Shark, I have a couple tips for you to make things a little bit easier.
1. You can do the UV’s for the faces 1 by 1 by going into face selection mode and UV editing the one face.
2. You don’t need to save the texture twice as a “mapped” texture. The mapping is saved in the model.

Yo shark ive got a little tipp on how you can make a frame w u adding another cube! Click on the side where the frane should be and press ctrl + i to inset it then just press ctrl + E to extrude it! It much easier at that point and is better in soem way also if it looks the same
