    I have tried this method in the last month and it works a treat, quicker, cleaner and less water used. I started window cleaning in 2001 and converted to wfp in 2006, its sometimes easy to just stick with the method you know or the method you have been taught. But honestly try this! It's a game changer

    Have been using this method for the past couple of months, can’t believe how much water it’s saved me…whilst still getting 100% results and no issues! Thanks so much🤝

    I’m with you on the high flow rate, I run mine at 2 litres a minute. Anything less and it struggles to give a good rinse off in my opinion. I also change my filters regularly and I wipe down all the frames and doors at ground level.

    Interesting video. I'm relatively new to window cleaning only been going 3 years. I've seen people miss the top of the frame. I like to make sure everything is cleaned but I've never tried rinsing on the glass I'll have to give it a go.

      Find the stiff brush a good all-rounder, I started using it mainly because I use hot water. I have used it with cold. It is a good general purpose. Brush can be used on Lead as long as you don’t apply a lot of pressure which I never do.
      They tend to last longer to.

    Great vid! When I try this technique, there are loose bits left on the glass, how do you deal with this?

    I saw you scrub the glass but didn't see any rinsing on or off the glass? Are you saying just scrub and go?

      Hi thanks. I just go off type of house no. of beds whether they've got. conservatory or extension third storey etc . What I don't do is go visit first as this is wasted time which I would then want to charge for and I'm too busy anyway. If it is a big house I always check on 3d maps and google earth (here you can usually measure the length of the gutters with the measure tool), I don't want to turn up and it be way off price.

    Nice video.... me personally i would use a softer bristled brush ( gardiner Sill brush - Black ) gets in / around / underneath more effectively..... above all as a window cleaner i really think having the right personality is very important..... If customers like you you can get away with a lot less critisism and main thing is is that customer is happy....It is great that you have enthusiasm , are enjoying your job , the freedom ,,,,, all the best

    • @pkcleaning-windowcleaningm4377
      @pkcleaning-windowcleaningm4377 Рік тому

      Thanks. Yes I used to use one of those. But now I use the hot water. I need to use the stiff Bristles This allows me to get a brilliant clean and with a little brush and get the job done quicker.

    • @longlivefreedom9853
      @longlivefreedom9853 Рік тому

      that is brilliant ,,, what temp is the hot water..... in terms of energy saving what would you say ? 50 % less scrubbing ? I measure success in energy savings not time savings..... If you are saving energy on a job and getting away with it it means you are moving forward.

      its a good idea if you can, most of us are limited by the narrow bore of our hoses and obviously you'd have to carry tons of water around

    What about hydrophobic glass?

    • @glintwindowcleaning1751
      @glintwindowcleaning1751 4 місяці тому +1

      I'm gonna pop in here to answer.... I personally ALWAYS rinse on the glass when it's hydrophobic. With hydrophobic glass, the battle is the water beading up too quickly, rather than staying in a sheet and allowing the dirt to flow away. This can be overcome with higher flow and/or fan jets, BUT it can also be overcome by simply getting closer. The bristles also help to vary the surface tension of the water enough to keep it in a sheet for longer. Simply rinse from the top down as if you were squeegeeing the water off. Of course, nylon bristles only! Boar hair hangs on to the dirt too much and will ruin everything.

    • @pkcleaning-windowcleaningm4377
      @pkcleaning-windowcleaningm4377 4 місяці тому

      Personally, I never worry about whether glass is hydrophobic or hydrophilic. Yes on hydrophilic glass water flows off in a nice distinct flow, but it makes no odds as long as you’re rinsing the glass.
