Yakisugi Method for raised bed gardens

In phase one of establishing our garden space on our new homestead, the land has been cleared but due to poor, native soil quality, we opted to created wooden raised beds. To extend the life of these bed we will burn the wood before constructing the beds. In this first year, these 12 beds plus the existing garden space give use 1/10th of an acre to grow veggies.
