Today, Tarja reveals the second song from her brand new live-art-album & video “Act II”.
The thrilling live version of “Undertaker”, taken from Tarja’s live performance in Milan, portrays Tarja’s unique talent for combining crystal clear classical vocals, a heavy rocking metal sound and the dynamics of a film score.
In Milan, Tarja and band performed a stunning and powerful set in front of an enthusiastic crowd. After releasing “Love To Hate” from the intimate show at the historic Metropolis Studio in London, “Undertaker” discovers a slightly different side of the queen of Heavy Rock and gives a powerful taste of the forthcoming live release “Act II” showing a different angle of the Art-Video production.
“Act II”, the follow up to Tarja’s worldwide Top 10 chart success, combines two incredible, yet slightly different live performances on video:
The first chapter, “Metropolis Alive”, has been filmed two months prior to the release of Tarja’s 2016 success “The Shadow Self” in an intimate surrounding at renowned Metropolis Studios in London, UK. “Act II’s” second chapter has been recorded on November 29th, 2016 at the magnificent Teatro della Luna in Milan, Italy and includes numerous hits from all four Tarja albums.
Even though the shows deliberately differ in look, sound, approach to the music and adrenalin, both have one thing in common: from the very first to the very last tune, the state of the art production displays Tarja’s energetic performance and her graceful, charming presence.

From bullied country girl to Metal Goddess in just few years. It was so much fun to live all that with them from 1998-2005. I'm so happy to see her enjoying herself in the stage, and even that someone has said she is embarrasing doing all those gestures etc, I find her performance and (sometimes) "goofiness" lovely. It makes her human. And that voice, it's so dramatic and unique.
You should have a look at Tarja s version of stargazers live in Buenos Aires! Its really great.

@@rashaverak666 She has been writing on all her songs since the second album( either as co writer or solo writer ) . My Winter Storm is the only album with songs she didn’t write ( other than her classical and Christmas albums )

AFAIK, this channel does only paid reactions. It's a shame, because I really enjoy to watch these, and I would love to see them doing more Tarja and Nightwish reactions. But thankfully they are doing quite a lot Finnish bands.

@@shspurs1342 Actually pretty many of them have patreons, but they still do a lot of comment requests. Generally they don't get money from youtube, because all money goes to artist. For me it seems very odd, that someone is willing to pay a lot of money to have reaction request. I think some take about 100$ per request (Vin and Sori at least, if I remember correctly).

she is amazing. I love that she continues in the world of symphonic metal (her last album even more so) but I like all her versions. Try demons in you ft Alissa White, goodbye stranger ft Cristina Scabbia, anteroom of death, serene, mystique voyage, you and i, love to hate, diva, falling awake in for a kill, walk alone, until my last breath etc and you you can see the versatility of it

For classic Nightwish live look for the "From Wishes to Eternity" concert, got that one 20 years ago and thats for me always how i imagine them with Tarja.
Look especially for "Walkin in the air", "Deep silent complete" and "Dead boys poem"

Lesson is this, stop stopping yourself going after your passions. She never started out wanting to a metal singer.
But her passion is music and her mindset is to not back away from a challenge when she can grow from it.
Oh my has she. From breaking out im Nightwish in 1997 till 2023 Global superstar blazing her own trail.
Never stopped herself from trying new things. Also never stopped working on being the best she can. Even reaching out to her friend and vocal coach when she feels stuck om something.

It's so amazing to watch how much fun she has on stage since she started her solo career... Dead promises would be my next suggestion fro Tarja, or pretty much anything from the end of an era DVD with nightwish!

@@oo.llpee.7457 I discovered them with "Oceanborn", and also went through the whole split drama, then lost interest when i saw the first live videos with Anette, not that i hate her, but live she was just bad most of the time, and then when i heared about Floor i was hyped again, since i knew her already from After Forever.
I still prefer the "Whishes" concert since "End of an Aera" for me the name alone still has a bad taste in my mouth somehow, and of course i watche the Wishes concert quite a lot in the early 2000s.
@@beldin2987 I also discovered them right after they released Oceanborn. I'm sure I had heard of them before, but didn't really listen to them. Oceanborn was right up my alley, same with Wishmaster, Century Child, and Once. I still listen to more of those old albums than these new ones.
And my feelings about Anette are pretty much same than yours. From the very first listen I was like "What the hell have they done". I mean, she is not a bad singer, but she sounds too poppy, and was not a good fit to NW imo.
So I pretty much abandoned them for 5 years. Then came Floor. I have to say that I didn't know her too well, and I wasn't sure until I checked her out...then I was like "Yep, I can live with that" =) And when they released that first GLS video, goddamn I have been hooked since that. I can't believe it's almost 8 years already! Somehow it seems a lot shorter period than 1998-2005.
Since we are coming upon the Christmas season soon, please check out her version of "Feliz Navidad" it is great!

Besides being talented Tarja is a very cute person ❤ I would like to suggest a performance that she recorded at Woodstock in 2016. The name of the song is "Supremacy". It is a cover that Tarja made of a band called "Muse". It's iconic!

That song sucks big time. I have such above high expectations from Tarja (her Nightwidh era was incredible) that almost everything she does now bothers me until the last detail. She is an almost perfect singer and I dont expect nothing less from that from her.
The song is great. As for Nightwish and all that drama - blame Tuomas and his ego. But it's all past. They got Floor now (and she's fine, but sounds too ordinary), and Tarja - is Tarja. One and only. She never needed them.
