You are so right,..use to just love seeing him on Bewitched,..he's the main reason I would watch,..him playing as Samantha's uncle was priceless,..there's a scene where she I think asked him how he was doing, and huh, he said his feet were killing him,..and as he said it,..two guns magically appeared atop both feet,..shooting up at him,..a crazy gag joke,..just too crazy,..Paul Lynde, always had a hilarious quip, reply,..comeback,..just always had me in stitches,..sorely missed,.Rip,..Godspeed, Peace ✌

The guy was a genius. Wouldn't last one night on TV these days.
I interviewed Paul in 1980, a little less than 2 years before his death. One of the kindest, sweetest -- and funniest --- people I ever met. He was drunk (as he was much of the time back then) but his comic timing and wit were as sharp as ever. His thinly veiled references to his homosexuality were hilarious, of course, and it was an open secret in Hollywood that he was gay. But it's a shame he had to hide it from the wider public. I have a feeling he would have been a much happier man in this day and age, when being gay isn't the career-ender it was back then.

One of Paul Lynde's signature catchphrases is "Because chiffon wrinkles!" On the end of an episode of Hollywood Squares (H2), MC Hammer and Mario Cantone both did imitations of Paul Lynde saying, "Because chiffon wrinkles!"

How much time has gone by. The question he asked Paul Lynde about when Ann-Margret turned 30 this year. Ann-Margret is still here today, now over 80 years old.
