Incredible 500 Year Old Korean Papermaking Demo: Joomchi

See Yangbin Park’s demo on Joomchi, a centuries old Korean paper making technique at the Southern Graphics Council conference. The only ingredients for Joomchi are hanji or mulberry paper, and water. I was totally expecting there to be at least one adhesive, so this was a lovely surprise.

Clara Lieu was an Adjunct Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design from 2007-2020. Her artwork has been exhibited at the International Print Center NY, the Currier Museum, Childs Gallery, the Davis Museum, and more.
