Black Ghost Is A Malignant Merchant of Death

- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- This is a video consisting of a compilation of scenes featuring one extravagant villain from my memories, the monstrous arms dealer and madman, Black Ghost (voiced by Richard Epcar), from the 2001 show, Cyborg 009. He proved to be an amusing villain due to his desire to spread destruction and death throughout the world for the sake of his business in arms dealing and overall misanthropy. I also enjoyed the notion that evil can be tethered with the flaws of human nature and how it is not so easy to defeat evil in the modern world. Hope you enjoy him as a much as I did.

Black ghost, the anime version of Cobra Commander. Well done Emptyman.
hes 87000 times better tho
House Anaconda, are you saying that simply because it’s anime? What’s great about a lot of classic manga works is that while they have signatures of their cultures they are least can stand together much better along side works from around the world, compared to a lot of modern works from manga and anime, even some western works, especially due to how mor appealing it can be to a child while still conveying realistic and serious problems in some shape or form without covering it with something like “power of love or power of friendship alone” based on how these worlds are write non, just one could be its hero, one can be the many positive villains within it, some bad, some even worse, in all shapes and form, through all genres and concepts while still conveying its story well and giving a message, and acknowledging the concepts or implying them decently explicit, Cobra Commander would be able to put much as a fight against the Cyborgs as Black Ghost. Sorry for the paragraph, I just felt like explaining and I had the time to do so at the moment.
decades older than cobra commander actually.
more like if cobra commander was a power ranger villain
Holy cow, it's one of my favorite anime. This is nostalgia, right here. Too bad the Skull Man became a real bastard.... I liked him better when he was a Kamen Rider.
Too bad he doesn’t remember who he was once was..
Are you sure Skull (aka Scarl, Sekar) was a Kamen Rider and not some renegade Foundation X Dopant using the Skull Gaia Memory who thinks he's a cyborg? It happened with that one guy who thought he was the original Doctor Shinigami (aka Doctor Reaper) but turned out to be hopped up on a Doctor Shinigami Gaia Memory.
@@drixg555 He was neither. He was originally the Skull Man.
@@Levitz9 That makes it even worse. Black Ghost basically desecrated his corpse to create another one of their monsters.
Yo what is this show? This ghost dude straight laser beamed a dude and burned him to death
Cyborg 009. Watch it, it's amazing.
Cyborg 009 read the manga and watch the anime cuz its old school style meets 2000's anime style.
A villain from the era I was born in
Thanks for the memory check
Black Ghost is Darth Vader Level Goat
What amazes me is that Skull resembles Darth Vader, yet Vader came AFTER him. 💀
The manga came out in the 50's to the 60's from my knowledge
@@maymay5600 1964, 11 years before Vader debuted
Not sure why they decided to call Skull "Black Ghost" like his organisation in the US dub, but, whatever: hearing 009 sound like Fry from Futurama just overcomes that by miles :D
You gotta love a good arms dealer. Another great character of which thanks to you i am now aware of. Well done!
Probably the most fucked villain ever
I think Black Ghost/Skull might of been the organization's first cyborg.
You can tell right off the bat he’s also Myotismon
I am pretty sure the next Black Ghost is either Foundation X or SHOCKER. SHOCKER is the most likely candidate given the true nature of their Great Leader.
Like shotaro ishimori universe?
Bro Black Ghost is Raiden... wtffffffffffffffff
So Black Ghost is a cyborg?
I thought he was an alien when i was a kid
He might be, the three brains are from outer space so he might be too.
Cartoonking1 maybe
I don't know if you know the answer but he was once an anti hero. He was a human who got lost his mind because of that helmet that he hear
Archave I don’t think that’s the same Skullman
For once when I were young, I'd thought he died at "I'll kill all of you. No!!" part, but barely I was wrong.
13:55
I thought he say "Aw Q of you!".
Spot the Difference:
Lord Raiden: I must consult with the Elder Gods.
Skull: You can consult with your Elder Gods...IN HELL!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
21:13. Hakaider reference?
Thank God for Richard "Walhart Ansem Xemnas Mansex" Epcar.
He doesn't voice Xemnas.
@@Vigriff no, but he voices Ansem.
Hey, are we forgetting Myotismon?!
Also, Yhwch on Bleach.
I love this show's soundtrack
This guy and Archanfel from the Guyver series were and still are my top 2 favorite anime villains, just because of how much of a threat they were to the world and their own soldiers & subordinates
Indeed. It's a shame the anime Archanfel got so little exposure. Can't make a video for him.
Not enough scenes or copyright
@@tayojones9460 Both.
@@EmptyMan000such an underrated villain do you know who else deserves attention, Dr Jeremiah Surd from the real adventures of Jonny Quest
I forgot how cheesy the dialogue in this could get. Still that doesn't hurt how well it does everything else. We've got a team of heroes with different powers and the series did a much better job making the entire cast useful than I have seen other animes do with a smaller cast.
Though I have to ask what was the point of the three brains? Black Ghost/Skull had been set up as our ultimate symbol of evil with his amoral creations of cyborgs and manipulation of wars, and in the end tries to cause a third world war. Then out of nowhere we hear he has superiors? What was the point?
dragonstormx He was the mascot so to speak, their speaker, the brains were the Founders and literally brains behind the whole thing.
The cheesy dialog fits with how retro this whole series was, admittedly.
@@ShadowSonic2 Sometimes it was a bit overboard but generally I feel it's part of the charm. Our main villain chewing the scenery while relishing in how evil he is makes him a real treat to watch. Even with the cheesy dialogue the series does still manage to make the people we are meant to sympathize with feel human.
Dragonstormx realistically his threats are far more believable than the time “realism” has led to people and characters simply saying messed up shit, Black Ghost is straight to the point, like some sort of smart general or politician. He’s like Cobra Commander from the toy line from Hasbro.
Given his origins, I kind of want to see Kamen Rider Ichigo fight this guy.
I Agree with the 999,999 UA-cam-Likers on UA-cam, Black Ghost is my Favorite Villain, and I Love Him So Much. :-D
I remember watching this show a few times and then I found some episodes that went past the mythology episodes by chance.
FUCKING AWESOME ANIME way too underrated.
That Awesome UA-cam Video Made My Day.
I completely forgot about this episode, 009 got his hands kicked severely.
Honestly this video introduced me to this anime and this character, apparently I’ve looked up an interesting fact about Black Ghost and his organization, apparently, in the original manga, the names were swapped, for some reason, this anime decided to switch him.
Wow, Myotismon got quite a makeover, eh?
Lord Raiden?
richard epcar
Skull is really Cobra Commander!
Black ghost the name of the organization this dude is named skull
In the English dub the name was interchangeable, so I went with that.
Black Ghost sounds better anyway. More intimidating and sinister.
@@EmptyMan000 ok I understand
5:57 illuminati confirmed
Or Skull if you follow the Japanese dub.
Black ghost is the name of the organization the leader is named skull
In the English dub the name was interchangeable, so I went with that.
@@EmptyMan000 Yes, Black Ghost is better name for villain than Skull
11:26 JoJo viewer called out
Empror Zurg:I thought my plans were going great
Skull:do I look like a joke to you
Go, Black Ghost, Go!
This is Awesome.
this is the kind of villain id have as an arch enemy
It’s sad that Skull was in previous version of its own adaptation, a hero
"I used to be a reporter like you, then I took a skull mask from my friend"
SUCH MACHINATIONS...THIS WAS PRECISELY HIS INTENTION...
Long Live Evil!
Raiden
Am i the only who think his eyes looks ridiculous ?
mostly you are
@@alexander-vk1rz 3 years ago looks like yesterday…
@@De_Shelby I hope you are doing well. I mean that, even if we are only on the internet.
Did they cut his brain getting fried?
What anime is this
Cyborg 009. The 2001 series to be exact, there have been multiple incarnations.
Black ghost is like Zant
13:14 Armada?
12:00 Rider KIIIIICK! Wait wrong Ishinomori series
It's kind of hard to take skull seriously when you realized he's voiced by bobobo
And Raiden
@@symfonio but bobobos more ridiculous
He also voice Batou, Myotismon and The Joker
@@tayojones9460 he voiced myotismon?
@@thundertits Yup, back in the original Digimon anime and at the end of the second Digimon anime.
Black Ghost really had the nastiest Hands in the world.
was black ghost always a cyborg?
It's not clear but implied
@@buttheadnocht Well by definition at one point he was a human since he has a human brain, though evil and eventually allowed himself to become a cyborg
In the Skullman anime, he was originally a human who inherited the identity and powers of the mysterious Skullman. After he sacrificed his life and his powers, the Black Ghost organization found his dead body and turned him into the sinister cyborg known as Skull. With no memory of his former life, he now serves Black Ghost and its goal of perpetuating war across the globe.
