  • Persian gardens have a long and distinguished history in Persian culture, symbolizing beauty, tranquility, and paradise. This video explores the Delgosha Garden, a 2,000-year-old garden built in the Sassanid period in the city of Shiraz. The Sassanid period preceded the arrival of Islam in Iran, during which time Zoroastrianism was the dominant religion.
The Delgosha Garden has undergone many changes over the centuries, including restorations during the Zand, Safavid, and Qajar dynasties. It is now one of the most popular tourist destinations in Shiraz.

How I would love to spend time there. But alas, I'm an American. But, that doesn't prevent me from loving Iranian culture with its magnificent past. Isfahan, Shiraz, and Persepolis are in my thoughts almost daily. Thank you for these videos. ❤
