    I've known the basic sweep for a while but your instructions really take it to the next level. I especially love how you not just explain one technique but also the details and variations that one needs to know in order to pull it off. Thanks a lot!

      Thank you! I love basics but there are already a lot of basic moves out there. I try to show what makes me unique. I have a very diverse repertoire. Keep training and watching!

    i have now been using this for over a year since seeing this video. catching very skilled players, but generally taking it to a saddle position for heel hooks. recently added some shin whizzer variations to catch my rolling partners who are familiar with my use of this sweep. neil melanson and knight juijitsu show some nice options. cheers coach for this and many other techniques

    Brian is a total badass!! This was a great old school coach Brian video (5 years old) haha. I see the gym sure has changed a lot.

    Love the new format!
    It's so important to emphasize how you are using his pressure to make this technique happen. If he doesn't smash down on you, you jump up for the seatbelt.

    This looks so ridiculously funny that makes it epic! Sends the opponent back to rookie class. I'm gonna work on this one for sure! Thnx for the videos man!

      +ovo nisamja I tried this today, and it actually works. The problem for me is that I'm training with some sneaky dudes who always outsmart me so I can't execute half of the things I planed to. But if I practise a bit, I think this could stay on my menu! Great stuff!

    Brian Peterson is one of the best grappling couches in the USA(Maybe the world). I know because I have traveled to multiple places and have trained with elite grapplers.
    BTW Brian, for the longest time I thought I was subscribed to your channel.

      If you use proper leg work with your lifting hook and you control their arm well, it should work. If they pop back up or land with their hips corrected, sometimes I flow into guillotines, guillotine sweeps, and omoplatas. Hope this helps!

    Pinning the technique on an armpit grab of a bigger aggressive opponent and hoping you can pull him over just isn't viable in my Grappling world. I'm not dissing as some of ur other vids are V.g.👍...

    • @TeachMeGrappling
      @TeachMeGrappling  8 років тому

      Everything requires development of skills, strength, speed, and timing. The more you train, the more things you can pull off. Good luck with training and thank you!
