I'm so glad you returned to Delicious in Dungeon and liked it way more this time around. I just recently binged the entire series and it's become one of my favorite manga I've ever read. Ryoko Kui's ability to world build and write characters is some of my personal favorite. The way the story and themes evolve without losing it's heart is crazy too. Hopefully we get to hear more of your opinions on it further down the line 💕
I just finished volume 4 today and I’m really loving the world/dungeon-building work that’s happening right now, it adds a whole new layer to the story that’s really intriguing. And the fight with the red dragon was intense and took a turn I wasn’t expecting. Maybe I will end up enjoying it enough to collect it in the future.
I like this format a lot! I kind of know what you mean about YKK. I still need to read volume 4 but it got a bit more of a slog to read through and I had to take a step back and just read 20 pages or so at a time 😅 I can't deny it's certainly charming and I love the art.
I think I’m also just not very good at reading slower-paced things. I always want to read a volume in one sitting and that’s not always the best strategy for every series. But yes, the color pages especially are quite beautiful, I really appreciate them in these volumes.
@tonireadsmanga Yes, I'm a sucker for such, but whether I will keep this after reading will be the same for me too. Maybe you can take the hit on volume 5 for me and let me know 😂
Nice reading log! It's always nice to hear your thoughts because it seems a lot of the stuff you read/enjoy I also do as well 🙂 I've also taken a break from SOL series atm because most of the time I find them kind of boring but the one or two here or there that I've enjoyed keeps giving me hope 😭
I used to think that I could enjoy pretty much any genre but the more I read the more I’m realizing that’s not really the case 😔 Or maybe I’m just becoming more picky lol
