How is Vietnam in 2022? In today's video I will bring you around Ho chi Min City (Saigon) and I will answer this question for you.
We are going to live a super intense day in Ho Chi Min (Saigon) and I will show you some of the most popular things to do and see. Including an “only man” massage spa. 😜
So sit back, relax and enjoy this video.
Thanks for watching and I wish you a beautiful day! :)
    Gabi
    P.S.
Stay tuned because in the next 2 videos I will show you:
    - the nightlife in ho chi min (saigon)
    - renting a motorbike and starting a motorbike trip in Vietnam
Also check out my last vlog in Ho Chi Min City:

Hello Gabi! a quick question if you don't mind, but I've been thinking about traveling to Vietnam for 1 month in August 10th to September 10th more or less, planning to visit the entire of Vietnam, North and South, but the only problem I have is the weather, I heard it's rainy a lot in Aug and Sep? so I'm not sure if it's a good time to visit :O so I'd like to hear your opinion, like what should I do? should I still go for it? or perhaps change plans or just wait next year or whatever? also thank you so much again for your time and for your information, it's helped me a lot! =D

I lived and worked in VN for 10 yrs but moved back to the States for more than 8 yrs now and I miss riding scooters in VN a great deal. Although I had transportation privilege, I chose to buy a Honda Spacey and loved riding that thing. I miss having my girlfriend snuggle tightly behind me whispering or talking or laughing next to me, we'd smell something good or see something interesting and just ride up the sidewalk to check it out, being able to blend in with the fellow riders surrounding me and can hear their chat, seeing children look up to ask their parents some questions, the feeling of freedom and go into alleys and small streets. It's hard to describe. Having said that Gabi, stay the hell away from buses and trucks, those guys are maniacs, even local Vietnamese keep a distance from those guys. Ride safely, stay safe and look forward to seeing your videos in VN.

I'll be there next month. Looking at visiting Saigon, Da Nang, Hoi An and Ha Noi.
Some places worth a visit, the museum is good . Try the rooftop bar at Caravelle Hotel, famous stopover for journalists and War correspondents during Vietnam War. I used to visit on ship when I was at sea and the river traffic is busy or used to be. Great waterfront. Enjoying your Videos. Diolch 👍

Great video Gabi. It bought back some nice memories of my trips to HCMC. If you have time I recommend a day trip to the Can Gio Biosphere Reserve (aka Monkey Island). The primary attraction is a huge mangrove pool filled with giant crocodiles. There's also some Viet Cong historical sites with a camp and mannequins set up as a re-enactment of the past times. Safe travels.

Sounds like you were pretty lucky with the weather Gabi. I stayed in D7 for a month in May and it rained quite a bit. I hope you had chili sauce and hoisin sauce with your Pho. I think it needs that kick but I guess that's subjective. IMO a decent pho restaurant provides a decent side dish of greens. I love the combo of bean shoots greens and sauces to the mix. I paid around 80K for a big bowl of pho every second day. II like Banh mi op la which is the version with egg. Couldn't readily get it in D7 but paid 25K for a Korean hybrid which included meat but no egg. Super popular with the locals. Never seen a lady at a banh mi stand work so hard. My only advice is avoid Saigon November through to February if you can as the air pollution is bad in Winter there. Hopefully they will finally open the metro and provide some relief.

    •  2 роки тому

I agree :v Actually Ben Thanh market is infamous for selling T-shirts to foreigners at very high prices compared to local stores (the locals almost never buy T-shirts there). But 200.000đ for 2 T-shirts is a completely great price to obtain. What a bargain!

Wondering how much laptops cost in Vietnam. Just a basic Acer laptop in Philippines and Acer 15" screen cost around 500 us dollars, same thing in USA is 250 us dollars. Also thinking about getting a lady tour guide to take me to different stores and places, not for sex just to show me the good stores and restraunts and places. Have no idea how much a tour guide would cost I'll be there in august, the 3rd week of August for 3 days. I'm 64. You have to leave the Philippines 1 time every 3 years so it's my visa run. I already have a girl in Philippines so not looking for that. All my clothes have holes, need to buy new ones. Want to eat at McDonald's, don't have fast food on the island where I live.

Why is that a rip off? If he's in district 1, things will cost more. And if he thinks it's too much, he can bargain down the price.
