This ultra elegant Cloud lll is a star all on it's own but it also has a very glamorous Hollywood history. It can do some serious name dropping, more on that in a minute. Only 1,072 left hand drive Cloud llls were made in total. It is estimated that only 200 Cloud IIIs had rear a/c making this extremely rare and desirable. This car lived in southern California and has 62,654 actual miles. This car has been in our Cars of the Rich & Famous exhibit since 2011. We recently spent $4,000 servicing the car, the a/c even works! It runs as quiet as a mouse in slippers and rides like you are on a cloud!
It's star power: Aaron Spelling gifted this car to the highest paid, most recognized designer in Hollywood throughout the 80s, Nolan Miller. He chauffeured his celebrity friends such as Spelling, Sophia Loren, Joan Collins, Linda Evans, Lana Turner and Joan Crawford. Many times it was at red carpet events and award ceremonies (he was nominated 4 times for an Emmy). He owned the car 30 years, until 2010, and kept it maintained by a specialized shop.
EXTERIOR: The appearance of this car is a statement of elegance, class, and wealth. The Cloud lll was distinguishable by it's quad headlights. The body is in excellent shape. It is straight and has no rust or damage. Painted a glass finish black with only minor flaws you would have to look for. Overall, the chrome, trim, and glass are very good. The iconic grill and Lady of Ectasy ornament look amazing. Radial wide white wall tires add to it's tuxedo red carpet looks.
INTERIOR: Extremely rare front and rear air conditioning systems. Very well-kept original interior. The original Connolly leather is in excellent shape. Burlwood trim cut from the same tree is very good. In back it has dual folding picnic tables to set your Gray Poupon on. The original dash, knobs, gauges look great. The carpet is in excellent shape and is covered in lambs wool overlays. The back seat is especially comfortable, I didn't want to get out!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Original 6.2 litre V-8 produces an adequate 225 hp. It runs smooth. Overall good condition, maintained as needed. The a/c compressor was replaced and is functional.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very good original condition. The light works. It has original carpeted floor. Under the floor is the spare, jack and tools.
UNDERSIDE: It looks to be very clean and orderly. The front end components are clean. We just spent about $3,500 on the brake system. The single exhaust has 3 mufflers keeping it quiet. L Looking up at the motor it actually looks spotless also the transmission Rolls-Royce used the GM 4-speed automatic hydramatic and then they tweaked them for use in their cars
SERVICE: We recently inspected and test drove the car. We extensively serviced the brakes and worked on the fuel system.
CONCLUSION: This is a low mile, well maintained Cloud lll with a great history. Make going to dinner and parties your own red carpet events, it will make you feel like a big shot!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.

Let us know if you have any questions or feedback. Thanks for watching!
Certainly a lovely car.
Enjoyed it.
I personally feel rolls royces from this era are visually the most beautiful looking cars ever made
Thank you very much Jay for taking us along in that beautiful Rolls Royce. That was a treat.
Love how you did the grey poupon commercial. Jay.... I knew that was coming when I saw the window opening... Too funny.....lol
A time when there was beauty and grace built into automobiles. Today's Rolls looks like a tactical defense machine.
Probably actually are defense mechanisms built into new ones! 🤪
I had a ride in one of these as a youngster around 1978,it was so enjoyable and smooth all you could hear was the clock ticking,a few years later id go for an interview at Rolls Royce in Willesden, london, thank's for another super upload. Best wishes to youself, family, friend's and fellow followers.
Very few cars in the world can draw as much attention as an old Rolls.
Loved the Grey Poupon reference at the beginning!!😂😂🤣🤣
Beautiful piece of history Jay, thanks for the ride!
I love cars, but I really love vintage cars with history. This is a beauty. ❤❤❤
Have a Rav 4. The noise and lack of power going up a mountain really makes me appreciate this car. Just finished a 3700 mile road trip. Brutal going to Flagstaff.
Magnificent automobile! ❤
Absolutely gorgeous! And not a sound inside the cabin!
So many Silver Clouds were trashed over the years, it's nice to see a true survivor not restored to the umteenth degree. This is definately a "preservation class" car which are becoming more and more popular.
what do you mean by trashed?
@@varsityeagle89 been abused.
First time I see a Silver Cloud with rear A/C. SC3 is my favorite of the series and this one is exceptional. Prestigious provenance a nice bonus too. Great collector's motorcar.
I love the Shadow, but this final body on frame Cloud just looks like the classic rolls that everyone thinks of when you say Rolls!
日本人の私から言わせてもらうなら、本物のロールスロイスとはまさにこの車のこと❕
ドイツ製のBMW製のロールスはロールスじゃない。
私の憧れるイギリス🇬🇧が全て揃った美しい車です。
Beautiful car. Gorgeous saying by Leno. Well done.
We agree!
Thanks.....you made me chuckle.
If it’s got a chip 🍟 then l’m not buying it. 😂 absolutely stunning beautiful example of British craftsmanship 🇬🇧.
Beautiful car. Thanks for the video.
We love the beautiful car...
When a Rolls was really a Rolls. Rolls today are not nearly as stately.
Very nice car is one of the best car ever 💗💗💗💗💗
I’ll give it the Americans they really know how to keep a vehicle totally pristine 👍🏻🙏🏻👏🏻🇺🇸
Beautiful design
Thank you! Cheers!
Quad headlights work great for the more modern Silver Shadow that FOLLOWED this model. The Silver Cloud I and II, with their non-quad headlights, look much better in the front.
A fine tour sir, nice technique moving your hands over it.
Beautiful car
Gorgeous Rolls !
Still toujours très très chic
Best car ever made when craftsmanship was taken with pride at a time when to work for Rolls Royce your father had to work there
I love the intro..the Grey Poupon advert 😂😂😂
This is a classic beautiful 😍
Handsomest car ever made.
So smooth and good to drive
Very elegant - these essence of Rolls-Royce
What a beautifully kept vintage Rolls Royce.. Spelling treated it very well.. (Was there another owner before the Volo Auto Museum got it ?
I hope whoever buys it treats it with the respect and dignity it deserves.. Maybe Jay Leno will buy it and give it a good home..
Buying it is not an issue for me but hiring a chauffeur to drive me around in the long run is something I can't afford.😅
Pura belleza !!!!😊😊😊😊
Impressive Automobile!
Nice survivor but not without its faults, not the least of which is that it is $40K over-priced. (The celebrity provenance adds some conversational value, however it does not translate into dollar value.).
As with any classic, have a thorough PPI completed prior. Ronny’s Garage is SoCal is the best shop for these cars.
Aaron Knew How To Spell Elegant Different and Unique 😮
Many many congratulations.
I loved watching this video great good work.
I think even if it was sellable in 2023 I should have removed the front two lights.
Thankyou also it was lovely meeting you. Sorry about the place.
Absolutely beautiful
BEAUTIFUL ROLL❤
Nolan Miller was discovered by Barbara Stanwyck and was one of his closest friends. Miller made all of her clothes.
Gorgeous i was born in 65 😊

-- la Silver Cloud 3 est bien ma berline de rêve, --
True love ❤❤❤
it's funny that you misspelled Arron (Aaron) on the rear tag with the last name of Spelling 😆
Wow: that car seems to have had a lot of TLC. I'd leave the few blemishes as they are. Elegance in extremis.
It's been said that when Rolls Royce started using hydromatic, when they took it apart and cleaned it up to look like what they wanted, it didn't work. They then installed them as they had been received and they worked fine!
Nice story. Do you have a source for it?
@@htimsid I remember reading that story many years ago in the early 50's ...I think it was in the Reader's Digest.
@@george40nelson4 The early 50's..... ???? wow I didn't know they were using the GM transmissions that early
Nice wow
Had me laughing was like it is loud in the car. Had the window down. Definitely would remove stickers. You didn't show above the table what the compartment was in the back. We had a Cadillac that had that antenna and loved it. Great selling feature the brakes and ac new. The old tires sound scary but look really great. And also can update the radio since already done. Well enjoy the car.
Bruce Waynes favorite rools royce, from the batcave 🦇, gourgeus car luxiry, 1 class english luxiry car 🤟 love it 😎 thanks Jay grams president of volo auto museum and russel for perfect photografy from tom your friend now and always say hello to All at volo cars museum and have a wonderfull Day 🤩 🤩
Luxury cars for luxury cars , Bentley is my favorite .
Beautiful but the Spelling connection is overdone by putting stickers on the actual car - they spoil the look.
Very nice Jay ... I'm sure this one won't last long...
The last of the Rollers before Britain's manufacturing fell apart in the civil war between Labor and Capital of the 1960's and 1970's when it was still owned by Vickers I believe and all of Britain's manufacturing disintegrated or was sold off, which includes Rolls and Bentley.
Beautiful car.
The steering wheel is off.
ROFLMAO Next trick in used car saler's arsenal: "This car was once looked at by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Real star dust". :-)))))))))))))))))))))))))
The Leather hides were bought from Sweden, because they don't use barbed wire on their fencing!
A wonderful relic of a bygone era. Only downside is that this is the kind of car where you would need a chauffer. If you own a RR Silver Cloud, you either ride in the back or get instantly marked out as a poser.
That leaf spring inner U-bolt on the passenger side looks f'd up.
Monthly price option? You’re telling us that people need credit terms? If you have to ask the price of a Rolls Royce then you clearly can’t afford it.
SWEET DREAM WITH MORE MORE MORE 💰 !!!!!!!!!
Maybe a new cable for the speedometer might keep it from bouncing up and down, you made it so attractive and beautiful, why not repaint the air filter manifold?
He wants 99k, I would do 65k, with the info to replace those 15yr tires and any extra parts supply info they have collected.
If i didn't know better i would think that the convenient shelf above the ashtray is a rolling tray .
Magnificent
Why is Aaron Spelling's name misspelled on the door and license plate?
Joan Crawford died in 1977. How could Nolan Miller "chauffeur her" if he was gifted this car in 1980? Did Spelling, himself, own this car before 1980? I understand the Burke's Law (Gene Barry) 1960 Silver Cloud 2 is still "out there?"
Thought the same thing
You Are missing the gaiters on the rear leaf springs! For such an expensive Cloud 3, one would imagine new gaiters are put on!😕
Good eye
I never really cared who owned things prior to me. To me it is irrelevant and adds no additional value. I think this car holds up on its own merits.
I must finish my wedding Decumant , please . 2:25
Wonder how you would describe a relative ?🎉
Nice old roller
PS i love the testdriving, i have driven a Austin Princess 4ltr rools royce engine vanden plas 1964 model, like a rools royce, with All the trimmlngs, i Was like beeing on a cloud
Right...I always wanted to finance a Rolls Royce.😅😂
Heres your chance! 🙃
I have to wonder if Tori Spelling was conceived in that back seat?
the only way i would own one of these big rolling boats is after it received a full ICON rebuild.
License plate on the back has Mr. Spelling’s name misspelled! It should be AARON. How ironic is that?!?
Not just on the back either. On the passenger side and on the front windscreen it's also not correct. Personally the fact he bought it originally means nothing to me and I would suggest having the name on the car so boldly detracts from the elegance and class. Not because of the subject but because the letters are so jarring.
Also funny that his name is spelling
To mention Hollywood and Rolls Royce in the same sentence is degrading of RR.

No headroom ??? Com'on ...
Y el precio????
What is "grey poupon"?
Mustard
Where do I get parts and service.
Volvo silver shadow 🤣👍
Put the price of the car in the video.
A motor car that one just knows no vulgar Kardashian sort would purchase; too erudite and non bling for that type.
In the woke world of today you can't give these away. No one wants what they represent or stand for. Some will see you drive by and follow you home to rob you. If at a stop light/sign or fuel station may outright attack or damage the car. Currently i've been seeing hundreds of RR's for sale on YT. All thinking someone will still pay half a mill for a car requiring $70K for a typical servicing. I'd say just put it in a museum but even the museum's are trying to get rid of them. These days are gone.
We sold ours fairly quickly so...
Complete work of fiction.
If a Rolls-Royce is not built like 1998 back, they are a overpriced BMW where the only original RR parts are the original brass heavy nickel plated air conditioning outlets. RIP RR 1904-1998. I am adding 4 more to my collection over the next two weeks. One still is almost all RR as built in the original Factory in Crewe until all builders quit after BMW took over. Bentley is still built there, but basically a big overpriced VW. One RR I am purchasing is a RR 2001 RR Corniche V owned by a Middle East Emir. It is the last to be RR with a 6.75 RR engine versus the interior BMW engine.
And yet not a single picture or video of even one of them on your channel.
It looks like a Grey Poupon car
