+Michelle Rodrigues , here is the entire list of PnC videos for free: dontmemorise.com/course/view.php?id=92 It may not have a specific problem you are talking about, but it covers a wide range of types. It'll definitely help :)
Why did you divide all different possibilities by the number of letters that appear more than once? Shouldn't it be 6!, as the question implies that it is permutation?
Here we could take like that, but this question is slightly different, as it asks us to consider vowels as a single element. This particular type of condition wasn't there in those previous cases. That why here group of vowels are taken as a single element. I think otherwise it could be 8!/2!×2!
Finally, I got it and changed my mind. The answer is (6!/2!) * (3!/2!). Explanation: Consider all 3 vowels as one letter ( $ ). So we have 6 letters ( FTBLL$ ). How many ways we can rearrange it? answer: 6!/2! Now, the vowels are not 1 letter. There are 3 letters (OOA) and we can rearrange them in (3!/2!) 3 ways. OOA, OAO, AOO. Finally, for each of (6!//2!) ways, we can arrange them 3 more ways. Like: F$TBLL would be (FOOATBLL, FOAOTBLL, FAOOTBLL). And finally the result: (6!/2!) * (3!/2!).
In the last part of the video,(3!/2!)=3 should imply 3 possibilities and not 2. FTBLLOAO,FTBLLAOO(only these 2 are mentioned),but I think there should be FTBLLOOA also.
I really appreciate the effort you have put to make these videos so animated and precise which doesnt make us feel sleepy.I really look forward to more such videos.
cant ooa be placed at different positions u only assumed them to be the last 3 letters but they can also be placed together at the start or the middle?
Yeah , that is correct. And we have already assumed that case. You see in the first part the letters OOA are considered as one element and that is why we get 6! It's like assume it as numbers 1,2,3,4,4,5 for F,T,B,L,L,(OOA) respectively. There will be 6!/2! ways to arrange it. This includes the possibilities of 1,5,2,3,4,4 1,3,5,2,4,4 or in simplified version F,(O,O,A),T,B,L,L or F,B,(O,O,A),T,L,L

yeah!! am I right ?? :) :(
5! When the first and last letters are fixed, we would essentially be permuting FOOTBA and since OO is repeated that is 5!
The vowels can be next to any letter so ont we multiply our final answer with 6!

+Abhay Vardhan , thank you :)
Hey bro you got thumbnail from google
Why should we use mutplication we can use addition
vowels together dosen't mean at the end.
The factorial on 6 makes it so that all possible ways can be arranged
Wowels
When selecting out of 10 boys we used 10!. Similarly for MOOC We used 4!. Then why not 8! here. A bit confused on that.
Here we could take like that, but this question is slightly different, as it asks us to consider vowels as a single element. This particular type of condition wasn't there in those previous cases. That why here group of vowels are taken as a single element.
I think otherwise it could be 8!/2!×2!
0:55 what does she said? Wowel?
"she said?" what are you typing?
she said it right!
Let's not make fun of people's accents when you can't even correctly form a simple sentence, bud
In this sum of football. Why can't we see it as :
FTBLL : 5!/2!
OOA : 3!/2!
I agree with you.
Finally, I got it and changed my mind. The answer is (6!/2!) * (3!/2!).
Explanation:
Consider all 3 vowels as one letter ( $ ).
And finally the result: (6!/2!) * (3!/2!).
maam but it can be also ooaftbll so how we can consider this answer
I dont think I will memorise maths again🎉😊
In the last part of the video,(3!/2!)=3 should imply 3 possibilities and not 2. FTBLLOAO,FTBLLAOO(only these 2 are mentioned),but I think there should be FTBLLOOA also.
I really appreciate the effort you have put to make these videos so animated and precise which doesnt make us feel sleepy.I really look forward to more such videos.
What if there is no repetition in letters in the same question
What is the solution for no of ways can the letters FOOTBALL be arranged if atleast two vowels should be together? Please solve and let me know.
Thanks in advance.
_MOOC_
What if only two vowels are reapted in this case
cant ooa be placed at different positions u only assumed them to be the last 3 letters but they can also be placed together at the start or the middle?
Yeah , that is correct.
And we have already assumed that case. You see in the first part the letters OOA are considered as one element and that is why we get 6! It's like assume it as numbers 1,2,3,4,4,5 for F,T,B,L,L,(OOA) respectively.
There will be 6!/2! ways to arrange it.
This includes the possibilities of
1,5,2,3,4,4
1,3,5,2,4,4 or in simplified version F,(O,O,A),T,B,L,L
or F,B,(O,O,A),T,L,L
But mam, FTBLOOAL IS DIFFERENT FROM FTBLLOOA
you re saying do you remember anagrams problems we did ,where is this video tutorial please ?
it was not a good explaination. you should have explained the multiset permutation.
What does CAT means in video name
Am I the only one who could not fine anagram video
