    You could also do Asus Cloud Recovery through the bios, It restores the original but a more updated factory image , e.g 24H2 , then debloat thereafter.

    I just did this yesterday! Definitely was nervous after seeing that SSD shroud (never seen that before) and odd battery connector. I spent a bunch of time figuring out how to disconnect the battery first, but ultimately read online that there is a metal component that can short the whole board if it touches. Was able to Clone my 1TB to a 2TB SN850x, works great so far.

    Amazing video bro, congratulations on the upgrade. I'm thinking of buying a 2TB SSD for my Rog Zephyrus G16 (2024). Can you tell me if he has another m2 SSD slot? I want to buy a 2TB one, so I'll keep 3TB, counting on the 1TB that Zephyrus already has in me

      Thank you :)
      Yes, the G16 has an extra M.2 slot.

    I can confirm my 8TB fits no problem and that’s double sided. No issues whatsoever.

    • @Deac0n_Blues
      @Deac0n_Blues День тому

      And it works with no issue? What SSD are you using?

    • @ayebrian
      @ayebrian День тому +1

      @ I’m currently using the WD BLACK (w/o heatsink). I had to get the 8TB for obs recordings (dual pc) and partitioned 1gb for some games on the go. I was skeptical at first because of dual side. But it sit flushed. I was able to use it for what I’m doing without a problem.

    • @ayebrian
      @ayebrian День тому +1

      To add on to that, I used the anti static shielding envelope that was on the stock nvme the g14 came with.

    Hey guys I just did this with my g16 and 990 pro aswell, this video was awesome but for anyone doing this I recommend unplugging the battery first, its not necessary but heard horror stories of people dropping the ssd screw and shorting the motherboard. I was scared but its super easy, theres a metal clip you unhook from the cable then you just pull it up. You can watch a g16 un-assembly vid on youtube if nervous.

    what I would've done is take the graphite sheet off of the old ssd and put it on the new one, or put a thermal pad on the new one. probably won't make any difference but these drives run extremely hot and doing something so simple to have larger heat capacity is definitely worth it in the long run

    Please help me . I can't decide which laptop should I buy. With discounts there are zeyphrus g14 2024 16gb ram , 1tb ssd and 4060 is 1200 and zeyphrus g16 2023 16gb ram , 1tb ssd i7 13620h/ 4070 is 1250. I worry about g14 doesn't have extra slot for upgrade ram but other hand it has great display. G 16 have 4070 is a point but I don't know if this could directly affect for buy g16. What do you think?

    • @crimsontechyt
      @crimsontechyt  2 дні тому

      Hmmm it basically comes down to whether you prefer a bigger or smaller display :)
      The 2024 G14 is more compact, has better build quality, speakers, screen, battery life, and CPU.
      But the G16 has a better screen and GPU.
