I totally agree the Airmatic (air suspension) is essential, hence why I wish it was standard, with the option being the road scan cameras (stereo cameras) which coupled together with the air suspension can give a world class ride which Mercedes is known for...however the “Magic Body Control” is NOT available in the GLC, not even as an option. Mercedes have the technology, but do not make it available. I’m happy to pay for it...just PLEASE Mercedes let your customers at least have the choice. I have reasons for not wanting the GLE....it’s too big. Mercedes made a mistake by not making this available in the GLC. I have air suspension in my 2008 V221 S320 CDi, it’s “ok”, but I know the Magic body control is exactly what I want.
Just upgrade to a GLE then and you get a gorgeous display that dominates half the cockpit. But not everyone has that kind of money of course and this strikes the perfect balance for this price point entry.
Have driven a new GLC 200 recently. The ride is not good at all. The standard suspension cannot handle imperfections, potholes, bridge joins etc, especially on country roads at speed. The vehicle also bounces around like a boat on bad roads. Not what I’d expect from a vehicle pushing $90k!

this model suffers from horrible crabbing in the RHD variant, was this fixed in the facelift?
