You could also do Asus Cloud Recovery through the bios, It restores the original but a more updated factory image , e.g 24H2 , then debloat thereafter.
Happy to say that I bought the '24 G14 because of you! Thanks for the great review/unboxing videos you've posted. Looking forward to more tutorials like these too!
I just did this yesterday! Definitely was nervous after seeing that SSD shroud (never seen that before) and odd battery connector. I spent a bunch of time figuring out how to disconnect the battery first, but ultimately read online that there is a metal component that can short the whole board if it touches. Was able to Clone my 1TB to a 2TB SN850x, works great so far.
Amazing video bro, congratulations on the upgrade. I'm thinking of buying a 2TB SSD for my Rog Zephyrus G16 (2024). Can you tell me if he has another m2 SSD slot? I want to buy a 2TB one, so I'll keep 3TB, counting on the 1TB that Zephyrus already has in me
@ I’m currently using the WD BLACK (w/o heatsink). I had to get the 8TB for obs recordings (dual pc) and partitioned 1gb for some games on the go. I was skeptical at first because of dual side. But it sit flushed. I was able to use it for what I’m doing without a problem.
Hey guys I just did this with my g16 and 990 pro aswell, this video was awesome but for anyone doing this I recommend unplugging the battery first, its not necessary but heard horror stories of people dropping the ssd screw and shorting the motherboard. I was scared but its super easy, theres a metal clip you unhook from the cable then you just pull it up. You can watch a g16 un-assembly vid on youtube if nervous.
what I would've done is take the graphite sheet off of the old ssd and put it on the new one, or put a thermal pad on the new one. probably won't make any difference but these drives run extremely hot and doing something so simple to have larger heat capacity is definitely worth it in the long run
Thanks for this video. Did you find a list of supported single sided SSDs. It would be great if you could share some more options other than the 990 pro.
Can you do it a large video for begginers on how to save the drivers, jow to make a copy of windows etc and also tje version of 4tb of the same ssd will work ?
Please help me . I can't decide which laptop should I buy. With discounts there are zeyphrus g14 2024 16gb ram , 1tb ssd and 4060 is 1200 and zeyphrus g16 2023 16gb ram , 1tb ssd i7 13620h/ 4070 is 1250. I worry about g14 doesn't have extra slot for upgrade ram but other hand it has great display. G 16 have 4070 is a point but I don't know if this could directly affect for buy g16. What do you think?
Hmmm it basically comes down to whether you prefer a bigger or smaller display :) The 2024 G14 is more compact, has better build quality, speakers, screen, battery life, and CPU. But the G16 has a better screen and GPU.
@MrKinglyGaming They're very close to eachother. I compared the G14 to both the Intel and AMD G16 if you want the long answer :) ua-cam.com/video/EdFsoJhIxY0/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/SfQ9svJ_p-8/v-deo.html

Yes, the G16 has an extra M.2 slot.
@@crimsontechyt Thank you bro, Merry Christmas ;)
@@EiCuriosoEspanol Merry Christmas, and a happy new year!
I can confirm my 8TB fits no problem and that’s double sided. No issues whatsoever.
And it works with no issue? What SSD are you using?

To add on to that, I used the anti static shielding envelope that was on the stock nvme the g14 came with.
@@ayebrian Thank you, I'm going to go look into that for my G14.
@ sounds good! Hope it works out well 🙏
Thank you!! ❤
much love for the video
«Какой многообещающий звук» 😅😂 4:54
Exactly what I need, I was planning to do a clone, not sure what;s the difference between this and a fresh windows install
here when it said 5 minutes ago
thanks, I finally got my courage to change to a SK Hynix Gold P31 with 2TB :D

Awsome!❤
Awesome video, thanks
Nice video bro. Can you recommend a productive office laptop with most efficient performance.
Probably any laptop with the new Intel 200 CPU :)
Hey, should i like throw the 1tb one then?
No I wouldn't throw it away, that's worth some money haha
Wifi card upgrade video please 🙏🏽
It's pretty much the same as for the SSD :o
Thanks dude, do you think that we can do something similar with the ram?
No, unfortunately you can't upgrade the RAM on the 2024 model :(
Nice vid. Could you make one for cleaning the fans or repasting the chip?

It just supports every single sided ssd :)
Considering this for my first computer bachelor, whats ur take regarding this case [specially battery]
Edit: S14 is on my list as well
Let's do it for Tuf a14 dual ssd too and compare the performance when dual ssd!

when legion 7i vs g16 would love to see that video
Thanks!
Should i get G14 or G16? I want to play some AAA title games but mostly be playing mmorpg rocket league etc aswell as fortnite.
If you like a bigger screen, get the G16. If you like a more compact laptop, get the G14 :)
@ performance don’t matter between the two?
@MrKinglyGaming They're very close to eachother. I compared the G14 to both the Intel and AMD G16 if you want the long answer :)

Hey man,
Do think an 8 terabyte one sided ssd will come out soon?
Or should I stick with terabyte?
I couldn't find 8 terabytes rn.
Hmm there are 4TB single sided SSDs, but the 8TB ones are still really expensive. So i dont really know :/
@crimsontechyt alright,
Guess I'll stick with the 4 terabytes for now
