I could be wrong here, but I was under the impression that it was Cooper that was turned inside out by Johnstone? Maybe someone can clarify, 'cos like I said, I could be wrong.
Between 65 and 75 they had so many great players it beggars belief. Yeah, little Billy was writers player of the year in 70, but people forget big Jack was in 67 and Norman Hunter was first PFA player of the year in 74. So, were those two not very good footballers and cloggers? Something doesn't match up. yours truly an old Birmingham fan
It's true. At the time when Reaney got his three England caps, many people were embarassed by the idea of "mixed race". Perhaps Alf Ramsey thought of him as an "honorary white man", and journalists thought it best to not even mention the subject. All nonsense, of course.
Unsung hero.
Not a bad full back, who had pace and did the right thing at the right time.
This could have been interesting but sorry, a 30 sec intro for a 1:18min video is too much
That Leeds team got mo credit for their play from a very biased media. Sure they were tough, but they could play. Good luck leeds'

Probably the only full back who consistently got the better of George Best.
Even Best admitted how good he was. High praise.
Even the legendary George Best admitted in his biography that Reaney usually had the better of him.
