Years ago, I would listen to the Luigi video of this compilation when doing homework, trying to sleep, or just as background noise. Years after, I was talking to my brother and told him about this video and he was like," No way. I LISTEN TO THE SAME VIDEO!!!" I'll never forget that moment. I miss him.
This might get lost out in the world, but I broke down in tears listening to Aquatic Ambience. Me and my brother have been lifetime friends, one of the last things I did with him was beat donkey kong country on the Switch Online snes emulator. I'm now in college alone, studying to some homework, the stress building up, and hearing this brought back all the memories of us laughing our heads off yelling whenever we died or throwing DK barrels at kremlings. Then this peaceful song plays, we all give reverence to it, or maybe we were quiet because of how stressful and anxiety inducing these water levels are. Either way, you could hear this music clear through the speakers. I never knew I could cry over a game with an ape and his little buddy on a quest to save the bananas.
These compilations kept me sane enough to finish my undergrad degree in 6 years when a lot of my friends finished in 4. The emotions tied to every track mean so much to us. Thank you so much for bringing them back.
bro this is the soundtrack of almost all os significant events in my life (estudying for college entry exams, estudying for exams and now studiyng for my graduation project)
I’m lucky of having all the songs luigi used in this relaxing Nintendo music series, but it’s not the same thing without the timeline, the comments and the breathtaking wallpaper Edit: when I say having, I say I downloaded it
just mathed it out for fun, the video has about 107K views right now and is 83 minutes long. If you do all the math, cumulatively people have spent ~16 years watching this version of the video. Sadly IDK how many views the Luigi version had, but I suspect is was many, many more than this one.
Sorry I'm just now seeing this, but I agree! I did mention Luigi in the description for the playlist that all four of these videos are in, but you're making me realize that I forgot to mention it in the individual video descriptions too. Changing that now!
Is this version of Aquatic Ambience just a super high fidelity version of the original? Or is it a legit cover? Because it doesn't sound exactly like the original but in many ways it sounds better and more crisp?
So I wasn't the only one who thought there was a distinguishable difference. Not necessarily a worse mixed version either just sounded like there was an extra instrumental layer added or something along those lines (don't have a background or professional experience in musical arrangement by any means)
Sorry I'm JUST NOW seeing this and I don't have an exact answer for you because I remade these compilations so long ago. The way I did it was I took the tracklist from the descriptions of each of Luigi's videos and then compiled each song individually into one video. So it's possible that the one I ended up using here is slightly different from the original. I looked thru my files for these videos and I'm pretty sure the audio I used for Aquatic Ambience is from this: ua-cam.com/video/-5rAjOjTGtc/v-deo.html
@@mattdrnbrgr It is a rebuild with the 16bit machine that super nintendo used to have inside. The people who have listened the song for a million years can notice that change because the effects like reverb or delay are not the same but still sounds like aquatic ambience and it happens with all songs of DKC in yout video. And for the Professor Layton song it is a nice cover with really HQ instruments. Thank you for this video :)
They banned theoriginal video from luigi then i searched and found a new one from different people who reupload it. After few months its taken down and i have found you so i listen to yours now.
Some songs are longer than the ones used by Luigi. For example at 31:59 "Curtain of Night (Professor Layton & The Curious Village)" is definitely longer

I've lisened the original mix back in 2015 or 2016. It was a real help for my anxiety and laboral bullying. THanks to upload it again!
I remember watching luigi's videos back in 2017 and i miss his playlists so much.
These compilations kept me sane enough to finish my undergrad degree in 6 years when a lot of my friends finished in 4. The emotions tied to every track mean so much to us.
Thank you so much for bringing them back.

...where'd that version of Stickerbrush Symphony come from? It doesn't match DKC2's instrumentation.
It's probably the HQ version from Jammin' Sam Miller. He's remastered basically the entire soundtrack of all three DKC games on his channel.
Omg thank you
I appreciate the re-upload but you should mention Luigi.
Sorry I'm just now seeing this, but I agree! I did mention Luigi in the description for the playlist that all four of these videos are in, but you're making me realize that I forgot to mention it in the individual video descriptions too. Changing that now!
Is this like in Apple Music or something?
No

They deleted the other videos
What do you mean?
They banned theoriginal video from luigi then i searched and found a new one from different people who reupload it. After few months its taken down and i have found you so i listen to yours now.
wijnruit Ahh okay. If these videos ever get taken down I’ll just reupload them again lol
Thanks you.. hugsss
i think the order's exactly the same, so why is there an extra 8 minutes?
Some songs are longer than the ones used by Luigi.

Also 59:39 - The Forest of Hope (Pikmin) is longer.
