    Beautiful shape! I see the trunk and branches have been "biten" by the wires that shaped them. Is this unavoidable because of the soft nature of the jade tree? Would wrapping the wires in rubber tubing have prevented it? Thank you

    • @bonsaihunter007
      @bonsaihunter007  2 роки тому +1

      I tried with many things but the plant died....wire biting is considered not good for bonsai but it also gives texture to the trunk and branches ..... The solution is to rewire it frequently ....

    Informative video on bonsai. I have a query. When tip are cut of branches then 2 or more branches come creating more branching. However, when leaves / small side branches are cut from lower portion of branches to get bonsai look, then do new leaves and branches again appear at these cut points also - if yes, then is it required to keep removing them?

    • @bonsaihunter007
      @bonsaihunter007  3 роки тому

      New branches will sprout regularly, you have to remove the unwanted branches to keep the plant in shape

    • @vaibhavjain2791
      @vaibhavjain2791 3 роки тому

      @@bonsaihunter007 Ok, so it means even from portions from where branches were not needed and removed, they would keep sprouting and need to be removed regularly.

    Hey, I have two massive jade plants. They’re in the ground, the main stems are about 8in across. Is there any way I can prune or cut it and turn it into a bonsai? Even if I just remove branches? The branches are about 3-4inches across. We sold our house and I don’t want to leave them behind. Please help.

    • @bonsaihunter007
      @bonsaihunter007  4 роки тому

      Dig out from the ground with some roots and grow it in big pot with well drained soil...with 50 percent sand and grit....when removing from soil...dig it approx one feet away from trunk from all sides and try to save the roots...and one thing more prune the unwanted branches and more than 50 percent of leaves to prevent the shock of repotting....good luck
