Hi Frank, I look forward to your next video where you create an end to end course in Ispring. Can you incorporate some examples how to use it for math, K9 - 12? especially the interactions to engage teenagers? I'm searching for creative ways to gamify Math courses
Great content and presentation however, the background music is distracting and unnecessary. I was taught in my master's in educational technology classes not to use online elements that do not contribute to the transfer of knowledge. Intro and outro music is great because it sets up an ambience. During instruction music is a distraction. Imagine playing music in an in-person classroom while giving a lecture. Your content and explanations are very helpful.
Yes - I'm using background music a little less often these days. To be honest, this entire UA-cam channel is a bit of an experiment - so I'm just trying new things and looking to improve 1% video over video :) Thank you for the feedback - I totally agree with you.
@@LearningandTechnology Frank, you are doing quite well and I hope my comment is taken as a positive thing. Like you, I am in the process of moving from years of classroom experience to doing audio podcasts and intend to up my game and add video. So, I fully understand the experiment idea as that is how we all start. I am totally comfortable in a physical classroom, am getting better at audio podcasting and look forward to video. I have a pretty well established audio recording studio at home right now. Am figuring out the video stuff. Frank, you have a great video presence and I look forward to watching your channel grow. We can learn from each other. I just subscribed. Norm
Hi Frank I have a Mac question which I can't seem to get any help with. I want to run 4x VM's & my main OS at the same time to run trading bots on horse racing. Split second timing is essential so there cannot be any delay (unsure if VM's create a delay). I have excellent fibre broadband so no issues there. Each VM would run for 5 hours per day so would hardware be the best solution to run the VM's or would I be better running them via a cloud based service? Hardware wise I'm currently running the M1 Mac mini 8gb but thinking of upgrading to the new 2023 Mac Studio M2 Max with 12‑core CPU, 30‑core GPU, 16‑core Neural Engine, 64GB unified memory, 512GB SSD. If hardware is the better option would 4x Windows 11 based VM's via UTM4 simultaneously each running trading bots in real time on the Mac Studio be the better option or can you advise otherwise? Great channel and thank you.
Running any type of VM will take a bit of a performance hit - so it would require some testing. For Cloud services, you can scale VMs and the Data Centers do have quite fast Internet connections. However, with such a specialized use-case, it would be wise to maybe do some testing to see if the performance meets your needs. You can get Azure credit for testing - so that might be a place to start. If you go the Mac Mini route - you will definitely want plenty of RAM for running 4 VMs concurrently. I have an M1 Mac Mini with 16GB of RAM and run a single Parallels VM (I have a video on this) with 8GB of RAM dedicated to it. In my case, I notice absolutely no difference in the performance of the VM in the way it runs Windows 11. However, I also haven’t tested it for split-second timing such as trading or gaming.

That sounds like a good idea!
