This helped me through a mental breakdown... My life has been pretty shit as of late and everything has felt so overwhelming. This gave me the reminder that it's ok to just sit back and give yourself some space. That it will all be ok.
I feel you so much... I lost pretty everyone I dared to love recently. My friend circle, my best friend, my GF, my cat, and some other things. As you, I got a mental breakdown, it passed though, or at least I think, I hope so ? All of this crap made me realize once and for all my loneliness, and I couldn't prevent me to reflect about myself and what I am. You know, the kind of stuff like "am I a good person ?"... Anyway, however is reading that and your problem, I have compassion, the future will be better. Night don't stay forever, there will be a time where the sun may rise again. Just take your own ressources for yourself and be confident. :)

I have ADHD and i struggle to focus if i don't have some background music to mute out all the noise. This playlist has been great at work, really helped me get work done without getting my attention broken by every little sound, it's also calm enough not to distract me from my work to the music either. Absolutely agreed. Check out the ambient jungle/dnb/breakcore playlists on UA-cam, they seem to work for me too. I don't have ADHD, but it is crazy hard to concentrate for me and that music helps a lot.

I used to play this while helping my mother during quarantine back in 2020. It was almost a weekly task and really stressed me out. Coming back to this playlist gives me the chills, I don´t miss those days but this definitely helped me through those tough times. FYI my mom is well and so am I. This is my favorite mix because over the years I have listened to it when going through something tough at the end of each day. I listened to it when I had to leave my grandparents, I listened to it after loosing friends, I listened to it after getting out of an abusive relationship with my ex, I listened to it when I had to move away from everything I had ever known. This compilation is more than just a list of some of my favorite nintendo songs, it's a list that's gotten me through some of the most difficult parts of my life. God bless.
3 Years ago was probably the darkest period of my life. I was working in retail for 4 years, had to deal with depression and suicidal ideation in the passive stages, and to top it off, I didn't feel safe in my own home at the time. I don't want to reveal too much of that part, though. But the best part about it? It has been a long time since I was that low. Yeah, there was a brief period where it got close enough, but now I can comfortably say that I can deal with life on an equal footing. I can finally come back to this video and feel great comfort. Instead of some bittersweet, uncertain comfort amidst my pain, which is what I felt at the time. Thank you for making this. It was a huge help then.
What I appreciate the most of this "Nintendo Chill" mix is that the high frequencies are reduced greatly compared to others, making it easier to actually relax/focus, whereas other mixes have too much going on with the higher frequencies that it becomes distracting. Thank you for this!
If I could recommend anything for future videos like this, I would probably make the higher frequencies have a slower attack, just to round them out a bit more.

Hearing these tunes really makes me think of Mario, Bowser, Luigi, Toad, Peach, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, and all the Nintendo characters. Look how far they've come. People have created fanart of them, have written several fanfictions about them (Myself not included unfortunately), or have cosplayed as them as well. I have not played them myself, but I have seen others play them. It's bittersweet, really.
This is a great mix for studying/writing. So many other Nintendo mixes have super distracting songs in them, but this one is just chill vibes. Thank you!
Graduating High School in a few days. I really don't know what to say other than huzzah. Trails and tribulations, arguments, and restless nights have all cumulated to one moment. I may never develop video games that'll see the light of day or follow a fraction of what my Nintendo heroes created, but i will always enjoy what they've made for me and everyone else. Man, i remember reaching this video like 3 years ago, this and another one called "nintendo music to calm anxiety", so much stuff has changed upon that, and the curious thing is, I think when i discovered these videos and this cannel, I was in a pretty similar emotional state. What I really want to say is, thank you so much vapid for these music compilations, you've always managed to make me feel better with your videos and I guess it was already time for me to at least say this for everything. And also thank you SO SO MUCH to this community that has been formed in some of the darkest times of our lives, really thank you so so much.
This is so incredibly nostalgic for me, as I would listen to this constantly last spring for my physics homework. I hope this mix will never fade throughout my college years.
I cannot believe AC New Leaf is nearly 11 years old. I remember being round my friends house new years day 2013, he showed me it, made me a villager and let me play it. Pretty much me, him and a couple of others played Halo Reach forge and ACNL for 10 hours. Those were some amazing times, making silly little courses on forge with dumb minigames and silly storylines. I wasn't anywhere near old enough to play Halo lmao but it was just so much fun. That day is a memory I'll forever cherish, I got New Leaf, Dream Team Bros and a 2ds for Christmas 2013. I spend HOURS making that bloody town, I even had a villager that was my favourite, Rod the Rat. I thought that bloody rat was the coolest thing ever. I mailed him pretty loads, spoke to him as much as I could and sold him a fossil piece. However, after a few months, maybe even a year playing, Rod began moving out. I hadn't seen him at all the previous day to talk him out of it. I was HEARTBROKEN, absolutely devastated. I had had villagers move out before and I was sad but this was Rod, my best buddy. I ended up deleting that town, hoping to get him back in another village. But I didn't. If I had known I could've gotten him to move back, I would never have deleted that world haha. That all happened 7 or 8 years ago now, I haven't touched NL since probably 2019, maybe I should see if he's in my new, Undertale-themed town. Maybe I should also ask if my mate still has his old save of AC NL...
There's something about this scene... It just feels perfect, Yoshi just sat there on the side of the bridge, having some alone time probably after a long day of fighting lots of Bowser's minions, watching the sun set over the hill, and just having a great time vibing to the music. If anyone was wondering this scene actually comes from a DS game called Super Mario 64 DS, it's fairly similar to Super Mario 64 but it's somewhat different, instead of playing just as Mario you can play as Luigi, Yoshi and Wario. And there were some special minigames you could play, this scene comes from the minigame called "Loves me...?" You know that weird game where you get a flower and take the petals of one by one to see if someone loves you or not? It was essentially that. It was a random and silly game that was fun to play along with all the other minigames. I had a DS and a 3DS and I used to love playing this game as I kid and I almost always played as Yoshi because he was my favourite (and still is). I also used to play a lot of Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Bros DS, and Mario Party DS. I would also play Yoshi's New Island, Tomodachi Life or New Super Mario Bros 2 on my 3DS They were all so much fun as a kid. I even 100% completed New Super Mario Bros DS, New Super Mario Bros 2 and Yoshi's New Island. It is genuinely impossible for me to decide which one was my favourite, I loved all of them. It's a shame that I almost never see people talk about most of these games because they were awesome. Sadly, I don't have my Nintendo DS or 3DS anymore, I'm not sure what happened to them, I don't know if I just got bored of them and just sold them to someone, or they somehow got broken on accident, or if I just lost them one day and could never find it. but I do miss it, I wish I still had it sometimes so I could revisit these amazing games again. Who knows? Maybe one day i'll get a DS and 3ds and play these games again, so I can revisit my childhood. And I just want to say thank you Nintendo. Found this mix in the first lockdown, had such amazing tracks I listened to it almost daily. I struggle a lot to basically function without music and this mix helped me so much to get through the mountains of schoolwork. I still listen to it often now but it has such a unique vibe because of the memories it brings back of lockdown. For many it was hell, being stuck inside all day everyday. For myself however, it was the introverts dream - my mother worked as a social carer so I had the house to myself. I could do whatever I wanted, spent hours playing video games, listening to tracks like this, drawing, coding etc. For me it was a complete haven. No loud corridors, no draining interactions, food and water whenever you wanted it. Pure bliss for an introvert like myself 😍
For me, one of the most memorable songs is the 6pm song by Animal Crossing New Leaf. it reminds me of lying in bed after having come home from work after school. Every time I listen, images of the sun setting through the window and of my nearly full-grown apple orchard come to mind. Also, thank you for this wonderful playlist! ❤️

I was listening to this while studying for the university until I reached the track of switcheroo from DK CR. Suddenly, I remembered how I used to play this level with my younger brother. Im going to be honest, when i first opened this playlist i was simply expecting some nintendo music just to fall asleep, but idk why, when i heard the first song i just got lost in my thoughts, and started to remember my good and bad memories.... shortly after, it started playing this goofy kirby music and suddenly i was just filled with happiness, and now here i am, just chilling after this 5 minute emotional rollercoster

Absolutely agreed. Check out the ambient jungle/dnb/breakcore playlists on UA-cam, they seem to work for me too. I don't have ADHD, but it is crazy hard to concentrate for me and that music helps a lot.

I used to play this while helping my mother during quarantine back in 2020. It was almost a weekly task and really stressed me out. Coming back to this playlist gives me the chills, I don´t miss those days but this definitely helped me through those tough times.

This is my favorite mix because over the years I have listened to it when going through something tough at the end of each day. I listened to it when I had to leave my grandparents, I listened to it after loosing friends, I listened to it after getting out of an abusive relationship with my ex, I listened to it when I had to move away from everything I had ever known. This compilation is more than just a list of some of my favorite nintendo songs, it's a list that's gotten me through some of the most difficult parts of my life. God bless.
3 Years ago was probably the darkest period of my life.
I was working in retail for 4 years, had to deal with depression and suicidal ideation in the passive stages, and to top it off, I didn't feel safe in my own home at the time. I don't want to reveal too much of that part, though.
But the best part about it? It has been a long time since I was that low.
Yeah, there was a brief period where it got close enough, but now I can comfortably say that I can deal with life on an equal footing.
I can finally come back to this video and feel great comfort. Instead of some bittersweet, uncertain comfort amidst my pain, which is what I felt at the time.

What I appreciate the most of this "Nintendo Chill" mix is that the high frequencies are reduced greatly compared to others, making it easier to actually relax/focus, whereas other mixes have too much going on with the higher frequencies that it becomes distracting. Thank you for this!
If I could recommend anything for future videos like this, I would probably make the higher frequencies have a slower attack, just to round them out a bit more.

This animation is actually from the New Super Mario Bros DS game. Specifically the vs minigame "loves me not". What a weird core memory.
Hearing these tunes really makes me think of Mario, Bowser, Luigi, Toad, Peach, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, and all the Nintendo characters.
Look how far they've come. People have created fanart of them, have written several fanfictions about them (Myself not included unfortunately), or have cosplayed as them as well.
I have not played them myself, but I have seen others play them. It's bittersweet, really.

Man, i remember reaching this video like 3 years ago, this and another one called "nintendo music to calm anxiety", so much stuff has changed upon that, and the curious thing is, I think when i discovered these videos and this cannel, I was in a pretty similar emotional state.
What I really want to say is, thank you so much vapid for these music compilations, you've always managed to make me feel better with your videos and I guess it was already time for me to at least say this for everything. This is so incredibly nostalgic for me, as I would listen to this constantly last spring for my physics homework. I hope this mix will never fade throughout my college years.
I cannot believe AC New Leaf is nearly 11 years old. I remember being round my friends house new years day 2013, he showed me it, made me a villager and let me play it. Pretty much me, him and a couple of others played Halo Reach forge and ACNL for 10 hours. Those were some amazing times, making silly little courses on forge with dumb minigames and silly storylines. I wasn't anywhere near old enough to play Halo lmao but it was just so much fun.
That day is a memory I'll forever cherish, I got New Leaf, Dream Team Bros and a 2ds for Christmas 2013. I spend HOURS making that bloody town, I even had a villager that was my favourite, Rod the Rat. I thought that bloody rat was the coolest thing ever. I mailed him pretty loads, spoke to him as much as I could and sold him a fossil piece. However, after a few months, maybe even a year playing, Rod began moving out. I hadn't seen him at all the previous day to talk him out of it. I was HEARTBROKEN, absolutely devastated. I had had villagers move out before and I was sad but this was Rod, my best buddy. I ended up deleting that town, hoping to get him back in another village.
But I didn't. If I had known I could've gotten him to move back, I would never have deleted that world haha. That all happened 7 or 8 years ago now, I haven't touched NL since probably 2019, maybe I should see if he's in my new, Undertale-themed town. Maybe I should also ask if my mate still has his old save of AC NL...

There's something about this scene... It just feels perfect, Yoshi just sat there on the side of the bridge, having some alone time probably after a long day of fighting lots of Bowser's minions, watching the sun set over the hill, and just having a great time vibing to the music.
If anyone was wondering this scene actually comes from a DS game called Super Mario 64 DS, it's fairly similar to Super Mario 64 but it's somewhat different, instead of playing just as Mario you can play as Luigi, Yoshi and Wario. And there were some special minigames you could play, this scene comes from the minigame called "Loves me...?" You know that weird game where you get a flower and take the petals of one by one to see if someone loves you or not? It was essentially that. It was a random and silly game that was fun to play along with all the other minigames.
I had a DS and a 3DS and I used to love playing this game as I kid and I almost always played as Yoshi because he was my favourite (and still is). I also used to play a lot of Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Bros DS, and Mario Party DS. I would also play Yoshi's New Island, Tomodachi Life or New Super Mario Bros 2 on my 3DS They were all so much fun as a kid. I even 100% completed New Super Mario Bros DS, New Super Mario Bros 2 and Yoshi's New Island. It is genuinely impossible for me to decide which one was my favourite, I loved all of them. It's a shame that I almost never see people talk about most of these games because they were awesome.
Sadly, I don't have my Nintendo DS or 3DS anymore, I'm not sure what happened to them, I don't know if I just got bored of them and just sold them to someone, or they somehow got broken on accident, or if I just lost them one day and could never find it. but I do miss it, I wish I still had it sometimes so I could revisit these amazing games again. Who knows? Maybe one day i'll get a DS and 3ds and play these games again, so I can revisit my childhood.

Found this mix in the first lockdown, had such amazing tracks I listened to it almost daily. I struggle a lot to basically function without music and this mix helped me so much to get through the mountains of schoolwork. I still listen to it often now but it has such a unique vibe because of the memories it brings back of lockdown. For many it was hell, being stuck inside all day everyday. For myself however, it was the introverts dream - my mother worked as a social carer so I had the house to myself. I could do whatever I wanted, spent hours playing video games, listening to tracks like this, drawing, coding etc. For me it was a complete haven. No loud corridors, no draining interactions, food and water whenever you wanted it. Pure bliss for an introvert like myself 😍
