My Mom passed in December of 2022, and my Dad’s has been gone since I was a young boy… It’s tough, but they would want you to get through this, no matter how long it takes. Your shows are awesome and hilarious, but take as much time as it takes to clear your head. We’re here for you!! 😊

Good luck Alan! I have not been able to post regular videos to my channel for over a year due to health issues. I was initially worried about losing subscribers and views, but ultimately realized that if the channel is supposed to be just for fun, and not my main job, then I should never worry about it like a job. I love UA-camrs like you that don’t rely on their channel’s as their main source of income. The channels feel more fun and real. So take your time, and only make videos you have fun making. We will always be here.

Being nearly the same age and having had similar experiences, I can certainly relate and totally understand. Hang in there Alan, do what is right for you and what you need to do for yourself. It's a harsh reality, this is life at our age.

Sorry for your loss, I have fortunately not experienced the loss of parents but am now at the age where it is becoming more common around me so I have seen how difficult it can be. Take the time needed, UA-cam isn't going anywhere I am sure we will be here when you are ready.

Sorry for your loss, Alan. Had something similar with 2022. My mom passed on October 5th 2022 and then my dad passed November 5th 2022. Both had serious health issues as well. Hang in there, bud.

It is one of life’s hardest experiences loosing your parents. And it becomes a full time job caretaking even though you already have a full time job. But, you automatically take the role to love them and care for them and it’s not a matter of love but it wears you down over time. Enjoy your break ! My condolences my friend. It's not easy at times but we manage to carry on. 22 was a rough yr for me. Mom lost her battle with cancer and 3 wks later our 13 yr old dog lost it's long battle with covid 😓

Sorry for your stress and losses. I was just looking for a recent video after one of your top underrated guitarist videos popped up. Not a musician but definitely a rock fan here. Here's a musician you might enjoy discovering, if you take some down time, who isn't in a huge band but is stellar. Jim Vallance said of him "easily one of the most gifted musicians I've spent time with" and Andy Curran (Coney Hatch and Anthem Records A&R for a time) said "this will shock you...I mean this respectfully to (Rush members named)...Ian Thornley is by far, hands down, I would say the most talented musician I've ever met in my life". If you aren't familiar with him check out the original version of Ladylike for blazing solo in open Db minor, solo in A Million Days channeling Steve Morse, SRV style solo in Ghosts. He uses lots of dropped, baritone or open tunings and plays slide too. Live performances include Suhr 2014, 2015, 2016 and Dunlop Sessions: Big Wreck. He seems to be the musician's musician. May 2024 be a great year for you.
