Saoirse seems very disengaged in this interview compared to several others I have recently watched. I recently watched her interview with David from a few years ago for her movie How I Live Now and she seemed much more excited to be there. Maybe it has to do with the tandem interview
I think the feeling of her being less engaged during this interview is because: 1. It's not a 1-on-1 like her other interviews with David, but also with John involved, which is wonderful in a way as his perspective about the film is rather meaningful. Nevertheless, because John was there and made his remarks, you can tell that Saoirse was really thinking about what he and David were discussing. Rather hard to be on the active front when you are deep in thought, or that she didn't want to be interrupting the flow of their conversation, as John likewise didn't when she was discussing with David. 2. As mentioned in the interview, Saoirse was really affected on a deep level during the filming process of this particular movie, so talking about it would probably not come as easily as when it comes to other films she did.

Saoirse seems like a really lovely woman and is a damn good actor too. Fingers crossed that 'Brooklyn' gets her some deserved Oscar love.
