His jokes aren't even controversial. He's jsut someone these idiots would love to hate tbh. Some people prefer others to be humble and to acknoledge their existence that "we made you and we can take it away". When they realize it's not leaving a dent and they don't have such power they try recruiting for cancelling. Well in this case it's definitely not about fame or how huge he is. It's about "political alliance". In America there are more "Republicans" (Trump supporters) than "Democrats" (Biden supporters). And Trevor Noah chose to support the minority side (Biden's side) which is why he has a lot of hate! His political views often attack the Trump side and defend the Biden side.
Plus his joke are funny to me and I think he's very talented, but some people think otherwise. Especially the Trump supporters. There're even South Africans who think Trevor is NOT funny, but I didn't include that in the video. 🙂👍🏽

From what I got from this video, people had issues with him first because he essentially told jokes like a Gen Xer, with almost no filter. Then they had issues with him being the one replacing Jon Stewart cuz they felt he didn't deserve it, then they had issues because he was telling the jokes he was telling and taking the sides he was taking despite not being an American, and then he takes sides with the left and progressives and the right hate that. That he was black and articulate and not American made it even easier to hate him. They keep saying he's not funny, I don't see what they're seeing frankly cuz I think he's hilarious. I watched his 'documentary' when he was trying to do his one-man comedy show in SA, the first one. A few SA comedians (white) thought he was doing too much (me putting it nicely) like he had no right to try to do it on his own. As a Caribbean person, I have enjoyed his comedy since then. Something Americans need to understand is that Trevor noah has always made jokes from his personal opinion and was never really a type of comedian that joked about relatable stuff being relatable is normally what comedians are. I'd think noah is one of those adopted xhosa surnames together with others like grootboom... Hence, I understand why the person in the video would even think that noah is Trevor's paternal surname.
