Where is the UNITY as one nation if St Kitts has the Federal government and Nevis has no part of that...I taught each island had their own local government, and both shared the Federal Government...That is some crazy upside down mess, that need to be change or if no change then both of them need to be separated from each other, so they can both have their own Local and Federal government.

I was always under the impression that St. kitts and Nevis are one Federation.
My mother is from Nevis and my father is from St kitts. I love those beautiful twin island's.
It all sounds very complicated, the island's should try and be one nation.
The government needs to be concerning themselves with the levels of gun crime, not being divided.

It will look like 3 governments for people who live outside, but for residents, it would be 2 governments. As if you're living on either island, you would only be affected by 2 governments, a local and federal.

Nevis tried to Secede from from St.Kitt twice in 1977/ 1998 the procedure 62% of the voting majority on Nevis or 2/3 majority on Nevis which St. kitts have no control

I heard in 1977 that Nevis voted over 90% to secede, but Bradshaw the then Premier of St Kitts and Nevis declared the results illegal.

There could be one Federal Government and a committee in each one of the islands with an Administrator to take care of what goes on.

SKB and Nevis has a complicated relationship. At some point during the Bradshaw administration Nevis wanted to cecede from SKB. I think that one of the reasons why the constitution is so complex. Nevis was basically given concessions to stay. I remember hearing my parents talk about Nevis wanting to cecede and were very concerned about how this would work because my mother is Nevisian and my dad was Kittian. Its not spoken about but thats why there is this underlying tension between the politicians. Do some more research and you'll find some very interesting things about our twin island state.
