Ordered a fully kitted out 2024 GT in August due to the dealership I worked at no longer having allocations for Dark horse orders. Does make me a bit upset the GT doesn’t come with the Tremec 6 speed but I know I’ll enjoy the GT as my first muscle car specked out exactly to my liking! Great Video btw!
I also would like to add that I actually ordered (I meant to order I should say), a 24, but the banks were closed already LOL. So I had to go ahead in order 25. Now I caught the price increase and since they was going up in me I said oh well, I opted for pretty much everything except for that crazy color. I got a white one with the printed stripe, and all the good stuff included in the Handeling package with the wider wheels and you know the gurney flap on the spoiler. I didn't get the Recaro seats because I wanted the heating and cooling function that you can get in the regular seats and the full reclining ability, but you know, it was 80K and I'll get a deal on it beause I'll trade my 18 in and probably get maybe.20 for that and give me some money out of my pocket. Now I'll be cool with about fifty so it's alright.
Man I love this color 🙌🏽 I was like you, didn’t really like the rear end. But after seeing a couple in person, especially the Dark Horse, it looks so damn good! I’m still enjoying my S550 but maybe one day I’ll trade-in for an S650…maybe
If I could have got a darkhorse performance pack MT for near MSRP, I would have picked it up. Got the GT Premium performance pack with mag ride and it's cool. If Ford would let us tune it, the car would be amazing! Still will be when the whipple gets installed. BTW, the GT Coyote can easily handle 800 whp and rods are not an issue until you get to 1000. But the load time on that screen is awful! And every time I do anything it backs me out of screens and it takes finger f-ing the screen about 5 times to get the screen I want again. And the GT Premium fully loaded with mag ride, like mine, is as good - actually BETTER than a base darkhorse.
@@FitzCityGarage TBH I just looked at Autotrader, and they are way overpriced from 1 year ago... I got mine 8/23 for $85k with 6250 miles, now 7300, and those are asking around 90K around here (Tri state area). Last year in winter, those same cars were 82k with same miles. I stand (slightly) corrected. Lets see what they are in a few months.
If i could swing a payment for the dark horse i would get one. But, since I can't right now i'm going to get a base 2025 mustang gt and start from a blank canvas.
@FitzCityGarage what's the problem with the car after getting out fixed at dealer? You just want something else or what made you not want it? They are pretty dam good cars. And once the V8 is gone will retain its value. Which that's where we're going.
@@TheKingOfKings818 The issue still persists. It was short lived. I go to the dealer again tomorrow. A recent engine teardown video shows that there isn't much special about the DH engine after all. I'm better off boosting a 2024 F150 and a 2024 Premium GT. Cost of the DH isn't worth it in comparison. Will be a fun garage to have!
@FitzCityGarage i seen the tare down. It had Everything it claimed it had except the block was the same as the third gen coyote. Meaning it didn't have the same flow as the f150 gen 4. Still has forged internals what it claimed.
Crank is nothing special, GT500 rods is confirmed, pistons are the same as an S550, cams don't look any different to an engine builder. S550 rods are stout as well, so having GT500 rods doesn't do anyone any good. 900rwhp is still okay on the Boss 302 rods (GT rods). Best bang for the buck deal is a $44-45k Mustang with a whipple. $55k all in with over 800+HP. Then don't, wheels/tires, suspension, headers, exhaust, etc... 24 Premium GTs can even be had lightly used under $50k as well. Good deals out there.

How did they fix rear cranky?

A 2013 or 2014, sure. Low mileage 2020+ GT500s still fetch $80k+ in a 500 mile radius from me.
