I've shared one of my 3 pregnancies at 4 weeks because I'd lost the one before that, and I couldn't handle thinking that my baby would be forgotten if I lost that one too. That was the only baby that made it home with me. 💗 I lost another one after my rainbow baby, and I didn't share that one either.
I'm pro sharing whatever you feel comfortable with. I'm so proud of you sharing so early, It was super freeing for me with my rainbow baby.

thankyou for touching on early loss in the beginning. I lost my first pregnancy and i felt so alone because we hadn't announced and not many people knew but i was absolutely devastated as wed been trying for 2 years.
Im so sorry, this made me tear up just reading it. Thats my biggest fear but if it happens i will find a way to continue and try again. What seems like the worst part of it is all the work your body went through just to have to start over :(

I am pro-annoucing early! I know people who have lost their babies at all stages and waiting until birth is clearly not feasible! Your baby is loved by you and whether it sticks or not you already love that baby and that baby is changing things and changing your world and will always be a part of you! Don't ever let anyone tell you it was risky to say anything. I pray that your baby grows healthy and that you have a safe pregnancy and delivery! If the worst does happen, we will be here to support you in whatever way we can. I am excited for you and I am proud of you for doing what you felt you should!!!
Congestion can be a symptom in pregnancy, I haven't been pregnant in awhile so I don't know what is safe to take for it, in the meantime I believe something like vicks vaporub can be sniffed to help clear your sinuses (read the label or ask the pharmacist, pharmacists know if things are safe and can offer alternatives!), or use a netti pot!!

I’ve lost my son at 19 weeks, I had to deliver him and it is still the hardest thing I ever had to do, and your so right I felt ashamed like what was wrong with my body - with me as a woman. I’m supposed to be able to carry right? I went through post partum so bad because of it.
I do wish someone would have given good solid advice - talk about my feelings - don’t feel ashamed because those baby blues and post partum are totally normal girl!!!

I lost my first pregnancy one year ago and I would suggest just telling early if you want to. Because a miscarriage is not something you want to keep secret. That's not healthy. It's was so much heavier, mentally AND physically than I could have ever imagined. And I only knew that I was pregnant for 3 days before I lost it.
But I'm 19 weeks pregnant right now and everything is going well! 😁😁😁

Congrats Ashley!!! Pregnancy and parenthood is such a wild experience. Just a heads up since you talked about the weight and body image aspect, it will take a while for your body to settle in to its new normal after pregnancy. It will experience so many rapid changes over 9ish months and it will take 9 months to a year after pregnancy for your body to settle in. So just be patience with yourself and give your body grace after birth. I have seen a lot of women on Reddit who get frustrated when they haven’t lost ten pounds a month after birth or still can’t fit into their old clothes. I was a small person before pregnancy, I was literally all belly and I couldn’t fit into my old clothes even a year after. It’s not bad, it’s just a byproduct of the miraculous things your body can do!! Can’t wait to follow your experience!

wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy ❤ being someone who had an extremely difficult Hyperemesis Gravidarum pregnancy who didnt get to chose when to tell people i was pregnant because i needed to have medical help and cut back on my work, I'm so happy you've got to have the choice to share your pregnancy how you want to. Based off the extreme nausea and vomiting I had to experience for 9 months and 9 days I recommend eating dry mashed potatoes because the texture doesnt hurt as bad coming back up just incase. Anyways, from a random somewhat new follower of yours who likes to watch your plant content, congrats on your pregnancy 🎉
P.S I suggest keeping a journal during your pregnancy, it can be nice to look back at later in life

Congratulations! Pretty exciting. I had nausea with all of my pregnancies. It's really tough. There isn't one thing that works all the time, but sour hard candies worked more often than anything else. There's also meds if it's really bad. Just do whatever works for you!

I'm so happy for you!! My first pregnancy I had mild nausea for a few weeks, the second one was intense nausea for months. Like a lifetime's worth of nausea. Zofran helped take it down a notch, so if it gets really bad, I'd recommend asking your doc about that. My biggest craving that I remember was cole slaw from Kentucky Fried Chicken. So weird.

Congrats. I always announced early bc i was so excited. Do not feel like talking about a pregnancy early will somehow determine how the pregnancy continues (i know for me i sometimes felt i was for lack of a better term, jinxing myself). You have heard your babys sweet precious heartbeat. I believe you and Chris will be great parents and this little one will be as beautiful as his/her parents.
😂 it’s been 6 years since my pregnancy and oh boy I have NOT forgotten about how terrible it was 😂 but I love my little guy so much. Im planning on trying for another this fall and I am so nervous to do it again. But it’s a blessing and worth it. I hope your pregnancy goes well for you Ashley. 🖤
I too had the aching boobs OMG! And cramps for like a month worse than my period!!! I heard with the first pregnancy your uterus stretches in the beginning and that’s why you can get such bad cramps. I didn’t have morning sickness tho so I consider that a win anyway.
I am soooo excited for you! Sending love and joy and happiness ❤️🎉 my oldest son gave me a present of baby booties for their first baby.. I can remember the feeling of knowing I was going to be a Oma.. And now I have 5 grandchildren and it’s just the best time..
SO happy for you!! One thing you can do to sneak a bit of protein in smoothies is adding Hemp Hearts! They’re available at most grocery stores in the bakery aisle, you may also be able to find unflavored protein powder that you can add in as well to sneak some protein in on the bad days ❤

Congratulations to the both of you. Just take one day at a time and you will get thru it. When I was PG I could not stand the smell of coffee and I love coffee. I ate a lot of shakes & ice cream because I couldn't keep anything down and for the first 3 months I lost weight but then in the 2nd trimester I was not sick anymore and I could finally eat again and my baby was 9 lbs. 2 oz and 21" long. Of course I had a C-section because she was to big. Good Luck and can not wait to see how it is going for you. Love your channel.
With my first pregnancy I was 17 and I still lived with my parents and I had noticed hard patches on my pj tops and I got a bit grouchy with my mom who had washed my pjs and asked if she had done something or used a product to cause "glue" to be hardened on my pjs... she looked at me and said "you're pregnant" and she told me to get dressed and we went pregnancy test shopping, LOL... then she took my dad away for the weekend and I tested and when she called I told her it was positive, which she already knew. She told my dad while away so he couldn't kill my now ex :D HAHAHAHAH I had a regular cycle and wasn't late yet and that was 21 years ago :O The boobs are a very tell tale sign!!! I still love that my mom told me I was pregnant though based on my pjs :D

Congrats!! I'm so happy for you! I'm also pregnant at 13 weeks today and tried for about a year before that 😊 the first pregnancy really is a wild new experience 😅 the symptoms are getting less intense, now I have nausea only in the evenings, I hope it will get easier for you too! 😊❤

I felt like the failure u mentioned. It was 3 yrs ago, I was 8 wks, an was suppose to have my 1st appt that day. I still struggle with emotions about it. But!!! My 1st 2 pregnancies was successful. They now 18 an 23(his is tomorrow. Huge congratulations to u girl. Cnt wait to watch this journey with u. U are just glowing ✨️ 😍 💛

Congratulations. Make sure you take your folic acid to help prevent birth defects. Also try keeping dry crackers at your bedside and eat a couple of them before getting out of bed to help with the nausea. Good luck momma, you got this

When you said about not taking this time that you tested seriously and not watching it like a hawk like normal I can totally relate to that. I just found out that I was pregnant. During the same thing I have PCOS and I normally stare at it like crazy and this time I just had an extra one and took it and like started getting ready for my shower and stuff and was like oh I should check that and it was a big positive positivesick line which is so wild lol but yeah Yours reminded me of that
I couldn't eat any protein when I was pregnant, except peanut butter and protein shakes. The protein shakes saved me. Congratulations!

I was similar to this. I never wanted to he drinking alcohol on accident if i was pregnant, but i wouldnt test more than every 3 months or so. How does your anxiety effect your pregnancy so far? Any noticible ways? Im on medication for my anxiety and ive found its less effective so far

My first pregnancy my sex drive was really high too. I was also very nauseous 24/7 until half way through my 3rd trimester. All i could eat was crackers, plain toast, occasionally Applesauce or banana, sprite or water. The smell of ground beef made me gag and salivate. I was just a mess haha.

For the protein, maybe you could try sweeter high protein things? Like Kodiak Cake (or similar) brand brownies, muffins, etc mixes? Not as much protein as a steak but more than not anything at all?

Congratulations! I have very bad PCOS as well (like 1 period in 10 months) and had to use fertility drugs to conceive my daughter. After that, I got pregnant naturally twice with the second pregnancy leading to my son. The OBGYN told me sometimes a pregnancy can reset your body when you have PCOS so fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻
I was nauseous with my daughter all day, everyday for 17.5 weeks and 12 weeks with my son. Not the healthiest choice, but sucking on jolly ranchers was all that helped! Hopefully it ends soon, for your sake ❤

Girl I did the same thing yesterday, took a test for shits and gigs and didn’t expect anything bc it’s ALWAYS been negative and it was positive within seconds. I took 5 tests before accepting it. I’m about 4 and a half weeks now and I’m in total disbelief
