Great video as always fellas. I'll throw a wacky skirt on the wacky rig sometimes if those fish need to see something different when they are around beds
Tyler i was out at my backyard pond this morning, the big bass are all up shallow on beds it seems, i am new to bass fishing so im not sure. But i was experinceing what ur talking abt, i could see them with excellent visibility and throwing my drop shot right in front of them, the one bass put half the lure in his mouth and spit it out, they just arnt intrested, def want something specific. The one i actually did get hooked but came off on the side of the bank and then wasnt intrested again, did catch some smaller ones on a chatterbait but i beleive its because there not tired from spawn like u said. But this big ones dont want none its crazy
As a serious lure junkie, I'm always looking for different, unorthodox type baits...1 I've had success with...Lunkerhunt Spider....subtle, different & got some pretty violent strikes when they wouldn't touch a frog....My go to past couple years..soft jerkbait...6-7" Googan Dart has really been effective...9" White Slug-go produced likely my PB & if i was paying attention, could have set the hook...the mouth on that bass was incredible! Rat wakes can get some action, too...not many throwing them...Geecrack baits are pretty cool...ordered some over the winter. 👍
It’s juuuust creepin into the 60s 70s here in Wyoming still drops down to 40-30 at night. It’s mostly smallies in my lake. Is it about the same concept when it’s comes to lures, going a bit slower, etc.
I was just wrecking them in a local pond with a keitech 4.8 on a VMC flashy swimmer two days ago. There was a little wind on the water and it was the perfect conditions for that bait.
Great video as always. I'm a 40yr old who just picked up fishing last year. I fish a very open lake here in Michigan off my boat (Lake St Clair). Do you have any videos on open lake fishing where this is no cover. I don't have a bass boat or trolling motor so I can't get into a lot of places. Also oddly I cast against the wind always because I let the underwater current take my line and I bottom bounce tubes mostly. I don't even know if that makes sense but I find casting with the wind creates a ton of slack and I cannot keep up with reeling it in. Any help on what I should be doing better would be greatly appreciated. Wish I could have you out to show me how to improve.
Man it's so hard for me to fish baits like the fuzzy dice looking baits or any of the weird ones on the market... I'll start and don't get bit in 10 or 15 mins then take it off because I don't have any confidence in them. I really need to only bring those baits and leave everything else at home that way I don't have any other options. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
I live up north (kinda, South Dakota) and fish glacial lakes, clear water 95% of the time. Can we get a Smallmouth Master Class? Square bill, flipping, jig head, cranking? Cause I’m not sure they’ll eat a 10” trick on a shakey but maybe I’m wrong? Help? Thanks man.
Hello Tyler, so I’ve been watching your UA-cam videos for a good while now because I’ve been fishing for a long time but I’ve always struggled with knowing if I’m using the right combos . so as of right now, I have two bait casters. Both of them are on 7 foot medium heavy fast action rods. One of the bait casters is a 7.8:1 and the other is a 6.1:1. I mainly use the 7.8:1 for soft baits like worms and I also use it for jigs. I use the 6.1:1 for basically everything else like hard plastics. So really I just want to know if I’m using those two rods for the right thing or if maybe I need to switch it up and then I was also curious as to what kind of combo do you think I should purchase next? Also, both of my bait casters are on 15 pound mono.
I bought the Donald Trump lure off Amazon last year. I was new to top water and I couldn't walk a frog. Literally, on my first cast I had this thing swinging nearly 360 on every jerk of the rod. Seriously, this lure walked like a dream. I still have it in my tacklbox. (It's fun to fish with but it doesn't catch any fish). If you know a pond with numerous giant-hungry bass this lure is for you😂😂😂
Check out the tackle we talked about in the video description!
Hey that’s me.
You make it hard to stay awak
I just subscribed to you. Look forward to watching your videos!
The ultimate bass fishing dynamic duo! ❤😊 love it.
Great video and insights. Thanks Tyler and AJ. I always seem to work my frogs too quick, i need to slow it down lol.
AJ is one of my favorite pros! He’s super down to earth and is a hell of a stick! Nice video!

The beat drop every time they show a bait hits crazy😂
Yuhhhh
Nice to see dice baits are slowly catching on. Another innovation from Japan invented from necessity.

My second rod just broke from Bass Pro in the last year(the guides broke off). Are their any better quility rods that are worth getting?
I know I’m not Tyler ofc but….duckett makes great rods and lews ofc does aswell . I’ve had mine for coming up on 3 years know and never broke on me
Soft plastic jerk bait in Texas ponds, hands down the most Effective lure, it works through the nasty weeds, grass all the yuk!
AJ looks like Tyler's proud dad who taught his son everything he knows lol. All love!
Haha not wrong!

Excellent presentation gentlemen
Thanks for the video
On the topic of the horny toad, the Zman goat is actually a great candidate bc it floats and it has a sublte action so you can stop and go.
Except in Wisconsin, we're still rocking 50 highs and below freezing lows .... Still awaiting the spawn
Wild!!
The Springtime you're talking about is when the Rattle Snakes are in the Blue Bonnets... 👀
My wife could only hear the music every so often watching this and thought I was looking at bikini clad women in slow motion or something 😂
