However, IZNA is managed by WakeOne and the way they mishandled Kep1er makes me concerned that they will do the same with IZNA. Firstly, they missed the deadline for the VISA for KCon LA, despite having 3 weeks between debut and KCon LA. I'm worried that the girls are being poorly managed. Without The Blacklabel, I fear they will be left to train by themselves for 3 months until KCon Germany, hindering their skill development and performance. Additionally, the stylist's choice of colourful outfits that don't match the songs is a letdown and shows a lack of understanding of their music. It's time for a change! 💪🏼❤🔥

i agree on mostly what he said EXCEPT FOR THE BODY SHAMING PART. Yes, the stage looks crowded, maybe the costume plays the big part and small stage, also maybe we are used to iland 2 stages, that they only have 5 members in each group. The show picked the girls who looks cohesive at stage but they failed to maximize it.
You lost all credibility when you started body shaming the girls, whom, by the way, are teenagers. This is a pre-debut stage. The songs they performed are from I-land, where we are used to only seeing 4 to 5 members perform. Of course the lines will be redistributed. Of course it will look crowded; we’ve been accustomed to small amount of members because that’s how they were divided in the survival show. New fans whom never watched I-land are responding positively to their performances, especially the Blackpink fans. So the fact that the fans who’ve followed the show and are disappointed are obviously biased to the solo member they feel partial to.

From what I saw on the Kcon 2024 live stream in Germany and on social media, the Izna group is having a huge success. They had twice as many viewers online on the Kcon live stream, in their promotional videos they are above the others, social media with millions of views. I don't think they are exhausted. I think Jungeun did better overall, with an audible voice, and without breaks, she was very stable, some of them were noticed to be more protected. I agree that the clothes were not appropriate, and they could have managed each one's part better.
@@Dcdoc-1 Jo1's video came out 1 day before Izna's, and the difference is minimal, but it's not the numbers, but the reactions, the group was well received, they are new, they can do better, they haven't even debuted yet, but I agree that it was poorly planned. Unusual positions, Sarang appeared in new parts, but she wasn't bad. I didn't care much for her, but she surprised me for example. My bias is Jungeun anyway. Standards placed on female idols are too much that it's crazy. If you're not as tall as the others they'd criticize you. If you're not as thin as they'd like they'd criticize you (that's body shaming btw, and it's not even that noticeable if Jiyoon really gained weight) The list goes on. It's not objective analysis but bullying and projection at this point. The guy is unnecessarily just being too critical.

Hey Dave, it's awesome that you checked out both KCon Germany performances and compared them with the I-Land 2 performance. It's clear that some fans really want IZNA to put the spotlight on Bang Jeemin, always keeping her in the centre to outshine the others. But here's the thing: During I-Land 2, the Drip song was meant for 5 girls and later expanded to 7 after their debut. This meant that the original song distribution had to be adjusted. To maintain a harmonious dynamic within the group, they made the decision to share some of Bang Jeemin's parts with the other members. It's a tough balance to strike, but it's important for the overall cohesiveness of the group. So, while not everyone may be completely satisfied, it's essential to prioritise group harmony. I always agree with your opinion. I was especially surprised by KOKO's outfit that hid her arms. The only difference is that sometimes I want to see a song with Saebi in the center. Jeemin may have a personality that doesn't like to stand out. I think it might be a good idea to get a trainer to manage her facial expressions and make her stand out even in certain parts.

Jeemin is okay tho, she's giving her all if she is in the center and she is good at that. She's making the group look balance by her facial expression and vibes she radiate. Jeemin has a natural aura and she didn't need to have an over facial expression just to stand out.

WakeOne really messed up with the outfits on day one, that is correct, 2nd day was much better, still with minor flaws. I think that on day one the chaotic patterns of the clothing, and some completely absurd choices to have together like Jungeun's baggy black jacket look in the same formation with Saebi's outfit or Koko's was absurd. Whoever made the outfit choices needs to be questioned, it looked utterly unprofessional. I also agree with your point about showing the arms clearly, that is a rookie mistake for the stylists to make, it upsets me greatly as it is such an obvious thing to not do. Again who does WakeOne have dressing the girls? Is that guy even professional? I fully disagree with your Jeemin center with 6 auxiliary members take. That approach would instantly alienate all the not-onepick Jeemin stans and generate fan wars, something so easy to accomplish with a survival group. You're almost telling them how to self destruct, you should reconsider this point. This is not Wonyoung and Ive, the situation is completely different, the core fanbase has a very different psychology than Ive's. Want to generate a sea of negativity and birth a legion of antifans? Make this group Jeemin + 6 backups.... easy... So that is frankly, suicidal advice for this particular group. Having said that, I do agree that perhaps a more cohesive center related strategy needs to be implemented. I have thought the choreographies through and I can see how she could have been better utilized with more central presence, but I still do not believe going to the extreme you seem to advocate would be good. A more moderate approach might work. An extreme Jeemin + 6 backups approach? No. Being realistic about their debut I do not think WakeOne will manage to outdo the Babymonster debut(with all its flaws!!!), that is pretty much a given, and it's wild fantasy to think they would pull that off. But that is ok, not everyone needs to break records. The debut has to be the best it can be, and I agree with you - the girls need to work very hard and not think they've already won by just debuting. I want them to have a great career, and I think that given hard work and some moderate amount of competence from the producing side - and some tough love to have them improve where they are lacking - they can pull it off. Maybe they will go on an Nmixx-like trajectory, who knows? Hopefully everything keeps improving, and they will do better and better.

Didn't Batter Up flop tho, and isn't Baemon getting surpassed by ILLIT and KISS OF LIFE in terms of charting and stuff. BAEMON is obviously the most talented but like NMIXX, that doesn't guarantee commercial success. In fact, i wouldn't say the biggest girl groups (NEWJEANS, IVE, LESSERAFIM) these days are the most talented, except for AESPA of course.

Sarang’s height is a factor that makes her at a disadvantage between all the members so putting her in an outfit that’s a little bit different from others helps. Also I hate how people think she’s being pushed just because of the line distribution. I’m sorry but was she supposed to be a backup dancer?? Jiyoon had the most lines overall with 83 seconds. Sarang only had 62 seconds. This is a SEVEN member girl group. Everyone needs to let go this stupid I-Land2 nostalgia. Lines need to be shared. Sarang got the “leave you with love” part in IWALY because not only does it have her name but her vocal tone suits it. Many people complimented her at Kcon. These Jiyoon stans need to move on. The hate is so forced. Saebi had the most center time including Jeemin. Although both of them had the least line distribution. Saebi is a great performer and her facial expressions keeps you interested while Jeemin struggles to do so especially her facial expressions. It’s a little too bland. It feels like Jeemin doesn’t stand out when Saebi is there. Debuting both of them in the same group wasn’t a great decision. If Jeemin wants to stand out she needs to out perform Saebi. Sarang wasn’t even center for her high note or Jiyoon for some of her lines it was always Jeemin or Saebi in the center. It’s nostalgia because most people want this “iconic” moment from Jiyoon. But in reality it’s only iconic to I-Land2 watchers. Outside of I-Land2 nobody knows she even sang that line and many praised Sarang for doing it. Sarang did the high note well and was heavily praised during Kcon. The only people arguing with it are you Jiyoon stans and I-Land2 watchers who refuse to acknowledge the line because you’re so stuck up with what Jiyoon did in the past. What happened in I-Land2 should stay in I-Land2. Sarang got the line. Producers chose it for her. Jiyoon can’t have every line. She already has a HUGE line distribution. I think they need to restructure the members. There needs to be a clear identity. Jeemin should be Center all across the board. Jiyoon and Jungeon main vocalist. Koko main dancer, Mai and Saebi as visuals sub vocals that add to the charm. And Sarang can be that filler members for vocals and rap. I think keeping the top 3 members as the center of the songs would be best because the 3 J’s have more aura to them. Pushing them aside for the sake of fair line distribution will do the group as a whole a disservice
Do you understand how degrading it is to consider Sarang as a filler member when she’s arguably the most talented amongst them all and literally VVN and Leejung considered her The Allrounder. She literally has one of the top vocals, dance, visuals and stage presence then there’s people like you considering her as a filler member. So rude she’s up for a main rap position, there can be more than 2 main vocalists in a group and she’s also a very good dancer.

Jungeun stood out. Jeemin had more screentime than all the members combined. A center distribution was calculated and Jeemin had the most time as center. Just because Sarang and Saebi stand out doesn’t mean they’re being pushed. Those two have great stage presence also Jungeun had more vocal lines than Sarang. Jungeun had 81 seconds and Sarang only got 66 seconds. Koko rapped and she did dance. This hate for Saebi and Sarang needs to stop. It’s not their fault your favourites struggled to stand out.

I disagree look at heeseung from Enhypen he placed 5th and has become the most popular member maybe for short term jungeun and jeemin should be pushed more (jungeun is being pushed already) but the popularity and positive feedback can change in a matter of months and we shouldn’t be stuck on the position they got in a show from a while ago
The line distribution was fine. No need to shorten Sarang’s parts. Who else is going to sing because Jungeun and Jiyoon can’t just sing the whole song and Jeemin, Saebi, Mai and Koko’s vocals aren’t as good as Sarang’s. Use your brain

Pushing only one single member isn’t a great idea to put the group out there to the public and will create more discord in the fandoms especially toxic solo stans (you don’t want that to happen in your fandom). How can you give those parts to Jeemin when Jeemin can’t even sing without straining? I’m sorry Jeemin said so herself she can’t sing high notes and Jeemin’s vocal tone doesn’t suit songs like iwaly and fake it. The main priority is that a SONG NEEDS TO SOUND GOOD and Jeemin’s tone isn’t enjoyable to listen to. The line distribution isn’t an issue. It’s Jeemin and her lack of stage presence. Jeemin had the most center time and still didn’t stand out. Sarang’s lines are fine but Sarang’s stage presence is a little better than Jeemin’s. Jiyoon opened with "Fake It," Koko ended it, Jeemin was in the first chorus, and Saebi was in the second. It feels a bit messy. I believe Bang Jeemin should be the center for mature or powerful songs like "Drip," while Saebi would be the center for pure or elegant concepts like "Panorama." 2.Outfits The outfits on the first day were disappointing. They lacked synergy. I completely agree with what you said about Koko’s outfit; her arms should have been uncovered instead of covered. The outfits on day two were definitely better. 3. Saebi I think Saebi has really improved. I watched her "Drip" fancam and thought, "Wow, she did well!" She has outstanding star quality, so I don't understand why she would have to be at the back.

The girls are really living the good life after being selected as final debut members. However, IZNA is managed by WakeOne and the way they mishandled Kep1er makes me concerned that they will do the same with IZNA. Firstly, they missed the deadline for the VISA for KCon LA, despite having 3 weeks between debut and KCon LA. I'm worried that the girls are being poorly managed. Without The Blacklabel, I fear they will be left to train by themselves for 3 months until KCon Germany, hindering their skill development and performance. Additionally, the stylist's choice of colourful outfits that don't match the songs is a letdown and shows a lack of understanding of their music. It's time for a change! 💪🏼❤🔥

i agree on mostly what he said EXCEPT FOR THE BODY SHAMING PART. Yes, the stage looks crowded, maybe the costume plays the big part and small stage, also maybe we are used to iland 2 stages, that they only have 5 members in each group.
The show picked the girls who looks cohesive at stage but they failed to maximize it.
You lost all credibility when you started body shaming the girls, whom, by the way, are teenagers.
This is a pre-debut stage. The songs they performed are from I-land, where we are used to only seeing 4 to 5 members perform. Of course the lines will be redistributed. Of course it will look crowded; we’ve been accustomed to small amount of members because that’s how they were divided in the survival show.
New fans whom never watched I-land are responding positively to their performances, especially the Blackpink fans. So the fact that the fans who’ve followed the show and are disappointed are obviously biased to the solo member they feel partial to.

From what I saw on the Kcon 2024 live stream in Germany and on social media, the Izna group is having a huge success. They had twice as many viewers online on the Kcon live stream, in their promotional videos they are above the others, social media with millions of views. I don't think they are exhausted. I think Jungeun did better overall, with an audible voice, and without breaks, she was very stable, some of them were noticed to be more protected. I agree that the clothes were not appropriate, and they could have managed each one's part better.

Unusual positions, Sarang appeared in new parts, but she wasn't bad. I didn't care much for her, but she surprised me for example. My bias is Jungeun anyway. It's clear that some fans really want IZNA to put the spotlight on Bang Jeemin, always keeping her in the centre to outshine the others. But here's the thing: During I-Land 2, the Drip song was meant for 5 girls and later expanded to 7 after their debut. This meant that the original song distribution had to be adjusted. To maintain a harmonious dynamic within the group, they made the decision to share some of Bang Jeemin's parts with the other members. It's a tough balance to strike, but it's important for the overall cohesiveness of the group. So, while not everyone may be completely satisfied, it's essential to prioritise group harmony. Jeemin is okay tho, she's giving her all if she is in the center and she is good at that. She's making the group look balance by her facial expression and vibes she radiate. Jeemin has a natural aura and she didn't need to have an over facial expression just to stand out.

WakeOne really messed up with the outfits on day one, that is correct, 2nd day was much better, still with minor flaws. I think that on day one the chaotic patterns of the clothing, and some completely absurd choices to have together like Jungeun's baggy black jacket look in the same formation with Saebi's outfit or Koko's was absurd. Whoever made the outfit choices needs to be questioned, it looked utterly unprofessional. I also agree with your point about showing the arms clearly, that is a rookie mistake for the stylists to make, it upsets me greatly as it is such an obvious thing to not do. Again who does WakeOne have dressing the girls? Is that guy even professional?
I fully disagree with your Jeemin center with 6 auxiliary members take. That approach would instantly alienate all the not-onepick Jeemin stans and generate fan wars, something so easy to accomplish with a survival group. You're almost telling them how to self destruct, you should reconsider this point. This is not Wonyoung and Ive, the situation is completely different, the core fanbase has a very different psychology than Ive's. Want to generate a sea of negativity and birth a legion of antifans? Make this group Jeemin + 6 backups.... easy... So that is frankly, suicidal advice for this particular group.
Having said that, I do agree that perhaps a more cohesive center related strategy needs to be implemented. I have thought the choreographies through and I can see how she could have been better utilized with more central presence, but I still do not believe going to the extreme you seem to advocate would be good. A more moderate approach might work. An extreme Jeemin + 6 backups approach? No.
Being realistic about their debut I do not think WakeOne will manage to outdo the Babymonster debut(with all its flaws!!!), that is pretty much a given, and it's wild fantasy to think they would pull that off. But that is ok, not everyone needs to break records. The debut has to be the best it can be, and I agree with you - the girls need to work very hard and not think they've already won by just debuting. I want them to have a great career, and I think that given hard work and some moderate amount of competence from the producing side - and some tough love to have them improve where they are lacking - they can pull it off. Maybe they will go on an Nmixx-like trajectory, who knows? Hopefully everything keeps improving, and they will do better and better.
I don't think he meant Jeemin + 6 backup dancers. David meant Jeemin + 6 auxiliary members who support Jeemin as a center figure. This means through vocals, rap or what-have-you.

I think both his and my language might have been at times perhaps imprecise... this is what can happen when one answers in English (not my primary language) to someone speaking in Korean hahaha. To try to summarize my overall stance on this point would be this: my impression is he is going too much on the extreme end, while I would prefer a more moderate approach. Have Jeemin as more of a focus, and potential main central pivot? Sure. Go that way to the extent I believe he is advocating? No.
Didn't Batter Up flop tho, and isn't Baemon getting surpassed by ILLIT and KISS OF LIFE in terms of charting and stuff. BAEMON is obviously the most talented but like NMIXX, that doesn't guarantee commercial success. In fact, i wouldn't say the biggest girl groups (NEWJEANS, IVE, LESSERAFIM) these days are the most talented, except for AESPA of course.

후코(3픽) 좋아해서 그동안 데이비드님 영상 보기만 하고 별로 공감하진 못했었는데.. 이번 영상 만큼은 님 말이 전부 맞다고 생각해요. 저도 아이랜드2 때의 멤버 모습이 더 매력있다고 느꼈어요. 코디랑 편곡, 표정 전부 다 문제더라고요.. 세비가 너무 튀어보이는 것(표정이나 몸짓이 좀 과하다 생각), 지민이가 이전 무대랑 비교했을 때보다 센터 포스가 나지 않는다는 것도 맞고 이대로 가면 이즈나, 저만 혼자 좋아하는 망돌될거같은거 있죠 ; - ; 아이랜드 2 애청자로서 멤버들 잘 되길 바라는데 말이에요~ 데뷔 무대는 이번에 언급된 문제점을 다 고쳐서 완벽하고 예쁘게 나왔으면 좋겠어요. 이즈나 화이팅 ^-^

Sarang’s height is a factor that makes her at a disadvantage between all the members so putting her in an outfit that’s a little bit different from others helps.
Also I hate how people think she’s being pushed just because of the line distribution. I’m sorry but was she supposed to be a backup dancer?? Jiyoon had the most lines overall with 83 seconds. Sarang only had 62 seconds. This is a SEVEN member girl group. Everyone needs to let go this stupid I-Land2 nostalgia. Lines need to be shared. Sarang got the “leave you with love” part in IWALY because not only does it have her name but her vocal tone suits it. Many people complimented her at Kcon. These Jiyoon stans need to move on. The hate is so forced.
Saebi had the most center time including Jeemin. Although both of them had the least line distribution. Saebi is a great performer and her facial expressions keeps you interested while Jeemin struggles to do so especially her facial expressions. It’s a little too bland. It feels like Jeemin doesn’t stand out when Saebi is there. Debuting both of them in the same group wasn’t a great decision. If Jeemin wants to stand out she needs to out perform Saebi. Saebi is her biggest competition.
Also the outfits were bad. The outfits decreased the value of the stage. They were so dull and looked so cheap.
Anyways Jungeun, Sarang and Saebi stood out the most to me

Sarang wasn’t even center for her high note or Jiyoon for some of her lines it was always Jeemin or Saebi in the center.
It’s nostalgia because most people want this “iconic” moment from Jiyoon. But in reality it’s only iconic to I-Land2 watchers. Outside of I-Land2 nobody knows she even sang that line and many praised Sarang for doing it. Sarang did the high note well and was heavily praised during Kcon. The only people arguing with it are you Jiyoon stans and I-Land2 watchers who refuse to acknowledge the line because you’re so stuck up with what Jiyoon did in the past. What happened in I-Land2 should stay in I-Land2. Sarang got the line. Producers chose it for her. Jiyoon can’t have every line. She already has a HUGE line distribution. Stop being selfish

I think they need to restructure the members. There needs to be a clear identity. Jeemin should be Center all across the board. Jiyoon and Jungeon main vocalist. Koko main dancer, Mai and Saebi as visuals sub vocals that add to the charm. And Sarang can be that filler members for vocals and rap. I think keeping the top 3 members as the center of the songs would be best because the 3 J’s have more aura to them. Pushing them aside for the sake of fair line distribution will do the group as a whole a disservice
Do you understand how degrading it is to consider Sarang as a filler member when she’s arguably the most talented amongst them all and literally VVN and Leejung considered her The Allrounder. She literally has one of the top vocals, dance, visuals and stage presence then there’s people like you considering her as a filler member. So rude she’s up for a main rap position, there can be more than 2 main vocalists in a group and she’s also a very good dancer.

Sarang not appearing in the center will make it look like she’s not part of the group. Remember she’s short. You need to highlight her a little more because she’s already at a huge disadvantage due to height. Leave Sarang alone

Jungeun stood out. Jeemin had more screentime than all the members combined. A center distribution was calculated and Jeemin had the most time as center. Just because Sarang and Saebi stand out doesn’t mean they’re being pushed. Those two have great stage presence also Jungeun had more vocal lines than Sarang. Jungeun had 81 seconds and Sarang only got 66 seconds. Koko rapped and she did dance. This hate for Saebi and Sarang needs to stop. It’s not their fault your favourites struggled to stand out.

The line distribution was fine. No need to shorten Sarang’s parts. Who else is going to sing because Jungeun and Jiyoon can’t just sing the whole song and Jeemin, Saebi, Mai and Koko’s vocals aren’t as good as Sarang’s. Use your brain

Pushing only one single member isn’t a great idea to put the group out there to the public and will create more discord in the fandoms especially toxic solo stans (you don’t want that to happen in your fandom).

Second, the formation makes the stage look full? Isn’t it a good thing to have the stage not feel too empty?

Also IZNA doesn’t NEED to be a Top 5th gen GG. Just have a core stable fandoms and starts to gradually grow from there to win the public and other Kpop fans. It’s hard to be the top when there is Baemon, ILLIT, and soon SMNGG…just focus on doing well on their own and they’ll be fine.

It worked for IVE. It worked for Blackpink in their rookie days. It’s working for Baby Monster right now. Pushing one member is good so that they become insanely popular then it’ll gradually cause more people to be interested in the rest of the members. It’s a great method actually but has a lot of disadvantages with it
@@revertchronicles29 IVE already has Annyeongz with their IZ*ONE popularity. Blackpink members all have so much hype since debut (Jennie and Lisa getting more but still all are getting focus). Baemon has Ahyeon getting pushed in Korea but others especially Chiquita is also getting a lot of push too internationally.
It’s fine to push for some amount of members, SNSD had Taeyeon/Yoona combo in early days but pushing just one member and only one member cause more harm than good.

The playing field isn’t empty. She can be on the side , you always captivate by heR , SHE'S GOOD PERFORMER . In Iland even if she not center , you notice her , like in 4 WALLS , in whistle , La vie en rose . How can you give those parts to Jeemin when Jeemin can’t even sing without straining? I’m sorry Jeemin said so herself she can’t sing high notes and Jeemin’s vocal tone doesn’t suit songs like iwaly and fake it. The main priority is that a SONG NEEDS TO SOUND GOOD and Jeemin’s tone isn’t enjoyable to listen to. The line distribution isn’t an issue. It’s Jeemin and her lack of stage presence. Jeemin had the most center time and still didn’t stand out. Sarang’s lines are fine but Sarang’s stage presence is a little better than Jeemin’s. The issue here is Jeemin’s lack of ability to stand out. She needs to work on her stage presence and facial expressions. Changing the line distribution won’t do anything. Saebi got the least lines out of all members and still stood out. The issue here is Bang Jeemin

I’m not going to comment on people’s height or weight because it’s unnecessary.
1. Center
I think there are too many people having center parts and it doesn’t look good. Jiyoon opened with "Fake It," Koko ended it, Jeemin was in the first chorus, and Saebi was in the second. It feels a bit messy. I believe Bang Jeemin should be the center for mature or powerful songs like "Drip," while Saebi would be the center for pure or elegant concepts like "Panorama."
2.Outfits
The outfits on the first day were disappointing. They lacked synergy. I completely agree with what you said about Koko’s outfit; her arms should have been uncovered instead of covered. The outfits on day two were definitely better.
3. Saebi
I think Saebi has really improved. I watched her "Drip" fancam and thought, "Wow, she did well!" She has outstanding star quality, so I don't understand why she would have to be at the back.

특히 디씨 아랜갤러인가 싶을 정도로 사랑이 키와 지윤이 살을 강조하며 까내리는데, 이미 멤버들과 키 차이가 어느 정도 나는 건 모두가 알고있고, 그 간극을 메우려 신었던 통굽마저 신기지 말라하면 어쩌라는건지...? 한번 정해져서 멤버들과 소속사가 노력으로 변화할 수 없는 부분들 조차도 한숨쉬며 까는 건 그냥 아직 데뷔하기 전이니 알아서 나가라는 말로 밖에 안 들리네요

아이랜드2를 방청하고 이즈나를 정말 응원하던 입장에서 솔직히 베몬을 저도모르게 의식하고? 있었는데 뭐 아직 이즈나의 정식 데뷔는 아직 아니지만 역시 베몬의 실력과 퍼포먼스가 훨씬 넘사벽이라는걸 느낍니다. 얘기하신 의상도 예를 보면 베몬이 뛰어나다고 생각나네요.
