@@allopez8563Pretty much a 1:1 copy. Daemon & Aemond were both dealt a shitty hand at a very high stakes table. So they grew up in the shadow of their brothers, despite being more powerful and wise. Thus they’re bitter for not getting the respect & recognition they feel they’ve earned.
They both play up their tough-guy act because that at least gives them some relevancy, rather than becoming footnotes in history, and worse - ignored by their beloved family members.

That one came straight from the book. George is a great writer but it seems he is no good at finishing a story just continuous world building and introducing more characters.

@@happybee7725 the bigger risk is that he will be dead, even if winds of winter gets released, if he takes even half as long to do a dream of spring then this series will not be finished - which means it’s very likely the series will not be finished as George has already said he does not want someone else finishing the series if he dies before it is finished, he really likes world building but doesn’t like planning which makes ending a story almost impossible as it requires shrinking your story down so that you can tie off loose ends and have a final resolution

@@schemeteam2954 Daemon is amazing. I do think Aemond's overall look and swagger is pretty badass. Aemond overall didn't seem like a bad guy, he could have easily hurt those kids with how strong he is now but he didn't. And he was clearly upset at the end of the season with what happened.
But obviously now it's war and I can't wait even though honestly the story doesn't sound that fun I just want to see how scenes play out.

I have feeling HOTD is gonna follow the books so seeing the scene of Daemon vs Aemond is gonna be epic. I kinda spoiled myself of the results but they probably will tweak some things in the show.

This scene was so good. These two will be the main adversaries in the next season. The showrunners did an excellent job of showing their first standoff ( however brief it was).

No, he wants to fight but he knows mom won't allow and he'll get a lecture from his dad, so he can't be bothered. There's too many people watching, he can't make the first move bc it would make him in the wrong in the open, that strong comment was made cleverly therefore made it look like the boys started. Aemond is smart, he knows when to attack at the right time, if he started something then it would look bad on him and his mom. If there was no one around then he would start to mess with daemon. Aemond is also a badass. He's just a clever one.

This entire show is filled with cold moments like that. It's a true return to form GoT show with compelling reasons and dialogue for all parties involved. Looking forward to season 2 and praying it stays good.

Every time I watch this clip I keep thinking about how fantastic this scene was. No words were spoken between Aemond and Daemon, yet we were able to understand everything. It was a simple "back off, don't fight battles you cannot win, Aemond". Daemon may not be morally correct, and I don't give a shit about it, but if we talk about protecting his family (even if Jace and Lucerys weren't his own children) he was willing to do anything. At least, that is how I see things.
