In this video I will demonstrate a couple incredible techniques I developed
that have drastically increased the time it takes to lace my leather
projects. I guarantee with a little practice will expedite your projects a lot more
efficiently.
The methods I show work for me with the understanding there's a lot of different methods that are standard use in the industry
My lacing method is all about cutting production time and efficiency
so you can get your lacing time to under 1 hour with ease
I provide a demo with commentary using my leather lacing method
on a double looped laced bifold wallet
Lace used is brown 3/32 formed calf lace and double prong lace needles from SLC leather supply
Here's a couple real world bonus tips
PS one quick point when lacing not mentioned is how you dress and location is important
to a hassle free timely lacing job. The excess lace can get snagged on everything as you are
lacing. It can get snagged on your shoes, your chair, your workbench, your cloths. So If I'm stitching or lacing I get setup accordingly to avoid that. Also be careful as lace and thread
picks up pet hairs off the floor so keep your floor clean. I'm sure some can relate.LOL

Great tip, thanks. I like using the double loop lacing and you are correct, it takes a lot of time. I try to use enough lace to complete a project without splicing.
Thanks for the comment. Boy did I do a lot of lacing for Christmas orders. Exhausted. Once you get good at it. I got my time down to about 40 mins for a bifold with a 5 min break between my halfway point splice . Every now and then you'll come across a lousy spool of lace that's weak, frays and breaks easily . I use silver creek premium calf lace . Have fun and enjoy your lacing
