That great metaphysical slab floating in outer space is revealed to be chocolate when "2001: A Space Odyssey" appears in "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory"
I was mind blown I was watching an Easter egg compilation and it it referenced the 2001: Space Odyssey and the guy showing the Easter eggs showed a clip from the movie with apes going crazy over the Slab of rock and instantly it reminded me of this scene from Willy Wonka and I went "What the literal fuck?"
A similar thing happened to me, today I was watching 2001: Space Odyssey and saw the monolith scene, it reminded me of a chocolate bar in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory and here I am!
I wonder what happens if you don't take it. Does it replace the monolith in the rest of the film?
I saw this before 2001, so seeing that black Monolith not change threw me

Same here. There is a reference in SpongeBob SquarePants as well in the caveman episode 😀
I never understood this part as a kid lmao
God. That flat square was a chocolate bar? So it is the secret of 2001: A space odyssey
Mike Teavee hates chocolate, that's why he believes that Wonka bar was a picture on screen!
Next they should send a Wonka Bar into an episode of Gravity Falls. That would be cool.
So Charlie took the choclate bar, and that bar was taken to the moon, where it was burried.
So that's the way how the monolith came to the moon.
Deliberately buried.
