I’ve seen Sarah live here in Vienna (Austria) with her latest show a couple days ago. She’s great and even better on stage! She’s 47 now and has many comedy dvds recorded that she has shared on her UA-cam in small clips over the last couple years. She was married the first time from 22 to 29, had an office job and only started doing stand up during her divorce, as a way to cope and because she thought it couldn’t get worse. Nowadays she’s one (if not the first) top earning female comedians in the UK. And she’s been happily married for some time too. 🥰
Sarah just naturally funny l was taught by nuns in some subjects. One day one of the lads who was getting in to trouble for not doing homework. The nun hauled him out in front of the class and said, you will have to show more spunk to get anywhere. At 14 l think it was a given he almost died, the class erupted and her final words were you see even this lot want to see more. The class turned in to uproar the best comedy event at school we ever had.
You two are an absolute hoot! I'd say next time we are back with family in Canada let's share some beers and laughs. But we might be in different provinces! 💚🤍🧡🇮🇪
She went to the same school as me, but I was the year above her at school, so I can barely remember her at school, we were in different social circles.
It means courage, feistiness here also. You have to use or take the word in context. Nobody is going to think somebody is covered in spunk if you say they are spunky for instance.
Yes, but it is slang for the same thing in the USA as well. It's slang use started out as a double meaning. Combining the slang and real meaning. A metaphorical relationship referring to a man's virility. The product being the "proof" or validation of it. Metaphoricalally.
@@bradlucy I cant believe what elaine did, mad as a box of frogs. Only have 6 mins rebuttal starting now. JD 40 mins I think, back on now Emily D Baker
I think "Slanguage" as a word should enter the English lexicon and be used by every English speaker, it needs to be entered into the "Oxford English" dictionary, but Sarah millican is awesome, one of the best comedians to ever come out of the north of England
Yaaaay! One of my favourite Sarah Millican videos! 👍👍Great Reaction. Watching you two react makes her video feel fresh again. 😂 Maybe try Taskmaster? It's a comedy panel show. Five comedians do stupid/crazy/weird tasks for _The Taskmaster._ Each comedian's attempts at tasks are recorded in isolation. They're with the audience when they first see each others attempts. So the comedians reactions to each other is a big part of the show. Here's a 'test run' to discover if you'll like it: _Remove the Table Tennis Ball from the Pipe_ ua-cam.com/video/h_AZT72UgC8/v-deo.html (11m23s) Thank You. Best Wishes. ☮
@@bm.6349 what in my post made you read it and think I was defending male comedians who rely on such weak material . Anyhow your knee jerk reaction demonstrates why women make themselves such easy targets
Spunk has a few different meanings, it can mean courage, mettle. A coarse slang for semen and slang for a 'sexually attractive person. So I suppose it depends on what you are saying when you use the word.
hi guys dont mind if i have a drink with you whilst i have an enjoable giggle with you two lovebirds ...love your channel guys highlight of my night ...Tim.London.U.K
Would 'jism' be the same as 'spunk' in Canada? Unfortunately, 'slanguage' is not a neologism (oh dear, gism again) created by you, but is already recognised by Mirriam-Webster and Urban Dictionary and others. Nice try, though, Brad.
She's terrible, not funny in the slightest. One of the few English comedians who makes me embarrassed to be English, just awful. You two though, are hilarious 😁
@@morbidsnails1913 she's hysterical. If it's the sex talk etc , women when all together are far worse than men. And your partners friends WILL know every aspect of your sex life. Every aspect.
Love Sarah ,will be seeing her Bobby Dazzler show this December.. Being a Geordie myself I understand all her slang...... Cheers
Hello

Yes! I love Strange Brew! What a great movie!

We use spunk in the same way here, as courage, nerve, but yep, the slang meaning is now much more common lol
She's brilliant live x
I'll be finding out next month.
Yes. SARAH IS AWESOME
In Denmark we have a gummi candy named Spunk, brits allways get a hoot out that when they see it

I love Lucy, s red she looks lovely and cuddly 💕.

The video was released in November 2012, so I would imagine the show was late 2011 to early 2012.
My favorite couple on UA-cam!
Great job 👏👍

She’s not slagging men off which seems to be the main ingredient for most female comedians .
Male comedians don’t complain or make fun of women?
