Tia saying she doesn't know how to tap, while Tia summons demons with her tap riff.
For me, it’s the Barber Tone Press! The Accountant is awesome too though, I’ve owned it as well. Fairfield makes some amazing pedals.
we'll check out the Barber, thanks for the recommendation!!
@@WorkingClassMusic ah do it!! I’d be interested to hear your thoughts! It was my first compressor, then I went to the Accountant, then to an Earthquaker Warden, then back to the Tone Press. All great compressors!
Killer review as always! Best new pedal show out there!
After trying out several different compressors, I now have and love the FFC Acct. This one appealed to me precisely because of its character-which all FFC have in abundance-e.g. it is not transparent, which many compressors boast as an attribute. Thanks for this excellent demonstration, which aligns perfectly with my experience with it.
It's early Sunday morning and I'll be working all through the weekend (sucks), but this video already made my day! Great playing, surprised by the sounds, and good laughs along the way. Thanks you guys ❤️🤘🏼
I love your channel and your reviews. Both of you are great guitarists imho. Keep bringing the reviews!
Ok, dammit. Saying you sold a pedal of 3 years for it convinced me. My cleanish tone is everything to me and I’ve been curious of these forever. I hear they’re noisy but charming. I like to think of myself similarly.
Tia is amazing! Great video, thanks to you both for making it.
Fairfield just gets effects in a really unique way
they really do tho
Really digging the channel and appreciate the demo. I'm rebuilding my pedal board and may just give up and fill it all with Fairfield stuff 🤷🏻♂️.
Also, nice shirt man!
Awesome take on an excellent comp!
Awesome to be finding y’all! Thanks for making these! Good to be meeting you. Will you please share your guitar makes and your complete line? Amps, other pedals, mics, interface, etc? Maybe in the description for each video? Would be helpful for me!
This is certainly the best mini compressor out there (look at how cute and vibey it is!). Only compressor I like the sound of more than this is the EQD Warden, which I've seen on so many math-rock boards (Yvett Young from Covet, both guitarists from CHON) and even Matt Pike's board (Sleep, High on Fire) as specifically always-on and turned sideways between the top and bottom pedalboard rows.
Super vibey compressor, sounds great! Also, big fan of Tia's playing on this and that Strat looks and sounds awesome.
great channel, subbed! love me some Fairfield, considering this one for a funk band i just linked up with
Jason's shirt FTW. Pretty sure that's what my parents thought I was doing in my teens when I'd listen to music and try to figure out the songs on my guitar. I'm sure obtaining a single distortion pedal only confirmed their suspicions.
Ok guys...mine just arrived today. I will confirm that this review kinda sold me on it a few months ago. They aren't that easy to find out here and are often sold out anyway...but after some years of thinking 🤣🤣🤣about a compressor, you guys finally got me to pull the trigger.
I've just connected it to my board, not 100% sure where it will sit, but now it's sitting 3rd in line just before my Browne amp T4 fuzz. I was expecting small, but next to the T4 it looks tiny. How cool. 👍😎
Not long back from work... And time to play now.
Cheers guys. 🎶🎶🎶
Yall are the best!
Nice review, this pedal is dope.
I really like the way you edited the video.
And great t.shirt ! :)
Glad you enjoy it!
Just bit the bullet on this. Great review!
Thank you great demo. I replaced my very new Keeley Mini with this. Not sorry.
Lol thanks y'all now I get to drool over yet *another* Fairfield pedal XD (ps: love ur pedal reviews u guyz!)
thanks so much buddy!
we really appreciate the support!
This is a great review of an underappreciated effect in general, and what appears to be a fine pedal in particular. I really really REALLY love my four-knob Keeley on my bass board, but would definitely consider adding this one to my guitar rig (so I can stop borrowing the Keeley for when I want to use it on my guitar).
*good stuff*
I used to turn my nose up at mini pedals, how wrong was i?!. I am looking at upgrading my old compressor and have been blown away by the clarity this thing creates. Great vid guys, keep up the good work.
glad we could change your mind buddy
Realized I never thanked y'all for this video-it was the first one where I felt like I got a good sense of the gritty character so I went for it not long after you dropped this review. Absolutely my go-to compressor now and I never turn it off!
Nissssssssssssssssssce 🍻
I feel compressors work best with single coils...
I've always understood why I'm supposed to need one; never seem to be able to use it in real life properly tho.
well keep at it buddy. maybe it'll click for you one of these days.
*thanks for the comment*
Amazing!! 👍
Thanks so much
I just ordered a shirt. You guys deserve more subscribers. Which is not to imply my wearing a shirt will bring you more subscribers. I may have a negative draw, tbh. But to anyone who asks, I will rep your show to the max. Which may also have a negative effect. I can be socially awkward.
thanks for buying some merch!
you'll wear it well buddy
@@WorkingClassMusic I always look good so people will think I'm really cool and aloof when I'm really just anxious in social settings. I think I might turn that into a song lyric.
I've always heard that sub octave pedals like EQD Bit Commander, MXR Sub Machine, or Boss OC-2 type effects track better if you place a compressor pedal before them. Can y'all do like a compressed/uncompressed sub octave pedal video that attempts to demonstrate this?
Nice review - 👏👏👏 thanks 😊
A BLACK GEAR/PEDAL CHANNEL?!?!?!?1 I AM EEEEELLLLLLAAAATTTTTTEDDDDD. BLESS YOU
welcome aboard buddy
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
For me (so far) it’s this or the Diamond Comp Jr.
*noice*
we'll have to check that one out!
@@WorkingClassMusic they are very different from each other. But both great. Unfortunately I think Diamond just went out of business so some of their pedals are going up in price.
Soccer Mommy!
oh thank god you posted this. i was going insane trying to remember
All I'm saying is Mr. WiggleStick had better stay out of my neighbourhood. We got lots of kids around here.
LOL
I wish it was cheaper. It's 245 in my country...
Mitch match hardware 👌🏾
we love a good mod round these parts
@@WorkingClassMusic Just did something similar to my strat too🤠 Yeehaw!
What other compressors have y'all used before? This one sounds pretty damn noisy...
Keeley
Strymon
boss
And yes the DynaComp sucks.
