Penelope seems so delightful. The Stark family kinda eases my fear of having kids just a bit. I still know children will put a strain on any relationship but you guys seem happy still. Great role models G&K OTP.
I've been watching LRR content forever but I just want to note how excited about you doing this vlogging, Graham. I've really liked your filming and editing style and I love that between this and G&K in Japan we're getting to see a ton more! Between this and LRL, it's so cool to see how you guys are still evolving as creators.
The gvlogs have quickly become my favourite thing on the LRR channel! And also this vlog in particular got me to blow the dust off my PoGo app and open it up for the first time in like six months. Then after noticing that my battery had drained by 50% in less than 20 minutes of game time I remembered why I stopped playing the first time...
Fun Paras fact: It's based on the cordyceps fungus which is a genus of parasitic fungi that infects insects and essentially zombifies them in order to help the fungus spread it's spores in a good place. This is why Parasect has dead white eyes, ie. it is actually dead. So Paras is actually scratching at the cordyceps fungus on its back.
Loving the VLOGS Graham, and in reference to your comment on getting to do a variety of stuff, I can honestly say that there is nothing I won't watch from you guys (so far) I've loved everything that has come out of the LRR Continuum since I first started watching you all back when I moved to Chicago in mid-2005. On that note, I think it is time to go re-watch the whole Archive again, or at least as much of it as is there (rip Blip)
I was so excited to see Graham drinking the beer from the Barkerville Brewing company at the end of the video. I'm from Quesnel, where the company is based, and it felt so good seeing one of my favourite content creators enjoying something from my hometown.
The Paras scratching itself as if it has flees may be a reference to the poem 'The Siphonaptera': Big fleas have little fleas, Upon their backs to bite 'em, And little fleas have lesser fleas, and so, ad infinitum.
In retrospect, it is astonishing to me that for a couple of months there we had a thing that people dropped all their prejudices for to go out and enjoy together, and that thing was Pokémon.
Loving these vlogs so far even if I am a bit behind. I have my own PoGo open at the time of watching and a Weedle howled up in my kitchen when Kathleen was trying to catch one. I have also been made to duel wield phones when travelling in the passenger seat. Also Garry Oak Meadows would be an amazing place for a Pokemon meet up.
I remember going to Beacon Hill Park when I was a kid! Of course, never imagined that playing at the park would involve any type of electronics! We just went to feed the ducks, play on the equipment and sometimes use the putting green thing!
I do not care about the Pokemon phenomenon one bit, but I really enjoy the way that Graham and Kathleen (as well as most of their town, apparently) are getting into it and are describing the experience and the joy at the process is fun to watch. So, thank you for posting this.
This was a fun blog. I am supremely jealous of the variety of Pokemon you encountered, its further proof I need to find a better walking area for this game. EDIT - Oh and all the Baxter is also excellent.
I love having a glimpse into your world of LRR and Victoria and all the pokemon! ( btws...send some Drowzees down to Louisville, KY. Haven't seen one yet :P) Anywho the vlogs are very much appreciated! personally I'm looking forward to more Agatha Fifty. I need my fix!
If you actually found that Rhydon, I will come to Canada, find you, and take your Rhydon. That is, if you can defeat my CP 10 Ratatta, as specified in the Team Rocket Code of Conduct.
You have seen nothing until you've been a part of a ravaging stampede of 200+ people running to catch a Blastoise on the other side of town. All thanks to the wonders of PokeVision.
There are way 2 many pokestops that you were showing us it now makes me jelly and want to take a train into the city just to catch pokemon coz i have no where near that amount anywhere near me as i ain't in a city. I'm liking the vlogs by the way especially since i have been following vloggers for the last 3 years i'm used to what your doing and hope you have good success with it in the future =)
Could not get into Pokemon go (more a digit on person) but it's nice to see that it is getting people to enjoy parks and other places outside. I have a Bit off an on off my lawn moment at times cause I like when my cities parks were a bit empty and I could just chill. Love the vlogs.
I want the Gvlogs all the times in my eyes... and all of the G&K in Japan... you could do all these things on your own channel... which i would happily sub to :)
Paras-the-insect might be trying to scratch off the mushrooms? If I remember rightly from reading the Pokedex entries forever ago, the mushrooms are only working their way into it as Paras, it's only when they become Parasect that the (now combined?) mushroom fully takes over control.
the paras is actually the insect and the shroom is a parasite. its also possible that the paras is the shroom and not the bug but thats not specified anywhere. shockingly thats also where the name paras(ite) comes from. i know mind=blown
Yeah, its actually very similar beer wise here in Cincinnati; with in the last couple years, there has been an explosion of good beers. My uncle, who also lives in Victoria, says that it's kinda eerie how similar they are.
Graham, you may want to consider adjusting your seat belt. It should be over your shoulder line, or it will push down on your shoulder should you be involved in an accident. Just a friendly concern. :-D I usually don't like watching vlogs and loading times and such, but I did this time for whatever reason. I enjoyed it. :-P And I like that you have variety on your channel, that just means that there's a greater chance of me finding something here I enjoy. So, go LRR!
In your defence, Graham, Gary Oak likely is named after the Garry Oak, as the Professor himself is also likely named after a species of Oak, the Salem. Pokémon has a long and sordid history of twisting the names of plant species into character names, in at least English and Japanese.
i was at a park last night in sasebo. around 9-10pm, it was dark and there was about 20 people in the area due to a triple venn pokestop with two lures. i had just leveled and got a lure so i threw that up and caught pokemon for about an hour. got plenty of bats as well as eevees, psyducks, and even a dratini. twas kinda beautiful. on a side note, there was also a gang of kids (presumably sailors from the nearby base) on bikes and stuff cruising around and getting pokemon
Love your vlogs, G, but they always make me feel inadequate. Compared to anything I could turn out myself, the production values are too dang high! ;) Also, I keep catching myself trying to edit while shooting; I'm trying to think of interesting shots in my head and only recording stuff that I think fits together. Any tips for getting out of that mindset and more "shoot it all, figure it out in editing"? Keep up the great work!
I do love the variety that you guys provide on here. IMO, if you only did one thing, it would get too repetitive and boring. Side note: I would not mind seeing more of these. Awesome vid.
Blue raspberry is a thing in North America. There was a health scare about dark red dye in the 70s, and after that raspberry candy needed a color, and no one was using blue. So they did.
Totally enjoying these vlogs and looking forward to them whenever you can do them. Also I started watching Casey Neistats vlogs on your recommendation and am hooked! So thanks for all the good stuff :)
I don't consider myself a beer snob either but I also love the microbrews that are in my area. Apricot Hefeweizen is far and away my favorite even though I have no idea how to spell it.
I live in Bat country. All my best pokemon are Golbats. I get 8 zubats for every non zubat pokemon. My entire city is basically just the zubat cave that everybody hated as a kid.
add onto that the mushrooms on a Paras's back are literally parasites, pulling nutrients from it's body, and it's evolved form Parasect the mushroom has reached the point where it's completely taken over the hosts body
I like these blogs and would like more if they aren't a big drain on your time making other things. It doesn't seem like it would be, since the filming is mostly a 'while we're at it' addon to whatever you were already doing, but there is editing... Also, your cat is awesome. Mine is a lazy bag of fluffy garbage.
May i ask, what is the "G" in GVLog? A vlog is a video log, but google fails to find anybody else using gvlog, and i can only guess as to what the g stands for. Maybe Graham Video Log, or Gaming Video Log. General Video Log?
The guy on the right at 6:15 looks and sounds like Jer from a parallel universe where he was never in LRR
I thought something similar.
Penelope seems so delightful. The Stark family kinda eases my fear of having kids just a bit. I still know children will put a strain on any relationship but you guys seem happy still. Great role models G&K OTP.
You just know all the vapers are evolving their Eevees into Vap(e)oreons.
The urge to straighten your glasses is... wow its powerful.
I've been watching LRR content forever but I just want to note how excited about you doing this vlogging, Graham. I've really liked your filming and editing style and I love that between this and G&K in Japan we're getting to see a ton more! Between this and LRL, it's so cool to see how you guys are still evolving as creators.
These vlogs are great Graham :) The whole video editing game is strong and it's great to see more content from it :D

This is why Parasect has dead white eyes, ie. it is actually dead. So Paras is actually scratching at the cordyceps fungus on its back.
Cordyceps is also the basis of the zombie fungus in The Last of Us, so that's another fun fact.
I'm pleasantly surprised! I assumed that the previous gvlog was just a lark on your part, and I wasn't actually expecting another one.
I really enjoy these Vlogs, And i get the feeling you enjoy making them.
Loving these vlogs as well as the Japan trip series. Would still love to see some of the other LRR cast members doing a day in the life of vlog.
I really these blogs and I look forward to seeing more on the future, no matter how sporadic they happen. I enjoy surprises every now and again. :)
I was so excited to see Graham drinking the beer from the Barkerville Brewing company at the end of the video. I'm from Quesnel, where the company is based, and it felt so good seeing one of my favourite content creators enjoying something from my hometown.
The music you used for this video reminds me of the "Shake Hands With Danger" music thing you did. Also, great vlog.
The Paras scratching itself as if it has flees may be a reference to the poem 'The Siphonaptera':
Big fleas have little fleas,
Upon their backs to bite 'em,
And little fleas have lesser fleas,
and so, ad infinitum.
love all you kids do at LRR! keep up all the great works. thank you!!!!
In retrospect, it is astonishing to me that for a couple of months there we had a thing that people dropped all their prejudices for to go out and enjoy together, and that thing was Pokémon.
The cat is a great babysitter
A pokewalk in the day and WWE Battleground in the afternoon was my Sunday too. I've never felt closer to you, Graham.
I love those two guys who knew who you are. How often does that happen when anyone is walking around?
I, too, was wondering this. Is the LRR crew notorious in Victoria?
I was going to ask that, too. Are you somewhat well-known in Victoria? Or are you just considered one of the local camera crews?
Really diggin' the format! Keep it coming!
I love these vlogs, please don't stop!
oh man, the number of people i have seen vaping and playing pokemon go at the same time, truly the hobbies that are meant to be
When your phone vibrates with another upload to your Pokémon GO subscription, and it turns out to be another Rattata crapping up your subscription.
Very much enjoying the gvlogs.
You guys are awesome you guys got me in to magic and the rest of your guys videos are amazing keep up the good work

I quite enjoyed this Pokevlog. Thanks guys!
8:44 The fact that you can't catch those Psyducks is Farfetch'd. I'll just go now.
This was a fun blog. I am supremely jealous of the variety of Pokemon you encountered, its further proof I need to find a better walking area for this game.

Do what you like! Your content is pretty awesome and I'm often pleasantly surprised!
If you actually found that Rhydon, I will come to Canada, find you, and take your Rhydon. That is, if you can defeat my CP 10 Ratatta, as specified in the Team Rocket Code of Conduct.
Graham said it "...yes, definitely, on this schedule." I will be happy to see this more~ ;)
You have seen nothing until you've been a part of a ravaging stampede of 200+ people running to catch a Blastoise on the other side of town. All thanks to the wonders of PokeVision.

"Yeah, don't watch it." *occurs more than halfway through the video to find out* ;-)
I love these I really truly do, like these are just wonderful.

love the gvlogs.. its nice to see you guys do normal things.. you don't always have to be 'on'
I AIN'T A POKEMON! STOP THROWING BALLS AT ME!
Yeah, its actually very similar beer wise here in Cincinnati; with in the last couple years, there has been an explosion of good beers. My uncle, who also lives in Victoria, says that it's kinda eerie how similar they are.

Was half expecting to see James in a hockey jersey on a couch at 13:55 :D
We have a rose garden at the park nearest where I live too, and your comment on its beauty as a pokestop rings true.
Victoria seems like a really pretty place to live. That park was gorgeous! Wish I had one like that here.
In your defence, Graham, Gary Oak likely is named after the Garry Oak, as the Professor himself is also likely named after a species of Oak, the Salem.
Pokémon has a long and sordid history of twisting the names of plant species into character names, in at least English and Japanese.
When Graham gets that Staryu, Kathleen's face looks so jealous. Poor Kathleen :-( .
I go to Victoria (from the mainland) a bunch, I love seeing all the places I go to in the vlog
Barkerville White Gold. Foreshadowing...
i was at a park last night in sasebo. around 9-10pm, it was dark and there was about 20 people in the area due to a triple venn pokestop with two lures. i had just leveled and got a lure so i threw that up and caught pokemon for about an hour. got plenty of bats as well as eevees, psyducks, and even a dratini. twas kinda beautiful.

Loved it! More please. Also could you link the specific Gorillapod you got? Cheers :)
Thank you! Was looking for a good source for music and the selection that YT has available is a little lack lustre.
wonder if anyone on the localization team was away of the gerry oak tree, it might be a neat reference
Id love to have a park like that near me! I live in the woods in Maine and I have to walk a mile until I have the opportunity to catch a Pidgey.
This game man, it's going to take over the world!
Love your vlogs, G, but they always make me feel inadequate. Compared to anything I could turn out myself, the production values are too dang high! ;)

YAY more of this!!
You officially can't deny gary oaks girth.
Gvlog best vlog
Hang on... a *raspberry* slushy, is bright blue!? Mind blown.
"blue raspberry"
Blue raspberry is a thing in North America. There was a health scare about dark red dye in the 70s, and after that raspberry candy needed a color, and no one was using blue. So they did.
*< insert "The more you know." graphic here >*
Interesting. :0
I'm the world's biggest beer snob. I've never had a beer I liked.
Neither have I
Wow....so graham&kat are a thing and they populated....where have i been.....lol....need to binge watch more LRR stuff
Totally enjoying these vlogs and looking forward to them whenever you can do them. Also I started watching Casey Neistats vlogs on your recommendation and am hooked! So thanks for all the good stuff :)
'the best of victoria polls' i cant wait for the 'best of insberg polls' XD
really liked this video
I like to put the gvlogs in my eyes
Totally didn't pause the video to open Pokemon Go... While pooping.
Those Psyducks must be shinys, they aren't yellow!
Wow, stuff's happening! That gym was "inside" earlier
I don't consider myself a beer snob either but I also love the microbrews that are in my area. Apricot Hefeweizen is far and away my favorite even though I have no idea how to spell it.
You spelled it right don't worry. Also knowing my local beer scene, I suspect we're in the same one.
BAXTER IS SUCH A BIG FLUFF
I live in Bat country. All my best pokemon are Golbats. I get 8 zubats for every non zubat pokemon. My entire city is basically just the zubat cave that everybody hated as a kid.
Kitties!
Curses you've toppled my nefarious scheme.
How does a parasite have parasites? Clearly you've never seen aphids infected with mites. It happens, they're tiny.
add onto that the mushrooms on a Paras's back are literally parasites, pulling nutrients from it's body, and it's evolved form Parasect the mushroom has reached the point where it's completely taken over the hosts body
Eldritch Moon: Pokemon Edition?
8:40 That joke is just too Farfetch'd.
1:40 it is either that or stay at home and catch another baby i guess?
Dedication to his craft.
Nothing's more adult than leaving your baby with your parents in Order to go Catch Pokemon in the park with your wife.
Question!? We're allowed to ask questions!? Sweet!
1) When did you get a car?
2) When might we be seeing the return of the Magnum Rewatch podcast?
Graham you are a delight
I like these blogs and would like more if they aren't a big drain on your time making other things. It doesn't seem like it would be, since the filming is mostly a 'while we're at it' addon to whatever you were already doing, but there is editing...
Also, your cat is awesome. Mine is a lazy bag of fluffy garbage.
see I live in a small town and that means less stops (there is like 7 in the town) less pokemon, but a strong community
I like GVlogs in my eyes.
are we not getting any more lets plays of fall out
There is way too much concentrated cute in your household.
greetings from germany, this is AWESOME,
MFG Hannes
If you want to know what MFG is, ask in the next video (,or google)
Where is the next agatha fisty coming out?
Ya, more Agatha Fisty or I threaten to babysit...
May i ask, what is the "G" in GVLog? A vlog is a video log, but google fails to find anybody else using gvlog, and i can only guess as to what the g stands for. Maybe Graham Video Log, or Gaming Video Log. General Video Log?
Did you manage to get the two Doc crews to westside story or not?
UA-cam should make a system where the creators can categorize their videos, so people could subscribe to certain categories but not others.
+Travis B I'd love that.
Yall are so cute together :)
gvlogs are fun, whatever happened to Agatha Fisty? just been edged out with a busy summer?
