death or suffering with life-altering diseases !!!!
