The importance and irony of representatives of multicultural, multiple religions, various ages, singing THIS song with intense expressive emotion, for the first time in my life, brought tears of encouragement to my eyes. This song was written about the Vietnam War. It talks about peace, it has nothing to do with Covid19. Also "imagine no possessions" is an incredibly communist idea. I'm so happy that Bill Kaulitz from Tokio Hotel got involved with this. They've always been so sweet and caring from the beginning of their career and even performed for the charity Ein Herz Für Kinder, which helps to support children in need both in Germany and around the world. So I'm not surprised that they did the Imagine Project. I'm definitely proud that they've stayed the same with their love for people and animals :)

'Imagine' by John Lennon is NOT a song of hope. That is why there are so few views for it. Lennon's song is a sardonic attack on the way even hope in a nuclear, superpower age has no apparent chance of being ever a reality. Lennon, I feel, deliberately wrote the song this way as a bitter response to the way the pretensions of a few have stamped out the dreams of many. Because people need to dream, they need to dream that there IS actually a heaven. In this modern age, Lennon was perhaps right to turn that aspiration on its head as a counterpoint to the way things stand now. It's the same approach with his 'War Is Over' from 1972 ('And so this is Christmas': just feel that sardonic attack of his cutting like a knife as the Vietnam 'peace talks' continued in Paris). The problem here with this video is that the song and the video have been presented literally and the result is an insipid, frigid damp squib of a thing. You might even say that it is the result of cold, calculating minds to snuff out the dreams of the many! What a mistake! Or, perhaps, how terrible the way that young people should be gleefully singing that there is NO heaven! That IS a terrible thing!
